How 'Tap and Go' Changed the Payments Industry

Consumers have increased their use of contactless payments since the start of the Covid pandemic, contributing to a surge in electronic payments and a record number of cards issued in the US. Mastercard CFO Sachin Mehra tells Lisa Abramowicz how this "tap and go" technology has changed the payments business on Bloomberg Chief Future Officer.

Tap and go is 0.55% per every sale. Thats $5.50 per $1,000. X4 purchases of a 1000 per month x12 = $265.00 (approx 1,400.00 over 5 years)

i would have liked to hear the intervier ask why do we even need Mastercard? Apple pay/Google pay and other have far superior security and conveince in their own platfroms. Digital Currency makes a credit card obsolete. there is no need for it, other than delaying payments for 1-30 days.

Hi friends, I pray you come to Jesus Christ for salvation. He's the only way to eternal life! He loves you so much He died for your sins. He was crucified in fact, buried and raised again on the 3rd day according to the scriptures. Why would want to turn down that free gift. He's calling you to repent and trust Him. Our way may seem right but it usually leads to destruction. Jesus Christ isn't just a righteous man or good teacher, He's Lord of lords and King of kings! He's coming back to judge this world full of sin and evil. Please rethink your plans, it's not to late to turn. I did it and was born-again! Leaving behind my old way and now I live through the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. God's Spirit is given to those who believe in His only-begotten Son Jesus Christ and who trust in Him alone. Good works can't save us, philanthropy can't save us, yoga can't save us, dead saints can't save us, new age can't save us, self-denial can't save us nor us thinking we're so called gods! We are just plain human and only the Creator of the world in which we live CAN and WILL save those who chose Him. The Word of God says every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! And He is! God bless you! 😊
