In my opinion, the best xmas presents are ones that make people feel good - giant coffee mugs, blankets, super soft clothing/socks... because no one is ever disappointed with something that makes them feel nice - and they'll use them repeatedly and always associate it with feeling nice. Especially blankets. who doesn't love a blanket? That thing will be around for decades.
Heated blankets! Nothing like coming in from the cold to a warm blanket. So nice.

I agree with what you’re saying, but I just personally wouldn’t be thrilled to receive a blanket, just because I have a lot of blankets and don’t really have room for another. It would kind of be a “Oh yaaay, thank you…..(where am I gonna put this thing?)” kind of reaction from me 😂

Holiday mood here. Snacks stocked, movies piled up, tree up, roast thawing, presents under the tree and everywhere else, credit cards put out a restraining order on me and my wallet is in the corner shaking with PTSD. Going to be a sucky January when the bills come, but ending this crap year with a bang!
It's so weird with the snow When I was a child here in Germany we also had snow every year, made snowmen, fought Schneeballschlachten, went on frozen lakes and did so much more fun stuff.
The pure joy that kid experienced is why I love Christmas/Halloween, It’s not about me or the other adults it’s about making sure the kids have fun

I absolutely hate Christmas; I try not to, cause I really wish I could enjoy it like others but growing up the way I did..just without any love around me and Christmas being just another day for 20 years..it hard lol. Then not being able to find a job to properly enjoy the decor & gifting to others..ugh lol. Anyways
My point is. regardless of all tht sad shit, seeing gabs’ being so happy and giddy about the holidays makes ME so happy 😭 I love it sm lol.

When you said that you missed snow, I kind of feel you there. I live in Michigan in the U.S and it's been wonky here lately, during the winter. We might get dusted, but then lose anything we get, because of 50 degree (Farenheit) days. Normally, during December, we are in -10 or lower degrees plus lower because of wind chill and losing the race of shoveling out all the snow. We haven't done that in December in years, it's waited until the end of January, beginning of February. I miss my white Christmases so much, just call me insane, but it's not right without snow.

The water going up: You have a flask (in this case a round bottom flask, with a tube in it.
The flask is sealed at the top, aside from this tube.
At least enough water is added to more than cover any space between the tube and the bottom of the flask. You put the cup on top, which presumably has a hole in it that interlocks with the tube. You then heat up the whole contraption.
At a certain point, the pressure from the water vapor starts forcing the water to move. The only place it then has to go is up the tube and into that cup. Presumably, if there is a filter either on the bottom of the glass or the top of the tube, you would ultimately either drink it out of the tube or pour it into another vessel for drinking

I really wasn’t in the Christmas mood because it’s 70°F (21°C) and it is nowhere near snowing. My house is being renovated and I got my wisdom teeth out yesterday. There is no Christmas spirit in my atmosphere at all! I really needed this video. I’m finally feeling it! I’m ready to have a cozy Christmas! Thank you!
We had a big, sudden snowstorm here in Denmark on Dec. 1. It was so bad that even with all the snowplows in use, many of the roads were blocked by trucks, busses and cars. We sat on a stretch of highway that ususally takes about 20 minutes to drive - it took us 3 hours. Then 2-3 days later, all the snow was gone o.O

Christmas where I am now, is almost always green (it has nothing to do with global warming, it has always been that way). This area just doesn't get as much snow as 30 minutes outside the city. Sucks. I miss white Christmases.
