TH-cam shorts are not treated the same by the algorithm as long form videos... it's too hard to figure out what works with TH-cam shorts.
Exactly....all those million views shorts out here are totally non seo ...even no description, no hashtag...i bet they even add Tags....

@@donatello4456 adding tags and descriptions is the last thing you need to worry about. Sure it can help kick start your video with helping youtube show it to the right audience but really you just need to dig deeper and find what you need to change with your video itself. NOT SEO!
I’m convinced that it’s completely random. My most liked videos don’t have nearly the most amount of views. Just keep grinding.
Same my most liked video have less views, i can upload the exact same type of content one video can be poorely edited one i may spend hours editing. Both are just as likely to blow up.

There are no tricks or patterns to the algorithm, from experience I can totally confirm that it’s purely random. Just post and hope your video does well.

Just post as many videos as possible I only do for 3-4 days
I don't post shorts, but for standard videos I can confirm that posting more than once or twice per week will hurt the performance of previous uploads. The algorithm needs about 7 days to analyze a video to determine what type of audience to recommend it to. However, if you upload another video before the 7 days are complete then it interrupts the algorithm from analyzing the previous upload. This is just my experience

As a 6 years experienced TH-cam creator with multiple successful channels in different niches, I highly disagree.
Shorts algorithm is hit or miss you don’t even need good content to get millions of views it’s all just luck unlike long form algorithm
I never got any viral video ever, but even with 60% swipe it looks like it doesn't really matter, views just die... 📖🍌
I don't know what you're talking about. My shorts (check them out) only get 500 to 1,500 views within 3 hours and then the views completely fizzle out. The algorithm doesn't keep feeding them every day to people. And I hardly get any views from search and when the ones that do come from search come mostly from totally unrelated search terms! It's weird.

Tip: just keep creating until one of your shorts takes off then the algorithm will show more of your shorts to the people that made your short viral
He used to say a couple months ago that posting everyday was a must, and I already knew that this wasnt true by my experience. Give it a day or two, if your short goes way over your normal views, dont post another similar one, let it grow first

I heard that yt punishes you from more than 3 a day. Like 3 was where the limit was. Also your subscribers only get notified about 3 vids a day.

I’m so confused at this point 😢😢 we are told to niche down but then when we do it’s labeled as too repetitive… and then if we don’t niche down it’s too random. Trying to be a content creator on any platform right now is exhausting. I don’t think anyone actually knows what’s going on
The best trick is study the game... learn what they say but do what works for you, I found a way, tho it's slow, it helped me to get 150 subs over 4weeks

Hi Bro, I'm having some issues. If i upload a (Short) daily, I get 30-2k views on the majority of the videos. But If i upload my shorts with a 1 day difference, like 4 shorts a week, i get about 5k-10k views.
you just found a glitch in the matrix bro, if you post 7 shorts per week u get at most 14k views, if you post 4 per week u get 20-40k total

I post 1 time a week, and recently I got a short with 6,000 views and a week after, I posted another one and my other short capped.

Generally when I upload short video, YT algorithm promote it until 70-80 % swipe away. Then it freeze 😢

Just try not to post within 24 hours of your last short that way it gives your previous short time to grow and get views

youtube is delaying your videos after you post a few more then normal let it catch up a few days
I think it depends. You can post nine times a day and 1 of those videos has a higher chance of trending. My advice is post as much as you and let the algorithm determine which video to push out to your audience.

I think TH-cam shorts are always updating so you need to be unique with editing and small things even if you are doing a trend. Sometimes my views go up but sometimes I kinda die out so I work on grinding long form then.
I make meme shorts. I use the same title except a different number for which part the video is. For me its going pretty well i believe

The algorithm usually changes every few months or years and now recently they want higher quality videos. I'm assuming they detect bots now and they give then low views. I might be wrong though.

yoo you might of solved something, I started with shorts 2 months ago and my account was growing rapid, i started posing long videos and 4 post a day with both and i noticed my views went down dramatically, Thinking about posting long videos a day and when i hit my mark, start back using shorts

I’ve noticed when I was first starting my videos weren’t doing well either MAYBE 100 views but over time they started getting more granted the content imo is better but I recently posted a short just promoting my new video I spent no time on and it gained almost more views then my shorts with information lol
Goddamn it, I think the 2nd reason is why my views dropped. My first two videos got a lot of attention so I decided to post my third video and that was when the attention for my shorts have dropped

I noticed this myself when I posted a lot of short clips within several hours but I still really can’t get my head around it because some of my shorts get over 1/2k views and then some I post are getting nothing.
I posted one today at peak time and it is still on 3 views, with a trending sound and relevant hashtags so it just seems very random at this point and I’m finding it hard to understand how to organically grow without having to do paid promotions which I can’t afford to do yet 🤨
