I’ve just upgraded mine to a single driveshaft and used Driveshaft of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Spoke to Ryan there and they are a top notch quality and service com. This company will make a new driveshaft for you and it’s complete painted ready to install. My truck is stock ride height and only needed the slip yoke which was installed at transfer case side. Mine at the time was under $500 for a install ready driveshaft. Just remove old driveshaft and support bearing bracket and bolt in new one. Another person used them two years ago and because he has a lift on his he has a cradan yoke at transfer case and a slip yoke at differential. His video is why I used DOT. I called my local driveshaft company and they wouldn’t modify my two piece and wanted over $1,000 to make one.
With the front Driveshaft. Did you have to index and clock it in addition to buying or making a longer shaft?? I just purchased 10" stryker but didn't buy the kit, I pieced it out for what I needed since I'm already at 8" Zone lift. Haven't decided what to do for the front yet? Any ideas that are budget friendly? Thanks
Hey brother, who did you use to make the shaft? I have a 03 250 and the driveshaft is flange to flange. I need one ASAP. All help would be appreciated.
I am honestly not sure why they do it. A lot of trucks come with a single piece from the factory. I know on the longer wheel base trucks sometimes they do the 2 piece cause your not supposed to do a 2 piece over 74” long. So the longer trucks have 2 piece driveshafts for that reason. But normal wheel base trucks you’d think they’d do single piece from the factory!
I’m from the North west part of Florida around Panama City Beach. Every driveshaft shop I have called refuses to do it. Some say that it can’t be done…. Disappointing for sure!

I have an 02 F350 7.3 two wheel drive crew cab long bed (172 in wheel base) i wonder if anyone has upgraded to the one piece 🤔
Did you have to change the rear pinion angle at all to install this single piece driveshaft?
@@Variablecheeseless yes I did sir you want pinion angle to match trans angle within 1-3 degrees is what’s recommended.
Do you have IG?
Power coat paint it
Love your suspension and the drive shaft is nice replacing mine this coming week with a solid unit.
Thanks !!!
Thanks

Did this upgrade a while back. Definitely worth the swap.👍
haha should have seen this video last week , just put a new carrier bearing and spacer on mine
Why spend $$ on swapping out the carrier bearing? What is wrong with it? How does this impact me towing heavy loads? I have 13000 lbs 5th Wheel...
one less piece of the driveline to go wrong. no more vibration from driveshaft. just better all around.
I have the same truck you have.. what's the length so I can order one
Polish would look sweet!

10”+ you need to index it. Buy everything you need from pmfsuspension
Do something like the insane pearl bomb from dip your car... then maybe black lights to set it off?

Why do they use a 2 peace shaft from the factory? Wouldn't it be cheaper to manufacture a single piece shaft?
