Great video! I really like the timestamps you put at the bottom of your videos as well, it's always nice to know when a video was taken imo. They have a pretty neat freeway system given the size of their region
Hoping that I-14 will also be in New Mexico and Texas, starting at I-25 in Las Cruces as of western terminus and run with US-70, which going through Alamogordo New Mexico, which have a Holloman Air Force Base there, then US-54 & US-70 does merge together for 10 miles then future I-14 will go east on US-82 for more then 100 miles to Lovington New Mexico, then go southeast on NM-18 to Hobbs New Mexico, then to east on US-62, going into Texas, until to Seminole Texas where it pick up US-385 going south toward TX-158, just north of Midland Texas, going toward I-20. Future I-14 will run with TX-158 until Sterling City where it pick up US-87 which go through San Angelo and Brady Texas, and finally to US-190 from Brady Texas to Copperas Cove Texas and Fort Hood Military Facility where it meet with existing I-14 from there.
Yes it will take a long time. It will take 30 years of construction to build Interstate 14. Interstate 14 is also a interstate that will cost multi billion dollars to construct.
Like to see another new future interstate in Texas, and it will be I-18. I-18 might connect from Dallas Texas to future I-14 in Jasper Texas, going toward Louisiana state line, which is about 50 miles away to the east, and that is phase 1. If I-14 fail to go to Alexandria Louisiana from Jasper Texas, since Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, including LeJeune Military Facility near Jacksonville North Carolina, if these states lack of funding to build I-14. The latter will be I-42 in North Carolina which connect from I-40, south of Raleigh to Morehead, via US-70 which covers 136 miles in length. I-42 will go near LeJeune Military Facility.
It's asinine that Belton has 2 interstates, while Austin, just an hour to the south, is a major metropolitan area with just 1! The idea for I-14 is a statewide interstate that doesn't serve anywhere particularly necessary, and as-is, the road would have been MUCH better off as I-135 or another odd 3di, freeing the I-14 designation to serve Austin via 290 or 71. Completely idiotic of txdot, and whoever else played a role in naming this joke of a 2di.
I-14 at large does have a purpose though: to connect military bases and ports better. Right now it's only passing through this small stretch but like I-69 it's going to eventually become a full interstate throughout the country. Additionally, an interstate designation is just that though, a designation. Belton may have 2 interstates but it really doesn't mean much of anything... they could resign all the state tollways in Austin as interstates, yet nothing would be any different in regards to traffic and accessibility to destinations. This road already existed as US 190 before they gave it I-14, so it's not as if they just built a freeway through a small region just to have a new interstate.
I have nothing against this stretch of road itself, in fact, it's pretty cool that this connection exists. I just can't comprehend why "connecting military bases and ports better" is a higher priority than serving an exploding metro area of 2 billion people, especially a metro which has trash freeway connections outside of I-35. I suppose I wouldn't have as much of a problem if Austins pitiful transportation didn't exist. Maybe I'm severely underestimating the _otherworldly_ economic benefits that come from these bases and ports in comparison to building a controlled access connection between 2 of the states biggest cities (with Houston). All I know is, having such a short 2di in it's current state completely messed with the integrity of the interstate system. Also, it's been a while since I've read up on any of this, but outside of Texas last I've heard I-14 is a total pipe dream.
I think they should change it to I-18 instead in Texas, because the "8" is the least use on interstate highways that ends with an "8" as the last digit. We already have I-8 from San Diego California to I-10, between Phoenix and Tucson Arizona, I-68 does serve in West Virginia and Maryland, I-78 is served from east of Harrisburg Pennsylvania to Holland Tunnel in New Jersey, and 2 of I-88s, one in Illinois, and the other one in New York. They could also use I-48 from Tulsa Oklahoma, across Arkansas, the "Tail" in Southeastern Missouri, and into Jackson Tennessee, which run concurrently with US-412 in these four states.

Thank you for the feedback and will continue to do so ^^
Interstate 14 should be done on January 26th 2047.
Hopefully I’ll still be alive then
It would be an amazing sight
Nice video bro!
Awww, thank you 😊
Interstate 14 from Interstate 35 to State Road 195 is under construction to add a new lane. The project will cost $81,000,000.00
Nice video, I like the unique taste of music you use for these videos.
Thank you and really appreciate the feedback you’ve given. Really wanted to share the music I’m into in a tangible way.

We also need a high-speed rail next to i-14
This is interesting. A new interstate.
Interstate 14 has plans for segment 2 from mile marker 317-325.
Interstate 14 has over 1,000 miles left to designate
Seems like this will take a long time to see it through

Like the video; hate, hate, hate the I-14 designation. Interesting that it gets that developed in killeen.
Glad that you enjoyed my video and feedback is greatly appreciated.
Though I’m very curious as to why you happen to dislike the I-14 designation?

I never been on IH-14 before
Are they going to put a direct ramp onto I35 South?
