    I'll probably keep watching your King Quad videos so that I can learn how to keep mine going! Thanks for making them. Hope you get to a carb rebuild someday...mine won't idle off a slight choke...been like that for years, especially in the cold.

    • @Schneids15
      @Schneids15  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can try to bump up the idle sometimes that is all that is. I may do a carb rebuild video i have a friends that needs to be done.

      Try keeping it in gear. For some reason mine dies in neutral but it will just sit there and idle in first gear. Strangest thing.

    Very good videos. I just bought my son a 1999 King Quad 300. It runs great, just has no brakes. I have ordered a new drum and shoes for the back. The previous owner completely removed the front brakes cause they would constantly freeze up on him in winter. He stated they were notorious for this. I think we will be fine with just back ones for now. I have going to fix them, change oil and spark plug. Thanks again for all the great videos.

  • @cjackfly
    @cjackfly 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Thanks! Didn't know any of that! 😂Ok, did it. Ended up using 15-40 because that's what the store had at the time. Figure I'll change it again before winter. Getting the level right was the issue I ran into. When I filled to what looked like the right level, after running it for 15 miles, it was low. Then after putting what seemed to be the right amount to get it to the right level, it was high. Only have 10 miles since though so will check again after 5 more.

    I have a 95 Suzuki king quad 300 and I’m getting gas in the oil. My compression is at 110 psi. Would the piston rings be to blame for gas in the oil? Also it smokes bad. I’m currently doing a carb rebuild/cleaning.

    • @Schneids15
      @Schneids15  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gas in oil is likely from a bad float in the carb. However that compression is very low and the fuel is likely washing by a bit.
