We appreciate every single one of you wonderful souls!
The actual official short film of 'Librarian Girl' had literally every famous person of the 80s improvising to camera. His influence was massive. Please react to MJ 'Human Nature 1988 Wembley' I'm sure you'll both have your minds blown at MJ and his stage presence.
The video is a star-studded extravaganza! I love "Human Nature"! That song has a feeling of pure magic (I uses that phrase too much now with MJ songs haha), but, to see a live performance of it?! I can't wait! Thank you!
This man vocals are unmatched truly The Greatest Vocalist Of All Time! Not only cause he sung from his soul but his versatility he never sounded the same on every song and MJ is quoted during a interview back when he was a child saying “I Don’t Sing It If I Don’t Mean It” which is so true. “Liberian Girl” ~ showcases MJ’s abilities as a storyteller, the song focuses on setting a mood, relying on African beats and tribal drums to transport listeners to another continent. The song even opens with a Swahili chant (although the primary language of Liberia is English, and Swahili is not spoken in that part of Africa) that roughly translated means “I love you too, I want you too, my love.” It is an overwhelmingly positive message from a man who only wanted to bring a few more smiles into the world. And Liberia🇱🇷 woman are very beautiful dark skinned woman MJ always honored the true essence of beauty from cultures and left some things open for interpretation) You can absolutely tell when Michael Jackson is singing it’s not from a place of thinking so much on how he’s gonna sing it,it comes from a place of true divine & passion, love, devotion, soulfulness, and just pure joy and certainty he’s not coming from a place where he’s tryna be overly technical with his singing or forcefulness his singing is completely natural and he’s very in tune of his emotions you can feel that in your heart and soul whenever he sings Long Live The Greatest Music Artist To Ever Live The King Of Music Forever!🙌🏽👑❤️💕🌟(Please React to Michael Jackson “Remember The Time” Music Video & “Who Is It” Audio both songs are about Diana Ross Liberian Girl isn’t about her unfortunately that was just a rumor although they did go on vacations together etc. that’s true but speaking on MJ & Diana The love that Michael had for Diana is so clear to see that was his childhood crush and he 1000% wanted to marry her the age gape is probably what Diana feared the media would make fun of etc. but tbh love is ageless MJ was in love with her since he was a child even stayed with her after they moved from Gary Indiana, such a beautiful love they had between each other,Diana such a beautiful woman who loved Michael in her own way, beautiful Michael a truly magnificent man and a true King in every sense of the word, truly great humanitarian with a soul full of love, light and peace, loved eternally I miss MJ and I surely know Diana misses him the thing was MJ was involved with a bunch of woman he loved woman who were classy like Diana Ross,Elizabeth Taylor,Brook Shields,Lisa Marie Presley,Sophia Loren,Stephanie Mills etc. MJ was a true gentleman and that showed with the woman he associated himself with at any Era of his career/personal life weather lovers or friends with them and speaking further upon on the record “Liberian Girl” this song was finished in 3-4 Hours when it was created via John Barnes from Spike Lee’s “BAD 25 Documentary”, God Rest His Soul he recently just passed John was Co-Producer,Arranger and Musician for MJ from 1983 - 1989, and from 2004 - 2007 he said that song just came and MJ wrote this song all the way during the Thriller Era he mentions it during his 1983 Unauthorized Interview, and MJ said he wrote it while he was playing sum pinball via Ebony Jet 1987 Interview lol what a slight flex for creating such a masterpiece of a song, also the fact this song came out in the 80’s yet it was so innovative and sounds so fresh till this day goes to show you how timeless MJ’s discography truly is.)
This song embodies what true harmony, melody, ecstasy and tranquility is. This song/piece of art takes you away to a different place. A more peaceful and fairytale-esque world. I can't get over this song! Yeah, I wasn't sure if this song was about Diana Ross. I mean, it's never been confirmed that this song is about or isn't. But, after doing a lot of reading behind this song (surprisingly there's not a lot of direct information about this song), it was heavily implied by as lot of people who were close to MJ that he was inspired by the love he had for Diana Ross when cultivating this masterpiece. One of them being from his bodyguard at the time who was accompanying both Diana Ross and MJ in Liberia during one of their getaways. I wanna believe that MJ was so entranced by the beauty of the dark skinned beautiful women in Liberia and in turn that sowed the seeds of this song and maybe he was thinking of Diana Ross at the time? But, I guess we'll never truly know. And I feel it's better that way. If it was about Diana Ross, I think MJ would've wanted this song and the true meaning behind it to be kept a secret between them. Either way, this song is absolutely one of MJ's greatest achievements. I've notices that as well. MJ was such a gentlemen and a such a real man towards women. I don't think sex was on his mind when it came to his love for women. I think he just enjoyed the real and genuine beauty of women. He adored the grace and wonderment of women. The way MJ views love is so blissful and so warm. So clean and it's so full of real magic. And I can't wait to get to "Who Is It". My #1 favorite song of his! That "Bad 25th" anniversary sounds amazing! Maybe we'll react to that when we enter the "Bad" era soon! Thanks for the heads-up! And thank you for your well-thought out and meaningful comments. You are such a blessing on this channel! We hope you always stick with us!
@@honey.brown.popcultered I love you two this channel has been a blessing in my life to finally have a channel I can go to that I know who’ll give MJ the proper deserving reaction made with care, compassion, pure emotion and joy between you two and I agree you should def React to the Documentaries from each album before you enter them atleast ones that are available for that Era like Spike Lee’s “BAD 25” & “Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off The Wall” Documentary’s,The Detail’s Dangerous 30 and React to Michael Jackson’s 1988 Theatrical Film “Moonwalker”✍🏽👑✨🎯💯
@@Milkers777 Honestly, that means so much to us! It's almost like a stamp of approval from someone credible! Both my wife and I absolutely love hearing from you. Thank you for always dropping the knowledge and correcting us in a respectful and positive way! I've always had such a massive amount of respect for MJ. And have followed his career my entire life. But, I've learned so much from you since we've started doing these MJ reaction videos. Thank you! We'll definitely check those videos out before we head into each era of MJ. Just curious, though. I'm looking for a proper documentary on the "making of" the "HIStory" and "Invincible" album. Any suggestions? Thank you again!
@@honey.brown.popcultered There’s actually no particular Documentaries for HIStory or Invincible Era’s but I would recommend “Michael Jackson Full Audio 2001 Invincible Interview” It’s 57 Minutes and 37 second interview of MJ going in depth on the creative process of the album etc. and it’s just great to hear MJ in great spirits during that Era also I’d recommend Michael Jackson’s Invincible Autograph Signing during that time it’s about a hour long as well it’s interesting to see the hype around that time and Moonwalkers/Soldiers Of Love going crazy crying their eyes out and MJ lowkey flirting/being a ladies man etc. & for HIStory I’d just watch the HIStory Teaser which is phenomenal but at the time got ridiculed and took out of context it’ll be an amazing Reaction to culminate the start to that Era
A lot of people have that problem when you grow up listening to Michael at a young age. You tend to get gravitated to his big flashy hits and don't even realize his back catalogue is just as masterful. I can understand why you wouldn't like this song as a kid, its a very mature and intimate song, and you just don't have those emotions developed when you are a kid. This song is one of my favorites from MJ as well and it grew on me when i got older as well, its just such a beautiful track.
Completely agree! As I'm getting older, I'm starting to listen to Michael in a whole new perspective. And this song... you hit the nail right on the head. This is a very mature and intimate song indeed. I'm glad I'm starting to appreciate a masterpiece such as this at a more wiser POV. Thank you so much for your comment!
Right there in my top 3 songs. Doesn't sound like the 80's at all, it sounds timeless. I have the same experience of getting in trance listening to this song in repeat and never getting tired. The music is timeless, sensual and so is Michael's smooth voice. Bruce Swedien the music engineer described it best with the words "Sonic fantasy". Love your reaction.
The BAD Album is a Masterpiece! I got the red BAD Logo tatted on as well as the invincible album cover writing and his Autograph! Definitely going to get all of his albums tatted on but BAD is pretty underrated but at the same time it’s not that underrated. They snubbed MJ and BAD didn’t win a single Grammy. They never wanted to see him win again after he won 8 Grammys in one night for thriller. Enjoyed this reaction so much! Tupac also sampled this Song and Michael layered his voice for the chorus which sounds like HEAVEN! He also came up with it in his Gaming Room when the lyrics just popped into his head and he ran upstairs to get his tape recorder to record it! Can’t wait for the next mj reactions, especially live performances from Yokohama 87! 😍 I also love to new setup and the shirts!!
Absolutely fell in love with this song. I can't believe it took me my entire life to give this song a chance. I feel so shameful! This is one of MJ's most unique and profound songs ever! I do agree that it may not be 100% about Diana Ross. But, I did hear from past interviews from people around him that after him and Diana Ross went to Liberia together, MJ fell in love with the beautiful women of Liberia. And at the time was absolutely in love with Diana Ross. So, a lot people around MJ were saying that they think his love for Diana Ross helped inspire the essence of this song. But, we'll never truly know. But, the fact that he wrote this song while playing in his gaming room is absolutely remarkable! I love it! And I agree, "Bad" is absolutely underrated in a non-underrated way! After listening to "Off the Wall" and "Thriller", "Bad" has such a different and unique sound. The songs on that album are extraordinary and so bad ass! The songs on this album have such a different vibe and personality compared to a lot of his discography. I can't believe they snubbed this album. That's when the jealousy of the entertainment industry truly was revealed. "Bad" is seriously one of my favorite albums! I'm falling in love with this album all over again! Love hearing from you! Thank you for always supporting us! We appreciate you so much!
The Liberian Girl Music Video is literally a MUSIC VIDEO. "A video with music" it only gives you something visual while listening to the song. But the Vocals on this one are SOOO... GOOD.... MAN!!
Love it! You're right! When you're listening to his songs without a visual aid, somehow you can still imagine in your mind a story being told. It's insane! MJ's music is just above and beyond
Thank you so much! We're both so happy that you found us as well! This is a true MJ community now. And I'm also rediscovering MJ as well. And I'm so happy that I can experience MJ all over again with people like you and my wife! We're in heaven right now! Thank you for your comment 🙏 😊
This song is very special to me It's just very calming. Very sweet. I used to put it on repeat before going to sleep, it just makes me feel good and happy when listening to it. It's like meditating. Don't ever worry of your reactions being cringy or anything like that. There are nothing but beautiful. That's why we are here. That's why so many people connected to you cause we can see your emotions are raw, your love for Michael is real and that's why we fell in love with this channel. I am so excited for what's to come. I want you guys to see so many things. There is so much. Some amazing short films (Ghosts, Thriller, Smooth Criminal, Remember the time etc.), amazing live performances on tours (Man in the mirror in 92 Bucharest, Billie Jean on all tours, Smooth Criminal, Thriller, Beat it, Dirty Diana, Human Nature, I Just Can't Stop Loving You, They don't care about us etc.) some amazing performances on awards show (1991 MTV 10th aniversary with Black or White and Will you be there, Michael Jackson - MTV Music Awards 1995 - where he performs multiple songs, his SuperBowl 1993 performance, his Earth Song performance on World Music Awards 1996, Bill Clinton's gala where he performs Gone Too Soon and Heal the World). some great documentaries (Loving Neverland), songs/albums you haven't heard yet. I for sure forgot some iconic ones. I honestly think a month won't be enough for his live performances. 'Again, love your reactions, really do.. and can't wait for more.
You are always so kind and amazing towards us! We appreciate you so much! Thank you! I feel you on this song! It is so hypnotizing and mesmerizing. You can get lost in this song... in a good way. The beat and his voice is so soothing. It's so smooth. Everything about this song is pure... purity! I can't believe it took me so long to fall in love with this song! But, now it's in my top 5 favorite MJ songs of all-time! True! We'll have to randomly start reacting to his live performances ontop of the studio versions! Well, that means more MJ reactions! For a long time! Thank you again for your constant support with our channel!
Awww, thank you so much! That's so nice of you. We truly appreciate your comments lately. We're so happy that you're subscribed to us and our coming along with us on this journey!
This song is on a loooong list of the ''mannn, I wish MJ would've done this song live'' list. I also sound like a broken record at this point, but this song is amazing. And as much as I love an album like Invincible, something like the Bad album just has something next level about it, an absolute masterpiece. All of MJ albums are 10/10s to me, but both Bad and Dangerous are always the 2 albums that come to mind as being my personal favs and I never can decide between them as who is my fav. I just can't wait for you guys to react to more from this album in the future, it's amazing how many back to back huge songs are on this album. But even the ''smaller'' songs on it like 'Just Good Friends' and Speed Demon are absolutely amazing. Actually, those two songs are the once I listen to most. Especially Speed Demon is awesome and criminally underrated imo and is also a song I wished MJ would've performed live. Good choice on going with the audio only version of this song and not the music video. As much as I love that video, they talk trough that whole song and the song itself is used more as almost background music for the video. So for a first time listener, you can't even hear the song that well. I love the music vid for Speed Demon, but they do the same thing in that video, where they have so many sounds going on. So if you're ever going to react to that song, that might be something to be aware off. But that vid is crazy fun though. And I love the new MJ stuff in the background and T-shirts! It's insane how fast you 2, the videos themselves and this channel has grown in such a short time. There is soooooo much MJ out there, I can't wait for the rest of the journey, you ain't seen nothing yet. 😉 Also, I have a glitch with TH-cam atm, because for some reason I can't reply to comments anymore. So I just wanted to say that I completely agreed with your last reply about those albums post MJ's passing and that Michael (2010) indeed has some good song on it. That mostly has to do with they're pretty much untouched compared to what they did with Xscape. But, when you listen to the demo's from Michael (2010), you still hear that MJ demos are faaar better (most of those demos are Invincible outtakes). Another Day is also a song from that album that comes to mind as being good. And lastly, I absolutely love how Honey is slowly transforming into a full on MJ fan and is geeking out more and more over his songs. We are witnessing the MJ effect in real time, something we've all went through as MJ fans once in our lives. Once you guys reach his live shows in the future, then that's it. After seeing that, there is no way of going back to being a none fan. 😅
Completely agree. Something about this "Bad" album just stands out. You can hear MJ come out of his shell even more on this album. And bruh... this song here! I can't believe that I never truly appreciated it while growing up. But, now... good God! This song is in a whole other level. And "Dangerous" is an absolute beast and masterpiece of an album. And I can't wait until we embark on that release! Also, for the video I agree as well. It's a good video for "Liberian Girl", but it doesn't give the song its true meaning. I wish MJ did a proper music video for this song. It would have been so beautiful and so fairytale-esque. If MJ ever performed this song live... that would have been such a beautiful and out of this world performance. Can you imagine him singing this live? It would definitely break some souls! Haha! Thank you so much for the compliment with our new MJ stuff! We'll definitely be adding more to the background soon. But, it's time to show some true respect to MJ by showcasing him everywhere now! That "Michael" album was decent. Had some good tunes on it. But, I just can't get into any of the songs from anything posthumous from MJ. Oh man! I've noticed that as well with her. It's so amazing what MJ can do to people. Especially someone who hasn't had much experience with MJ. Now... that's all she listens to and dances to! And even her confidence is way up! MJ... still helping people! I love the journey that we all started here with MJ! Love the community and love interacting. That's the true nature of MJ! His music had truly brought together all of us! Thank you again for always supporting us! You being such great energy and conversation to this channel. We appreciate you so much! 😎💯💫✌️
Honey & Brown💖🙌🏾 Thank you so much for this channel and an MJ Forum bcuz after MJ died, I had a very hard time hearing his songs bc it physically hurt my heart that he is gone and I couldn’t accept MJ is gone 4ever. Now I feel one with all MJ’s fans….each and every one of you and ur supporting and beautiful comments has given me the courage to listen to MJ sooo much more now. I don’t feel alone as an MJ FAN. God bless you, Honey & Brown. Luv the MJ displays and very appropriate MJ t-shirts. 100% Perfect Now🤩🙌🏾🤙🏿🤛🏾🌈💝💖
Glad to hear I'm not the only one who had/ still has a hard time hearing his music.. I still break down to some of his songs especially Man in Mirror and For all Time😅😪
Wow! Thank you so much! It means so much to the both of us that there is a place for the MJ community to come together and listen to MJ! And share their beautiful memories with us. This will always be a place for all of us! A place where we all can sing, vibe and dance to MJ without any judgment. Also, just feel you on listening to MJ as well. It was hard for awhile to listen to his music after he passed away. I felt a piece of my childhood was gone forever. But, now with this channel and this wonderful community, I feel that nostalgic and happy feeling flooding back! Thank you so much for your beautiful comment! We appreciate you so much! 💯✌️
intresting fact during a interview with michael jackson he mentions that in his house in encino ca he was in the game room playing some pinball and the lyrics and melody to liberian girl came too him at that moment!!! a few yrs later it was included as 1 of the track's on the bad album! thats crazy right i mean who else can write a song like that this man's talents and abilities had no limits! its crazy because the song was released in 87 but it still grooves and moves and soothes like a song that was just released this yr i mean the music michael created just lives on and on and always stays relevant and sounds just as awesome today as when it was first released!
That just shows how talented this man is! That he can create such a one of a kind song and timeless work of art in the spur of the moment! The mere fact that this song was made in the 80's, yet sounds so unique and can fit in any era truly baffles me! How?! How does he do it?! He captured true beauty and true harmony with this song! MJ is truly otherworldly! Thank you so much for your comment 😊
It's crazy to me that you didn't like this song as a child because even as a child this was one of my favorite songs from this album. Even then, I appreciated all the intricacies of the composition, the xylophone and instrumentation, the amazing arrangement and layering of his vocals for all the backgrounds and the beauty of his voice, as well as the overall vibe and subject matter. You should do the video too! I was looking forward to her reaction to it!
I know! I feel so ashamed haha. My adolescent mind couldn't handle it?! Now though, this is in my top 5 favorite songs by him. This song is like listening to a fairytale. This is true magic. His voice and harmony is pure bliss and absolute perfection. I can't believe it took me so long to appreciate this piece of art...
I can relate to her whenever I'm listening to this song, the 'kilig' to the bone haha. Please react to remember the time with the long version music video it's also about diana.
We both lose our minds when listening to MJ! The joy and excitement cannot be contained! Definitely will get to the "Dangerous" album very soon! My favorite album of his! And "Remember the Time" is an absolute amazing song! And the music video is so awesome!
Hi honey & brown - NERD REALM. Oh my goodness thank you so much for skipping back to Bad era. I loved this song so much when it came out - it was not really promoted much on the radio stations. I watch the music video but in the video you don't really get to hear the music and MJ singing. Its has such a awesome exotic feel... Michael said in an interview I remember that he got the idea of the song while playing video games. :-) :-) I always thought too Diana was his Liberian Girl so totally there with you about it. He was sooooo in love with Diana. The girl that is shown saying in beginning of the video was a famous model - the name doesn't come to me now. But the video was so full of stars from movies in the 80's - its was so funny actually. This song gave a sweet break from a lot of the hits on Bad album - I love all the songs on the album. But this song was underrated and underplayed sadly. Michael's songs about love are so romantic and beautiful. Purehearted and sincere love is his message here. Y know he performed this from his heart. :-) :-) God bless you two for this reaction video. Keep on bring more to new listeners - Honey I feel giddy about this song too :-) :-) Michael is forever and forever innocent :-) :-) 🥰🥰❤❤
Thank you so much! We're so appreciative! We are still so on love with this song. It hasn't left our ears since we've both reacted to it. I can't believe it took me so long to truly appreciate this masterful song! But, now that I am... it will forever be a legendary song of MJ that I will cherish forever. I can't believe this song wasn't more promoted back in the day. But, this song gives the "Bad" album such credibility and really makes this album something special. This is such a tranquil and special song of MJ's that will forever show how talented MJ is. And how far ahead he is compared to every other artist. When MJ sings about true love, you can hear the innocence and wonderment in his voice. Man, we are absolutely in love with this song!!! Thank you so much for your beautiful comment! Much appreciation 💛 ✨️
Yeah! I couldn’t find the right word, but that’s right! Giddy!! I do so much listening to this song! Only Michael can really make me this way! I love it! -honey❤️
Such an incredible catalog of music/short films can't wait for you guys to get to live performances, keep up the great reactions. It's all for love, L.O.V.E.
Thank you so much! Yeah, once we get to his live performances (which we'll be dedicating an entire month to most likely) it's going to be legendary! MJ's music is like a fine aged wine... gets better each year!
I'm so glad! Me too! It's awesome that I get to go back in time with all of you amazing people and my wife! MJ was a huge part of my childhood, so the fact that I can re-experience all of the Michael mania again is such a blessing! Thank you so much for your comment and support!
Nice shirt That’s one of my MJ’s favorite of all time Pls check Michael Jackson’s Earth song , Lady in my life , Ghosts full movie.. you guys are amazing , MJ forever he will never die . I don’t like today’s music ..
There is so much more MJ to react to! She has no idea! HAHA! Can't wait for her to react to all of them and experience it with all of you! Thank you! It's only fitting to rock some MJ clothes now during these videos!
just finished the 60min interview with Ukrainian president and i am shook to my bones. and then i saw your post and honestly i am so much calmer and the anxiety is fading away, especially for this song "Liberian girl" -- i always read your introduction down below and i find it amazing to learn something new every time. Oh man without that music specially mjS i would go mad.
Wow! Thank you so much! With the chaos around the world right now, I'm glad we all can come together and vibe out to MJ together. It'll always be a party here! Thank you again for your support! We appreciate you so much!
I never loved people reactions to MJ like i do with you guys . Y'all literally the best 🛐 i can't wait till the next reaction 😆😆 btw new subscriber ✌️☺️ . I'm also a huge fan of anime so this is my channel 😹
Hey guys, I've been watching your channel for a bit now. I love that you are introducing your wife to MJ. Love to see new people discover his great music. I was listening to Earth Song this morning and thought, they have to react to that one. I think your wife will truly enjoy that track. Arguably his most important song in his discography. Hope to see more from you all. Peace and Love. ✌🏾
Hey! Thank you so much for your support. We are so blessed! We'll definitely react to "Earth Song"! She's already heard that song before, but, has never seen the music video. So, it'll be anew experience for her! That song is so momentous and so beautiful. Can't wait until we get there. Since we're going back to "HIStory" for our next couple of reactions for next week, I think we'll do the reaction sooner now!
Liberian Girl wasn't written in 1983 and it isn't about Diana Ross I don't think but there are some songs that are rumoured to be about Diana that makes more sense, like Dirty Diana, I'm So Blue (an unreleased song from the Bad sessions), and Remember The Time. The song was written in 1986 or 1987 and Michael said in his Ebony interview in 1988 that he got the idea whilst he was playing Pinball. Fun fact originally the song was called Pyramid Girl
From what I've been reading online, many close to MJ have said throughout the years that after MJ and Diana Ross went on vacation in Liberia, that MJ became more enamored with Diana Ross and the beauty of the women from Liberia. And that MJ was subconsciously writing this song about her. Even though he did write it after playing in his game room, who knows what he was thinking of that triggered such beautiful inspiration. And that's the magical element of MJ's music! Inspiration can be found anywhere. Never knew it was originally called, "Pyramind Girl". That's quite unique! Thank you so much for dropping the knowledge! We learn so much from you guys! Thank you!
Liberian Girl was 1000% written in 1983 during the Thriller Era you got it confused with it being recorded in 1986 which is when it was recorded so😉✍🏽👑🎯💯(“Blue Gangsta” is about Diana Ross as well)
Diana Ross was the love of his life. When he was living with her and his brothers in Encino his brother Jermaine said that he called her his girlfriend and he wouldn’t let anyone near her. In his autobiography ‘’moonwalk’’ he called her his mother, his friend and his lover. He openly flirted with her in public on several occasions, she called him sexy, he returned the compliment, he told her ‘’i love you’’ at least 3 times when they performed together ‘’upside down’’ on a tv show once, he wrote how difficult it was for him to be happy for her when she got married and though she invited him he didn’t attend her wedding, he was totally checking her out when she presented him with the award for ‘’we are the world’’ and he seemed upset about her marrying another man,he admitted to Oprah he had a huge crush on her since he was a kid, she sat on his lap and he seemed over the moon during an award show in Monaco while she sang ain’t no mountain, he wrote and dedicated ‘’remember the time’’ to her, he openly chased her while he was married to Lisa Marie Presley, which angered the latter, he couldn’t get his hands off of her when Diana inducted the Jackson 5 to the rock and roll hall of fame and he told her in public ‘’i am crazy about you’’, his brother Jermaine wrote in his book ‘’she was the love that always escaped him’’, he melted like butter when she visited him at the hospital in 1995 when he literally had Lisa Marie thrown out of his room and he left his kids with Diana in the event of his mother’s passing which proves how much he loved her and idolised her. Also, Gene Simmons whom Diana dated once never got over that she called Michael’s name instead of his. So, i think they had a relationship. It is said that due to the age difference Diana didn’t accept his wedding proposal, which took him years to get over. Also, it is said that Michael’s mother didn’t approve of her because she was 13 years elder than Michael, which Diana also knew and is one of the reasons she didn’t marry Michael. Truly this man is A true legend 🥺 I love you both so much!❤💙
His love for Miss Diana Ross was so endless and so pure. I feel like Diana Ross was truly his muse... his soul mate... his protector. He felt so safe around her. So comfortable around her. I'm so happy he had someone love that in his life. Someone that loved him for him! Not because he was famous or coukd benefit off of him. It was true friendship and true love between them. It does break my heart that they never really ended up together. Maybe they weren't meant to end up together in this lifetime, but maybe in the next life they will! Man, MJ truly was heartbroken when she married another man. I feel for him. His one chance at being eith his soul mate. But, their bond was still strong. I feel like when MJ looked at Diana Ross, he always saw hope and he always saw heaven. I wonder what their life would have been like if they did end up together?! Thank you so much for your comment and letting us know the history between these amazing and beautiful people! I really want to know more about these two! Thank you so much for your support! We are so appreciative. Genuinely! We absolutely love this community and people like you give us so much hope! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I have both of those shirts.😁 and loved the background as well. Do you know how big you have to be to bring out 32 stars of the 80s on the same set for a music video.
Thank you so much! It was time to show MJ his true respect! We'll be adding more MJ stuff in the future. Totally! MJ was a massive star and for him to gather all of these megastars of the 80's shows the respect he had with all of them!
Wonderful reaction video from you. Thank you very much for that. I'm curious how your wife likes the song "The Lady In My Life"? I would be very happy to see a reaction video to this song.
MJ is a legend! An icon! We love him so much. And this song is straight up 🔥 💯 We are obsessed with this song so much!!! Thank you so much for your comment and support. We truly appreciate it 🙌 🙏 😌
I loved the joyful reaction as always, honey who is always cute as a bunny donning an MJ top as well - I am dead! I was checking out the new MJ merch in the background but found myself more interested in the two stuffed animals at the bottom, I very much love stuffed animals, in fact sometimes I kind of wish I was a one :-) Brown, stay dedicated and do not spoil the songs for honey before the reaction ;) Ah, so you guys are in canada, very nice! PS. Very nice to see brown go off track and put in a completely unexpected track! Much love to you two honeybees
Thank you! Beyond words... thank you so much! You always make our day with your wonderful support for the both us! It was time to start giving MJ his true respect by rocking the merch in the back. There will be more in the future! And yes... I'm trying my best to not spoil the or overhype MJ for her haha. It's hard at times, though. MJ jusy gives me such a happy and exciting feeling, that I can't contain myself haha! Thank you for being such an amazing and sweet person the both of us. We are so lucky to have amazing people, like you, supporting our channel and being a very important part of this community!
Love your reactions! I envy your mom in that you share in her love for Michael Jackson. I wish my son, who is about your age, shared the same enthusiasm for MJ as I do. Just wondering if your mom watches your reaction videos? Keep up the great work!
Wow, thank you! We both appreciate that. It's all good if your son isn't into MJ... you have a lot of people here that adore MJ! We can all rock out to him together!!! Thank you so much for your comment!
Hi! My mother-in-law actually watches everything we do! She is extremely so supportive, our number one supporter! And she loves that we are reacting to MJ and all of our MJ memorabilia on the background are all hers, what she’s collected throughout the years 🥰 And I am so happy you found our channel! Now, we can all enjoy Michael’s songs all together! So much songs to discover, live performances, interviews and even home videos too! Thank you so much for liking what we do, subscribing and commenting! We really appreciate you! -honey❤️
ohhh yesss.... : i seeee : great books of Mj, ANDDDD THOSE T-shirts areee making me lol. and the picture of Michael in latex pants and yellow shirt is everything, so personal, royal, romantic, rockstar, he looks awesome, by the way this was the picture they displayed on his private funeral. Also could you give us some information on the photoshoot of this album- single cover? i am so curious where it was taken and who did it?
Thank you! All of this MJ stuff was given to me by my mom for the channel! She has so much more at her place. Once we get a bigger place to shoot these videos, we'll be displaying them all in full effect! The picture in this video were taken for the promotional shoot for the "LIberian Girl" single. If you type into Google: Michael Jackson Liberian Girl promotional single album cover, you'll find way more!
@@honey.brown.popcultered Did you know that Michael wrote songs for Diana Ross? E.g. Diana's single "Muscles" was written and produced by Michael, who also sang background vocals.
@@e.s.7272 Oh wow! That's so cool. Never knew that. They definitely were kindred spirits in the studio as well as in real life! We'll check those songs out! Thank you
Here's a fun fact: the female voice behind the Kiswahili spoken parts is Letta Mbuli, a South African veteran artist who's married to Caiphus Semenya, they worked with MJ and Quincy Jones on "Liberian Girl". South Africa loooovess Micheal Jackson deeply 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 Edit: The song itself gave Liberian women some love, grace and impact because it was written as a love letter to black women. The song was sampled on MC Lyte's 1996 song "Keep On Keeping on" and 2Pac's "Letter 2 My Unborn Child"
Diana Ross was someone that Michael was in love with. Diana was a person that cultivated his love of music, art, and given him a sence of peace. Michael and his brothers actually stayed with Diana for a while. Here's a story: Dianna give Michael and his brothers easel and paint to use. She set them up in her living room. Her all white livingroom with shag carpet, white sofa. And yes, they made a mess. The thing is she didn't yell at them. She made them clean it up and it wasn't talked about. Also Diana took Michael to museums. She was his " Henry Higgins" someone that took a woman that he though was not up to his standards and changed her way of speech, dress, walk, talk and eating. In the movie she fell for him. I don't believe Diana thought those things about Michael and his brothers, however she became a mother figure, because their mother wasn't with them in L.A. for sometime. Also she allowed him to be himself, she knew how shy he was. She loved him with a unconditional love. And there was so much respect on both sides. When Michael died so did apart of her heart, it took her sometime to even talk about him publicly, I remember her singing to his mom, maybe 2 years ago... You Are Not Alone. I could go on! I grow up listening to J5, i was 6 when they started with Motown, I watched the ED Sullivan Show growing up! And of course i kept my eyes on Michael. His eyes were very expressive and as a kid myself, that was shy I understood. I didn't know at the time how much he suffered from not having friends to talk to. And i believe that is why Diana Ross, Elizabeth Taylor, and Princess Diana were so close and meant so much to him. You would think because of who he was he had lots of friends?! Unfortunately that was the problem, he didn't want to be the singer to a friend,, he just wanted to be seen as another human being! GOD BLESS you both! And stay safe! Love you!
Wow, this honestly brought tears to our eyes. To see such beauty in Diana Ross and her authentic and genuine love towards Michael. A guardian... a protector for him. I believe that Diana Ross was Michael's muse. It brings such peace to us knowing that someone out there truly loved Michael for Michael. And never wanted anything from him. Michael lived in a fairytale in terms of how he views love (which I can 100% relate to as well), so I know when he cares for someone... it's genuine and always true! Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and watching our video. We honestly appreciate you! And once again, we're so sorry for the late reply.
@@michellec5407 Thank you so much for taking the time to comment to us. We truly love it! Wow you are a real Mike fan. If you know about Diana Ross. I always can tell what level fan someone is based on if they know about the bond between him and Diana Ross. ❤❤
Y'all are so cute, yes I've always loved this song although Bad album isn't my favourite. Off the Wall is still his best album to me, but you could tell MJ was a huge romantic...
Yeessss, what a song. I'm very happy you chose not to watch the music video, it can get very annoying because you don't really get to hear the song properly.
I Don't Know About Diana Ross And All That. Mike Said He Wrote The Song While Playing Pinball In His Gameroom, Which I'm Inclined To Believe. Fans Tie Everything Back To Ross All The Time When I Don't Think That's The Case. It's An Ode To The Beauty Of African Women
Yeah, no one truly knows what really inspired this song. After reading online about this song, and hearing statements made from people who were closest to MJ, it was heavily implied that it may have been inspired by MJ's love for Diana Ross. He started to cultivate this song after his vacation in Liberia with Diana Ross in 1983. And his bodyguard at the time who was assigned to go with them said that MJ was so enthralled with the beautiful women of Liberia and said that he believes that MJ wrote this song about those women and had Diana Ross in mind as well because he had experienced Liberia with her. I guess we'll never truly know, but, a lot of MJ's songs were written in the POV of the women he had such admiration and love for.
Diana Ross was the one who presented the Jacksons5 with their first album. at one point, Diana was taking care of him when he was like a kid, like he literaly lived with her the biggest star on the planet at that time. (what an interesting bio).. and she was one of the first divas and fashion icons a suuuuperstar. and in his eyes she was the shiniest star he was being so close to. Michael also wanted Diana to take care of his children if Kathrine his mother couldn't after his death. they were more like platonic soulmates. They did the rock with you song together once. soo funny (watch). I get the feeling also it is asexual love of mj what makes him so attractive and resonates with everyone male, female, non binary friends, he is inclusive of all the genders.
MJ and Diana Ross are definitely true soul mates! I never knew their full history! Thank you for letting us know. That is truly amazing. She was such wonderful part of MJ's life. She was almost his guardian angel. And MJ always looked at her lime his silent protector. That is truly so heartfelt. MJ's music and his love translates universally! And that's what makes MJ a true walking myth... a legend... the best of us! Thank you so much for your beautiful comment!
Sorry, but I've to correct you on how the song "Libirian Girl" came to be. Listen to Michael in the Ebony Jet interview in 1987 or read the quote on Michael's homepage: "Michael Jackson: "I wrote this in my house in the game room. I think I was playing pinball or something, and the song just popped into my head. And I think I ran upstairs, put it on tape, and it became 'Liberian Girl'.....I don't think about it, it just comes."
Yeah, I guess it was never confirmed that this song was about Diana Ross. But, after reading online from the people closest to MJ, many thought that this song was an ode to his love for Diana Ross. Some were saying that after MJ and Diana Ross went to Liberia together, MJ fell in love with the beauty of the women of Liberia. And that his love for Diana Ross grew even larger after the vacation. So, while he may have not had the sole mentality of Diana Ross in his head when creating this song, many believed he was imagining Diana Ross while recording and writing the song. I guess we'll never truly know. And that's what is beautiful about MJ's songs. It can be up for interpretation. Thank you so much for the comment! Appreciate it so much 🙏
It's a shame that you don't know Diana Ross too! She's one of the greatest musical icons. Michael knew her since he was 10 years old and she was already a worldwide superstar and they remained friends throughout his life.
@@honey.brown.popcultered so many...like Michael, she dominated through multiple decades. Theme From Mahogany (Do You Know Where You're Going To), I'm Coming Out, Upside Down, Ain't No Mountain High Enough, Endless Love, Missing You, Love Child, Baby Love, Love Hangover, Love is Like An Itchin' In My Heart, You Can't Hurry Love, My Old Piano, Reach Out And Touch (Somebody's Hand), Reach Out (I'll be There), Reflections, Stop! In The Name of Love are some of my faves and some of her biggest hits. You should also react to her video of Muscles which Michael wrote and produced for her and provided backing vocals. I think you both would be surprised by that one! She and Michael performed together many times throughout the years and Michael guested on a television special of her's and they performed together, which is another great one to react to once you get to live performances. And she also did a beautiful tribute cover performance of Michael's You Are Not Alone, after MJ's passing.
@@honey.brown.popcultered Most definitely! Like Michael, she began her career as lead singer of an A List group at Motown. The Jackson 5 for Michael and The Supremes for Diana Ross.
@@snkb42Bro, You mentioned about lip-sync here so I want to tell you one thing. One fact that people need to be aware of is that Michael suffered from mild to moderate lung disease. The entire world found this out after his autopsy in 2009 but he had known that his voice was getting weaker at times when he over used it. It is now commonly believed that he suffered lung erosion as a child performer because he was forced to sing so much in smoke filled clubs. And we think of Michael Jackson, we only think of his career in 80s, 90s, mostly. But, we all forget that he had an extensive career with his brothers for 20 years. Michael along with all the brothers in Jackson 5 and the Jacksons had performed almost 500 concerts, on record. Maybe even more than that. Michael Jackson performed live on all of his live performances(except in the mid-90s to early 2000s period). He performed live as a member of the Jackson 5, he performed live on the Victory Tour. And Michael also had 3 big solo tours in which only in his last world tour - HIStory Tour, he’s lip-synced. In Bad Tour, there were 123 concerts, in which everything was performed live, sometimes with the exceptions of smooth criminal and the first part of man in the mirror. In the Dangerous tour, he would also sometimes lip-sync to Thriller and black or white. And then Michael had a throat problem(laryngitis) during his HIStory World Tour, so he lip-synced to most of the songs, and added live vocals only towards the end or as ad-libs. During the HIStory era he had Laryngitis, and instead of canceling shows like he did for the Dangerous Tour he opted to use playback. Yes The Munich Billie Jean is lip-synced, but don't forget that, That Performance is still an iconic And it was not completely lip synced, he lip synced until Moonwalk. After everything was live. Hey, Sorry if I behaved rudely :)

@@Milkers777 Awesome! Thank you so much!
I must add that I have been in love with this song since the first time I heard it as a child :)
I love that! "Sonic fantasy"!!! What a beautiful way of describing this song!
One of his best songs up there with Human Nature.
This is truly one of MJ's most overlooked songs.

Also, I have a glitch with TH-cam atm, because for some reason I can't reply to comments anymore.

Liberian girl isn’t about Diana and remember the time as well as dirty Diana weren’t about Diana either.😃 they’ve been rumors only. :)
I love it! -honey❤️

I love you Michael.!!
MJ still lives on! Thank you for your comment!
I think it sounds less like the 80’s because this is the remastered version.
Love the new background mj stuff!
Thank you! We have to make MJ proud!!!
He openly flirted with her in public on several occasions, she called him sexy, he returned the compliment, he told her ‘’i love you’’ at least 3 times when they performed together ‘’upside down’’ on a tv show once, he wrote how difficult it was for him to be happy for her when she got married and though she invited him he didn’t attend her wedding, he was totally checking her out when she presented him with the award for ‘’we are the world’’ and he seemed upset about her marrying another man,he admitted to Oprah he had a huge crush on her since he was a kid, she sat on his lap and he seemed over the moon during an award show in Monaco while she sang ain’t no mountain, he wrote and dedicated ‘’remember the time’’ to her, he openly chased her while he was married to Lisa Marie Presley, which angered the latter, he couldn’t get his hands off of her when Diana inducted the Jackson 5 to the rock and roll hall of fame and he told her in public ‘’i am crazy about you’’,
his brother Jermaine wrote in his book ‘’she was the love that always escaped him’’,
he melted like butter when she visited him at the hospital in 1995 when he literally had Lisa Marie thrown out of his room and he left his kids with Diana in the event of his mother’s passing which proves how much he loved her and idolised her.
Truly this man is A true legend 🥺
I love you both so much!❤💙
His love for Miss Diana Ross was so endless and so pure.

Here's a fun fact: the female voice behind the Kiswahili spoken parts is Letta Mbuli, a South African veteran artist who's married to Caiphus Semenya, they worked with MJ and Quincy Jones on "Liberian Girl". South Africa loooovess Micheal Jackson deeply 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Edit: The song itself gave Liberian women some love, grace and impact because it was written as a love letter to black women. The song was sampled on MC Lyte's 1996 song "Keep On Keeping on" and 2Pac's "Letter 2 My Unborn Child"
Please 🙏 let the song play

Loved the reaction this is MJ basically exclaiming his love for a girl he knows or it’s what I think 😂
You can hear his admiration and his pure and absolute love within his voice on this song! This is top tier MJ!
I know! I'm definitely going to educate myself on her now! Any songs I should check out by her?
@@GalaxyNexus1 Awssome! Definitely checking these out. Thank you so much for listing them for us!
@@honey.brown.popcultered Most definitely! Like Michael, she began her career as lead singer of an A List group at Motown. The Jackson 5 for Michael and The Supremes for Diana Ross.
@@GalaxyNexus1 I can see why MJ was so in love with her!
plz react to mj live performance (Billie jean live in Munich 1997, smooth criminal live in Munich 1997)
Only not Billie jean, there is a lip sync. It is better Wembley 1988 or Bucharest 1992
yes
But the Munich performance is also best
I can't wait to introduce her to all the live performances. It's going to blow her mind!
He performed live as a member of the Jackson 5,
he performed live on the Victory Tour.
Yes The Munich Billie Jean is lip-synced, but don't forget that, That Performance is still an iconic
And it was not completely lip synced, he lip synced until Moonwalk. After everything was live.
Hey, Sorry if I behaved rudely :)
@@PAWANKALYAN_21 I know perfectly well the reasons and so on. I'm a fan, but I like his live performances more than ever.
Thank you could you please react to Michael Jackson in the closet
Oh for sure! We're heading towards the "Dangerous" album very soon!
Please react to ‘The lady in my life’?🙏
Hello!
Most definitely. This MJ journey is for from ending.
Thank you so much for you comment and taking time out of your day to watch our video. We truly appreciate it 🙌
Please react to human nature
Oh we will! Can't wait until we truly start the 80's era!
Diana Ross was the Beyonce of the 1960s-1970s!
did you just put Beyonce and Diana Ross in the same sentence? just stop.
@@TreyMessiah95 Why don't you agree?
I feel Beyonce was heavily influenced by Diana Ross. Most women in the music industry have such a high regard for Diana Ross
if you want to understand the stories around michael's life in more depth, react to the channel "The detail" it's really great! (Great video btw, I like the fact that you take your time to explain)
I've been recently checking that channel out. Absolutely love it! Very informative and very interesting. It's like going back in time and re-experiencing Michael mania all over again!
And thank you so much for your comment and support 🙏
@@honey.brown.popcultered yes we seem to understand what really happened in the past with michael! :)
I love your reactions but your introduction is long. I always forward to get straight to the music
Hahaha, I know! We're working on cutting down the intro to a minute. Something we've discussed. We even think our intro is way too long haha. There are chapters in the video to skip right to the reaction part, though.
Thank you so much for the comment and feedback. We're still adjusting to TH-cam in general. But, moving forward, it's something we're going to fix!
