Has anybody ever told you that your parents did a great job raising you...both of you are the nicest, most kind hearted people eveŕ...it is so enjoyable watching yall every week...the episodes go so fast...i just love watching everything you're accomplishing, and that mill is gonna be the most amazing place when your done....love u guys, god bless.....❤❤
We are very lucky to have parents that cared and loved each of us. 🙏 Neither of us would be where we are today without that. Our hope is that anybody thinking about having kids or who already has kids (young or old) knows the power they have to impact the next generations and make a single life exponentially better. It's ripple effect. I'm not sure how many parents realize this and that the small moments and example they set for their kiddos goes on and on and on. Once we had the basic tools and solid foundation in life we have constantly sought a life that pushes us to be kinder and accomplish more. Onwards to building something even more great in the mountains of Portugal and in this online community ❤️🎶⛰️✨
You guys need to wear masks when sweeping all that dust and rat poop. I was an ICU nurse and I was having a heart attack seeing you breathe in all that. It’s so dangerous! Please don’t forget your health when working. Great job otherwise! I also moved to Portugal and love it here.
Totally agree. It is hard to remember when one is strong & healthy that it is not just proper food and exercise/yoga that will protect that glorious health! ❤
A must to protect your eyes, lungs, hearing and appendages. I’m a retired Environmental Occupational H&S Specialist. Your health is no joke, be prepared wear the appropriate PPE and stay safe everyone. Great progress, great experiences!
As many have commented, please use high quality respirators - with replaceable filters - for sweeping, cutting/grinding stone or brick, dust, etc. Silicosis or infection is a real risk. NYTimes just reported young men with fatal disease who work cutting countertops, so sad. Wow, the roof starting, fabulous! So nice to see all 3 kitties 😻
Honestly, I found myself holding my breath with all the dust, "droppings and whatever" being swept into the air. Good masks and goggles should be a must. You did a fantastic job with all that work. So glad the kitty returned!
It’s too late now, but I don’t understand why you guys didn’t wear respirators for this work! Rat droppings can carry serious diseases in the next Oceanpoint here in the US we are told to wear respirator mask when doing any work that may contain animal droppings! Sometimes I am really concerned for you guys because you’re so naïve! Also be aware that any particles that get into your lungs never get out again! So breathing and cement dust is really a bad thing! Please take more precautions where I’ve protections! I’m also concerned about you, swimming in that little pond that you created! Here in the United States when water gets lukewarm or warm, especially in the Florida area they are discovering flesh eating bacteria! You don’t know what is in that water if you’re going to have a pond do one with a cement base so that you can add chlorine to it! You are too young to be living this dangerously, any illnesses that you get at your age can affect you for the rest of your life. Please be more cautious. Yes, you can possibly swim in the river with running water by creating a pond when temperatures get incredibly warm, like they do in Portugal can be very dangerous for bacterial growth, especially for your eyes your nose, your ears, and if you have any minor cuts it off, they can be susceptible to infections! Sorry to be such a downer, but you’re too young to be this careless with your health
My dad died with Pulmonary Fibrosis and you are sooooooo right! And also that time pond makes me concerned about brain amoeba as well. Grows in warm water and there is no surviving it! 😫😵😵💫😱
Glad the babies decided that life was going to be good for them around the mill! And that Drew let you feed him the grapes this time lol. Things are heading in "that" direction on the building side of things, so I'm totally excited for you both. I'm here for the long haul as they say!
So grateful to have you here for it all! The kitties, the grape feeding, and now (finally) works on the mill!! Oooo you’re gona love the coming episodes 🤗💕💪
Hey guys PLEASE wear industrial masks while sweeping all that dust, rat poo & grim!! Your health is paramount while renovating & living healthy lives as you do! Momentous job omg I admire you both working SO hard, I wish you would protect your respiratory system? Love from Land downer under!! 🇦🇺💜💙🤗
PLEASE wear good masks (at least KN95, or the equivalent there) when handling all the dust and rat poop. Don’t want any lung issues down the road! Love you guys!
I also have a bat, soon to be evicted as they carry diseases. They do not like light, shiny things or peppermint oil, from what I've read. Placing a bat box away from your home, up high in a tree will detour them. You two are such hard working devoted mill owners. I can't wait to see the fruits of your hard labor ❤ Those bee hives make incredible lights & so many other cool things
I'm also a nurse and don't get near that bat. He needs to be relocated eventually. But if either of you get bitten, you're going to have to get rabies series immediately. Hope your Tetanus bosters are up to date too. Love you both.
After rebuilding the steel supports to replace the tree trunks. I suggest that you use plaster-like cement to mock-up a design of a tree trunk around it , then incorporate it with several strategically placed short branches to hang stuff and then paint it to resemble the original trees that were there to keep the spirit of that elf-like magical vibe they exuded into that wonderful space! :)
As the structure is still hard surfaces I would suggest getting the place pressure washed floor to ceiling incl. all mystery holes to start with a clean safe enviroment.
Great job Agree about the masks - those fine particulates can really mess you up. But your work ethic and 'can do' spirit is great to watch. My husband and I love catching up with you guys each week and we are very happy that all 3 cats are now back together.
I'm soooo happy Minoo (not sure of spelling) is back! I noted you feed the kitties at the camper. They are clearly loving the attention you give them. Just a suggestion...start moving the food closer to the catio over time when they are fully trusting, but not with the idea to lock them in. Get a cat tree for the catio and put wooden planks up on the sides for them to climb on. Maybe even get those igloo type kennels made from plastic. Put those on a table with some patio cushions inside. Kitties like being high up. Winter is coming and the rain is coming so they will need a warm and dry place. Just because they are outdoor kitties does not mean they don't feel the cold. Like their previous owner said that they would come in the house and sit by the fireplace. Just leave the catio door open all the time for them. The kitties are trusting you guys and will soon see they have a safe place to go to for a cat nap. Maybe sprinkle some cat nip on the cat tree and on the cushions in the igloos to encourage them in but then walk away so that they can see you have no intention of locking them in. When it gets really cold you can add snuggly blankets. When you move into the house you can always move the catio and put it somewhere next to the house. Who knows, maybe then they will be so used to you they will move into the house. Many outdoor cats have become indoor and outdoor cats.
Bom dia Britney and Drew, Pro tip: when sweeping concrete, use a water spray bottle to spray where you're sweeping. It stops the dust from billowing up and you from breathing it in. Looking forward to following the transformation of this amazing place!
How wonderful...starting on the home....happy you guys wore a mask, but you might need a more effective one. All that dust can't be great to inhale. I am excited for this next level of renovations.
😿🙀😻😹 I'm so happy ur kitten returned! She was probably out marking the territory and mapping out sceanery! It's good to see ur work progressing! I hope u saved that beautiful huge basket! Leave it in the rain so so all the nasties wash away, it will make a great place to store fire wood! I've never seen one so big!
I dittto the many comments about wearing masks - but so pleased to see the mill getting a new hat. Once its dried in you'll feel more like your making a home for yourselves - stay safe and well and give the fur babies a hug from the UK - 🥰🥰🥰🥰
So glad for you both. 1 the last kat came home and 2 the great effort you made to clean out the bottom floor ready for the next stage of the build. All cats are really starting to look at home. Glad for you both. Lots of love ❤❤❤
Totally agree! This couple seems to make a great effort to count their blessings. Everything is not hyped as one step away from disaster. I enjoy these videos they produce very much!❤
I just love your video's. Your attutude to what needs doing is amazing and you both do it with such calm and positivity. It's no wonder those beautiful cats have all come home as they know There's always going to be hugs when they need them. Looking forward to your next step in your renovations. Take Care, and stay safe, Hugs UK
You two are amazing. One project at a time is the best strategy. I’m 70 and am painting the inside and outside of my 4 Bedroom home with the view to selling. I intend on selling in August next year and am doing one project at a time. Just finished the second bedroom and first coat on the 7metre hallway.
Cleaning and moving heavy items is a hard work but very satisfying. So glad to see all of your Kitties are together and 1 eyed kitty is back and safe! 💜🐈🐈🐈⬛
I must say, it really is a mystery to me that so many of these awesome TH-camrs that are rehabbing old places and documenting it, have, for the most part - no help? No buddies flying in for a year (or a few months/weeks) to help. Doesn't anybody have some really solid strong friends that want to be a part of the (your) success? I'd be swimming over and helping and having a blast!
I didn't expect mama cat to show up. What a surprise! So happy that all your kitties are finally accounted for. So, sweet! Someday, when house is clean, will you be introducing kitties to house mouse patrol? Stay safe & healthy - in future mask & glove up. But, great job! You're working hard. Happy to see your watermill is finally moving ahead.
May I give you a tip? When using the broom to gather dust, you better sprinkle water over the area. You can do it with your hand. That way you avoid dust clouds, you don't breathe in the dust and you get the room much cleaner. X
Agree with others who are encouraging that you wear masks when sweeping up rodent feces and urine. Read up on Hantavirus to learn more. While it may not be as prevalent in Portugal, it's better to be safe than sorry. I really enjoy watching your channel and seeing the progress you're making. Stay safe, you two!
maybe said before in this post , but i would have used at least a dustmask when i would move something dusty and riddled with animal residu , or sweep the floor ............ prevents a big chance of an infection on the lungs !
Health & safety mentality kicked in when I saw no gloves or masks...Eeeeck 🤪 Apart from that, how absolutely & utterly EXCITING to see the start of what's gonna be an amazing project. Made with love (obviously). Yeehaaah guys. Am Soooo happy all 3 fur babies are together & settling well. Looking forward to next week. 💖🙏💖
Perhaps you could use the old beams and support pillars from the old roof to build a pergola near the beach. That way you would still be able to keep the memories alive from the original water mill.
You are certainly getting a lot done, congratulations. As so many people have said, wear a mask when sweeping up dust, also damp down the floors, you can use a garden sprayer or a very fine mist from the hose pipe, not too much as it will make everything muddy. Onwards and upwards, love your channel.
You two are something else. All that cleaning and going up all those steps. To be young. So glad all the kitties back home. Animals have a sense when people are good. Maybe all the rats will soon be gone. Blessings on the roof job. It is looking great. Yea! On your way. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
I'm extremely happy nothing happened to the kitties and that they got over their fear and decided to trust you. You are all so lucky. Thank goodness. And a huge congratulations on beginning the water mill rehab :)
wow!!! the sweeping, clearing out that main area and the roof removal was some major work and huge progress! congrats!!! happy for ye! and praying big time that both of you will not have any health issues after sweeping up all the animal dookie etc... 🙏🏼 continued blessings.🕊
So exciting. I am so happy you are finally able to start. The waiting time must have been tedious. You two make me smile everytime I watch you. Thank you so much.
You guys are smarter than not wearing masks. Im usually not someone to harp on this but good lord between bats, rats, dust for years t prime time to wear one
I look forward to Sundays just to catch up with you! I wish that I lived near, I would love to help you. I’m gathering a vision of what this will look like when it is done❤️! Stay safe stay healthy❤️. See you next Sunday!
Thank you so much 🥹 Many don’t realize what all we do on a daily basis, it truly means a lot to have you recognize and appreciate the energy and dedication it takes ❤️ Sweet souls like you help make it all so very worth it 💪✨
The amount of work you guys have already done is no small feat. Like Drew said, one task at a time. Before you know it you'll have the house of your dreams! Looking forward to seeing it.
That mill is going to make such an amazing home, I love watching all the progress and am so happy the kitties are home and adjusting to the new place, God Bless you all, one day I’ll be a patron but it’s tough as a caregiver and supporter of mom right now, but soon hopefully🙏❤️, you’re Alaskan friend and fan ❤
It's so interesting to see how people do things like this in other countries. It reminds me of Sara and Luca's house project. Good news about the kitty babes!
Please wear a mask when you sweep up that stuff Drew! I see Brittany is wearing one (Yay). Dust can't be good for your lungs! Also, in the US there are Hantavirus issues with rodent droppings. I am not sure if Hanta is an issue in Portugal. But If there is an issue it helps to spray lightly with water before sweeping which keeps the dust down significantly. So glad Momma kitty is ok too!
Spray some furniture spray on the bristle of the broom, it will hold down the dust clouds, just don't spray too much as you will be leaving some oil on the floor & you could slide. Just a few squirts now & then. Have you given thought to removing the stairs eventually & install concrete ramps. Not too steep, but it will be easier in moving objects from one level to another.
This brought some much needed joy into my heart today. I didn't think so much could be accomplished with your roof in one day. I am so excited for you both! I'm also relieved that your threesome of furbabies are back together again, too. I can't wait to see your progress in the next week! Sending you both my love, prayers and gentle hugs from Donna in Florida....
I love so much to be with you. You are such nice persons. Even the 3 cats felt it. I´m brazilian, but I lived in Portugal for 25 years. Now in Brazil again. Happy to be here. Your "portuguese" is improving and your accent is almost perfect . Congratulations ! Parabéns ! It would be easier for me to write in french !! already waiting for your next video.

I did the same. I live where hantavirus is a huge problem. First thing I did was research to see if it was in Portugal.
I was just about to comment the same. It’s no joke if you get that in your lungs.
Thanks for saying that I was having a heart attack as well and commented the same thing.
Totally agree. It is hard to remember when one is strong & healthy that it is not just proper food and exercise/yoga that will protect that glorious health! ❤
Yes! Rats pie and pup are infectiouse after many years. Also as dust. Not only with hunta, many other viruses...
So You have to work with PSA.
A must to protect your eyes, lungs, hearing and appendages. I’m a retired Environmental Occupational H&S Specialist. Your health is no joke, be prepared wear the appropriate PPE and stay safe everyone. Great progress, great experiences!
So true !! Please take care ! Rodent droppings can carry viruses.
Yes, yes, and YES!!!
Exactly! Who knows what’s in that toxic soup. Once you disturb it and inhale it, it can have some not so good health consequences.
Simply not worth the risk. You may not see the effects immediately, however down the road there’s no escaping the potential health complications.
Agree!!! I’m worried about your lungs etc!!! Who knows what you are inhaling or getting into your body! 🥹
Be careful with the dust it can cause huge health problems
As many have commented, please use high quality respirators - with replaceable filters - for sweeping, cutting/grinding stone or brick, dust, etc. Silicosis or infection is a real risk. NYTimes just reported young men with fatal disease who work cutting countertops, so sad.

So nice to see all 3 kitties 😻
Hint from my mum lol if you spray water down before sweeping it’ll stop the dust aflying 😊
I was just thinking why they didn't do that.
I can't believe they weren't wearing gloves and masks with all the rat and bat feces especially with her asthma issues@@xhogun8578
Yes, of course. That idea I've heard before. 👍
Totally agree get spray water stop dust so much better😊
Honestly, I found myself holding my breath with all the dust, "droppings and whatever" being swept into the air. Good masks and goggles should be a must. You did a fantastic job with all that work. So glad the kitty returned!
Great to see all the cats are there and looking settled.❤
Isn’t it just the best!! 😽😽😽
I'm so glad momma cat came 'home'! You'll love all three into your hearts.
Yes I'm glad 2 that Cat came back😮😅

This is huge. Thank you for taking us along...always impressed with your water mill progress and video production. Kitties back too! 🐱🐈⬛🐈
Thank you for your sweet words, the appreciation really does a lot for our ❤️’s. Sending you kitty snuggles from all 3 😽😽😽

Great recommendation! This is something we think is important to do as well.
Great job Agree about the masks - those fine particulates can really mess you up. But your work ethic and 'can do' spirit is great to watch. My husband and I love catching up with you guys each week and we are very happy that all 3 cats are now back together.
So glad the kitties came back. That was cool seeing the roof be disassembled like that and so orderly too. Super exciting!
I'm soooo happy Minoo (not sure of spelling) is back! I noted you feed the kitties at the camper. They are clearly loving the attention you give them. sprinkle water on the floor, before sweeping help the dust from spreading
Wow Brittany, you sure showed some muscles with those havy bags.
💪
I am so so happy that all 3 kittens are back with you ❤❤❤
I’m so impressed by how hard Brittany works. She is so tiny but a hard worker
How wonderful...starting on the home....happy you guys wore a mask, but you might need a more effective one. All that dust can't be great to inhale. I am excited for this next level of renovations.
Can’t wait to show you more 😘
All the working out you’ve made part of your routine has become functional fitness for you with that cleaning job!!
Wow! amazing how fast they removed the roof! Glad the kitties are all okay. I just love you guys!

I'm so glad to hear how you are thankful for what you have. I've almost stopped watching the vloggers that have so much and are always complaining.
Totally agree! This couple seems to make a great effort to count their blessings. Everything is not hyped as one step away from disaster. I enjoy these videos they produce very much!❤
I love the improvement! please add more windows! What I’ve learnt is the more natural light there is the better it is🎉
Hours of back breaking work. You two are amazing. 🌟
Glad that all your kitties know where home is now!
So fun to see construction of your home begin and so delighted kitty #3 found her way back and is accepting pets from you! A true blessing!
Love your project. it is going to beautiful. be careful around rat droppings. try not to breath it in. be safe
It’s truly a beautiful place and we feel so lucky to be working on it. 💚

So glad all the kitties are back together! Yay! 🐈 🐈⬛ 🐱 🎉
They are a wonderful trio that is so entertaining 😻
❤❤❤ so happy all the kitties are home safe!!!
They are a great addition to our family ❤️
That giant basket is amazing! Hope you cleaned it & kept it for decor ❤

I admire your courage. So much work to be done but you are young. You´re going to make it! Congratulations!
A tip, when brushing cement floor, spray light water and no dust will be formed and is much easier to brush ❤
I didn't expect mama cat to show up. What a surprise! So happy that all your kitties are finally accounted for. So, sweet! Perhaps you could use the old beams and support pillars from the old roof to build a pergola near the beach. That way you would still be able to keep the memories alive from the original water mill.
Beautiful idea ❤️✨
I see another subscriber suggested keeping those tree beams and use for a patio/porch. Great job u guys🇨🇦❤
That large basket could be washed, dried and made into an indoor cat bed for the cold season....the kitties can all snuggle together ❤
You are certainly getting a lot done, congratulations. you are doing an iamazing job. I got tired of seeing you guys working so hard. Brittany, tu és fantastica!
Haha 😂 we work hard everyday no matter what we are doing. 😘

Wooooow! They did that quick! So excited to get started on the water mill. Can't wait to see what you guys do with it.❤ from Oklahoma

@@pamelar5868 thank you so much, God Bless you 🙏❤️
Very interesting and impressive and moving forward. God bless you both and the kitties.
It's so interesting to see how people do things like this in other countries. It reminds me of Sara and Luca's house project. Good news about the kitty babes!
Looking forward to seeing what's to come.
Great the Mama Cat came back.
I am a basket freak and the giant 🧺 im over here swooning LOL ❤❤ and....the bed frame ❤
Wow you guys are such hard workers and make an awesome team 😊 can't wait for roof to be done 👏👏 so glad Mama kitty is back ❤
Spray some furniture spray on the bristle of the broom, it will hold down the dust clouds, just don't spray too much as you will be leaving some oil on the floor & you could slide. Just a few squirts now & then.
Have you given thought to removing the stairs eventually & install concrete ramps. Not too steep, but it will be easier in moving objects from one level to another.
So excited for you both👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💐💐 and mama cats 🐈 back 👏🏽👏🏽
I love how positive your vlogs are.
Brittany, you rock! Even at your age my back would have been killing me with all of those bags up the walkway! 🥇
High guys! Looking forward to this one! ❤
So happy your kitty came back 💓 thats was alot of work guys cleaning . 😊
That is a ton of hard work. Nice job guys.. Congrats on the successful rehoming of the cats.
Hey you two! scoop up dirt with dust pan as much as possible, then sweep. it will put less dust in air.
That’s exactly what we tried to do here. Happy to have a clean space now.
Amazing what the mill looks like cleaned up, alot of work but will be beautiful! Glad the kitties are doing well. Much love Brittany and Drew 😊❤🤗
We appreciate your sweet words and love that you are connected and watching our show 😍
That Hornets nest would make an interesting art object. Either dipped in Shellac or incase in Resin. It could look fantastic. Art in Calif USA
