Unfortunate that your packages didn’t show up on time, and that you’ve got to finish in gear you don’t prefer. But, great example of adapting and overcoming obstacles. You get new gear to review! Also, I’ve been hiking in the Altra Olympus shoes for a while and love them. Finish strong. Finish well. It’s been a joy to tag along.

I love my Altra Olympus’s! The grip they have with the Vibram sole is amazing. You’re going to love how plush they are! It’s the only shoe that I’ll use for trail running.
Wow, Shaw’s has changed. It was like a big boarding house in the late 1980’s. And Keith Shaw, God rest his soul, still presided over the kitchen. He was Down Maine funny and very dedicated to his hosting of hikers. But old school impatient of put-on airs and entitlement (and yeah, that was also a thing then!) I can see where the new folk running it have upgraded. Good to see you there! Lol, I still have a T-shirt I bought at the General Store in Monson. Good hiking, brother. The 100 mile wilderness is really not so wild compared to parts of Georgia. But beautiful, with loons and moose in the ponds and rivers.🫎
Can’t believe that you are about to finish up! I have enjoyed following you so very much on your hike! I love how down to earth that you are ! I feel like you are an extended family member! I have always been a section AT hiker in my area, and I was able to finish my virtual hike through you, and I humbly thank you for this opportunity! What a shame that your loaner pack didn’t make it, but hey! There was a reason things like this happen! …keep pushing those final miles..Hike on!

There are always last minute "foul ups" to challenge our plans, aren't there. You are staying positive and just making changes and continuing to press on. Good for you!! I am sure sometimes you might feel a bit envious of Leo as all he has to do is hike and enjoy the trail..no troubles or decisions! Ha ha!😂 Since these videos are delayed you are either very close to or have already summitted Kahtadin. Either way I am so stinkin' excited and happy for you and Leo, and I look forward to the remaining videos.

You all are doing amazing! I have encountered the same issues with HL and switched to ULA in ULTRA fabrics. Made in the USA, second to none customer service, and their seemwork is amazing. I didn't want to impose my personal opinion on packs since you were so happy with your HL despite the failures.

I know you have been a fan of the Pursuits. I’m not sure about the zero drop. I weigh about 205 and would like a little more cushion. So I was thinking about the Terra venture 4. I know you went through a pair of them. I don’t remember your review or comments on them when you wore them. Anyways I was curious if you had plans for that. Thanks
