      It’s the smugness that he speaks about Coach Prime that bothers most. He speaks as if HE been there done that as a coach when he hasn’t accomplished shit in college football to move the game forward or help push forward any of the young men who have played college football but will speak as if he is Nick Saban which he don’t like him either smh. He is just a straight up hater on greatness but likes to take up for ignorant racist country singers which shows his true colors and why he speaks with the negative tone that he does. If a man gets to this point and had this much success as a coach don’t think you can question if he can coach or not.

      They don’t respect our intellect nor ability to lead. They just find ways to sugarcoat it. But when bf say we have to work harder for the same opportunity they roll their eyes as if it’s not our reality. What did Dan Lanning do to deserve Oregon hc? With a losing record jedd fisch got handed the Washington Huskies job. I don’t recall any media backlash. The same media that calls kalen deboer a winner for what he did at division 2 Sioux Falls, won’t give the same credit to Deion sanders for what he did at division 1 JSU. Deion won because he had the best talent. As opposed to those W coaches that win with no talent 🤔 🙄

    I agree with Dan. Deion is still learning how to be a Power 5 coach. Obviously, he has tremendous football knowledge, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he can be successful at the power five level. There’s all kinds of political land mines he needs to learn. don’t you think Saban was a better coach at the end then he was at his very first coaching job? Deion has a lot to learn and I think he will ultimately become a very good coach, but not in too short ears of coaching at this level. No way. But, that’s why Boulder makes so much sense. Due to their irrelevancy for so long, and the fact that he brings money to the college, they’re going to give him a lot of room to maneuver. As long as the status quo doesn’t change at CU, I think he’s gonna stay put. I don’t think he would chase the USC job even if it was offered to him.

    Even if Deion wins 8 or 9 games USC can’t risk that hire. He’s not proven enough. Even if they did hire him they would keep him on a tight leash, something Deion wouldn’t tolerate. I think one thing Deion loves about CU is the freedom to do nearly whatever he wants. The downside to the major schools like USC is all the obligations and expectations he would have put on him. Why would he leave CU and the Big 12 To go to the Big 10 or SEC?? Prestige?? Recruiting?? Let’s see what happens to his recruiting if they win 9 games.

  • @stevearnott7753
    @stevearnott7753 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I’m a CU and Prime fan, but that’s a fair question by DP. Personally, I think he “can” be a very good coach. But despite all of his knowledge, he has only 1 year of FBS experience. It’s gonna take time. Long after his kids are gone. But that’s why he ain’t goin to one of the coveted FL or Tx schools. No one will hire him with that resume. They don’t need the money and relevance he brings. They need wins and wins are not a lock with him. Not yet anyway.

    I love Deion Sanders, and I am definitely pulling for Colorado this year. That said, if you ever were to move on to someplace else like a lot of these idiots are saying, he hast to show that he can coach at the power four level. And even if he could, what programs would he want to go to? Not just any program. It would have to be one of the power programs in Texas or Florida or something comparable. Are those programs gonna want him? Is he going to want a coach there knowing the type of responsibilities and expectations that would be placed on him? Things like kissing ass to boosters or not going out on physical recruiting trips. he has all the control in the world with very little expectations at Boulder. He’s bringing the school money that they’ve never seen before along with the town. He’s not 40 years old looking for the next step. Dude wants to coach and he wants to win. I don’t think he’s convinced yet that he can’t do it in Boulder. And if he can, it’s probably more gratifying that he built a program up himself instead of inheriting a blueblood program with high expectations built-in. Honestly, if he can show that he can win in Boulder, I don’t think he leaves. I think he basically retires there after a few short years. Even though the man told Klatt that he’s good for 10 years. We’ll see!

    USC has been mediocre for 20 years, they can wait till Riley's contract is over. If Riley continues USC's mediocre path its ok. They can wait it out and then move on again to Deion. When it comes to X and O's Deion is not very good and Riley can run circles around him. When it comes to motivation, Deion is good but both are horrible recruiters.

      USC risks a Nebraska mistake. Good chance USC finishes between 4th and 7th in the BIG with 5th a great year one accomplishment especially if UCLA 12th or worse and wins v WA and UCLA. What B1G school would take advice from Mr. SEC? Riley likely most interested in finishing better in B1G than OK in SEC - and not getting crushed like NE did on entry to B1G. Deion to FL - despite FSU - FL likely needs a high risk hire to avoid being in the bottom half of SEC - pros know loyalty barely lasts one contract.

Now will he(Deion) keep coaching after his sons leave is a question everyone will have to ask. Of coarse he won't come out and say it because that will kill his season before it gets started. I believe(just my opinion) he is done after this year. I believe don't think he will stay in Colorado after this year. He knows he can't get who he needs to seriously contend for championships in Colorado. All the kids are going to Oregon, USC, Texas, or staying east of the Mississippi River

    Finebaum is just making shit up. Deion has complete control at Colorado. The AD, Chancellor, and community love him. If he goes to USC or an upper-echelon SEC school, he will have a bunch of people telling him what to do. Deion has health problems. He doesn't need any additional stress in his life. He can eventually dominate the B12 and end up in the playoffs. Dominating at USC in the B10 will be a lot harder. If Lincoln Riley couldn't win there, then why would Deion want to go there. He can win 8-9 games at CU and he'll be a hero. IF he wins 8-9 games at USC, he's on the hot-seat and fired. Who needs that. I also think a major B10 or SEC team would want a piece of his branding. He's not going to give that up. I don't think he's going to USC. IdK how long he'll be at CU, but I don't see him jumping into a fire either.

    This is the most common sense thing i've heard about Coach Sub Prime: "I Wanna See If Deion Can Coach." There is no evidence of it yet and no credible analyst has ever pointed to his specific COACHING skill set. The depth of analysis is "Prime attracts talent". Fair enough, but he attracts players because of his NFL player fame, NOT his coaching skills, which is the exact opposite of virtually all other top coaches, who are actually accomplished coaches. In his first year as the Buffalo's coach, Prime won 4 games compared to the team's previous years' 1-win record. This seems impressive until you realise that the year before that, Colorado also won 4 games. In fact, since 2015, Colorado have averaged over 5 wins a season. So far, all we know is that Deion is a good recruiter.

    Tool boy he’s already shown he can coach. The comparable is Jed Fisch at Arizona. Jed took over a Wildcat team that lost 12 straight over the course of two seasons. He went 1-11, 5-7, 10-2. Jed was praised throughout the process. Deion took over a really bad 1-11 Buffs. They averaged losing by 22 points per game. His first season he went 4-8 in a very good PAC12 (championship runner up, team that only has two losses to said champ runner up). Deion has gotten better with December portal, better with Spring portal and picked up 8 great high school players, 1 of them being the highest rated offensive lineman. The Buffs will enter the Big12 so it’s not a totally fair comparison, but Vegas has the line at 5.5 games for season 2 which would be outpacing Fisch in season two. My prediction is Buffs win 7. Why are people questioning if Deion can coach. jedd was being praised entering season 2. Rooting for the Buffs most interesting team in college football

    Foul Fine’Bum is on the same level as the other clowns (SAS, Drip Payless, Fad Dog, etc) but just older. None of them played, just mouthpieces that have to say outrageous bs to get views. It’s why I don’t watch any of these ESPN shows. Basura
    Sanders is in the best possible program for his brand, he’s a king like Saban in Boulder. SC would never let him be Prime, there’s too much disorganization behind the scenes & they’d never let him do the things he wants to do, which is reality show Prime. Deion can only be at a school where he not only has ultimate control but where he’s actually bigger than the program and the city. He’d be irrelevant in a large market, pro teams are always more important than the college teams. Sanders needs another 2 years before you can really tell if his style of building works or not.

He proved himself at Jackson State and his first year was the same as last year with Colorado. His second and 3rd year he won the division. The guy wouldn’t be at Colorado if he couldn’t coach. Why does he have to keep proving to white people he belongs? Always being negative about the man and his methods like he needs approval.
