I want to learn Korean because I made a new Friend who is from Korea. She doesn’t know a lot of English and I’ve been communicating with her through translator. I want to become closer to her so that I have at least one friend in my drama class. She is very kind and I feel if I know a little Korean she would feel like she belongs In our school :)

I am learning Korean because my friend said I can't learn Korean faster then her. So I made a deal with her saying that if I beat her in learning Korean she has to do what ever I say for 6 weeks. But if she learns faster then me, she gets to say mean words to me for 1 week. So thank you for your video's. I might win this challenge. Yes exactly! I wanted to learn Korean Alphabet, and I did it. But I didn't want to lose my low level of Korean, because I learned this alphabet hardly and I was be able to read, but I didn't know how to speak. And however, i just want to keep with my poor level, it's better than forgetting everything. I'm learning some languages principally Chinese, and I'm in love with Chinese. But i don't feel the same with Korea, it's hard for me to learn Korean, stressful, because i don't have a reason to learn; i don't like K-pop and those things, i like dramas but anyway i prefer Japanese or Chinese Dramas. So! I need a reason to learn Korean, because it's so boring for me, and it's why, i don't have a reason to learn
EDIT: I love so much these singers: Song sohee and So hyang (hope I could spell their names properly) I like Korea a lot now, I still feel better learning chinese but korean is also a beautiful language I would like to work on it later
Thanks for the reply maria, i tried to learn Japanese and i liked but Chinese i never tried because i think it's a hard language, heard they have more than 5000 kanji characters so for you to be learning this language you must be a pro hehe, btw i never read japanese dramas but i like their culture and some of the songs that i listen are japanese.
Same here. I saw a random video mentioning how simple the alphabet is to learn and the history behind it and it made me excited to go for it! Yes I do want to be able to sing along in songs and stuff but it's more like a perk than reason. I'm already bilingual and I am so fluent in both that it's super boring and I want to exercise my brain by adding another language to the mix. :) My poor friend is right now going through my nag of "whoa this word is this in Korean and this in Swedish" followed by an excited rant why it fascinates me xD I love learning but I haven't felt this excited and alive about learning something in a really long time! I love the Korean language more and more every day which kind of surprises me. :)

This video is very helpful..I love korean food and culture. I watch a lot of K dramas and realized I'm learning little words and expressions so I'm like why not learn the language and when my kids get bigger I want to go to Korea and be able to speak the language..Also I will start in Korea town and I would love to hold conversations at the restaurants and pub with the staff. I just love how the language sounds but most of all the foods. This video is making it super fast to learn basics and the differences in when and how to say things just like a simple hi and by or formal or super formal. Love this video.

i'm tryna learn for 3 reasons,
i want to be able to understand my faves when they do lives ( or have videos without subs ) since there aint no subtitles ill have to wait and i really wanna comment but i know they wont understand-
i wanna watch kdramas like some of the english sub aint even that accurate and i want to understand what they're saying properly even without the subs i sometimes have to wait for SOOO long before the kdrama gets subtitle.

We already had a lot of fun talking without knowing much of each other's language. They keep calling my friend "my cupid!" "My angel!" "Our baby!" And pinching her face it's freaking hilarious and adorable 🥰😂
Super cool!!!!!! I need to start learning too! Watching almost every movie drama etc. Koreans say the most savage things, some things that I don't say in my language because it would sound corny but Koreans just say it naturally and proud. For example:
Koreans isn't afraid to express their feelings if they see a fat person they would just say it out of respect. They express so much that's why they run the acting industry and also music industry. Very gifted people in my opinion.
I am an English teacher in Mexico. In my city, we have many native Korean students or Korean students from the USA who don't know a lot of Spanish and don't have enough English skills to communicate. My first love when it comes to Asian languages is Japanese and I love Japanese language and culture, but I am just dipping my toes in this language to see if I can try and communicate with them better. They must feel so alone and frustrated sometimes.

Really good how to Express the language
I remember Korean things pretty easily and I’m here to tell you the trick.
I recommend keeping a notebook and right down everything you learned in a certain day. Take 3-5 days to study everything you learned that day.
In those 3-5 days practice typing on your phone in notes and writing in a notebook. Take notes too!
Study about 15-30 minutes a day. Over the course you will find yourself remembering the words.
Soon you will find yourself remembering the words pretty easily. All I can say without practice you won’t get better, so keep trying! :)
