Simply astounding soundscapes, this is the soundtrack to this season of my life. Thank you! ❤ Also, will this particular composition available on Spotify?
Somewhere in the multiverse, this echoes down the corridors of the Serenity. Wash is at the helm, Preacher's learned to play the banjo. River dances to the rhythm, Simon's had time to find a love of music and computers and mixes the two while Inara plays the dulcimer. Captain and Zoe watch on, smiling over cups of coffee. Kaylee curses and replaces yet another part while Jayne sleeps in a hammock in the cargo bay. Wheel keeps on turnin...
Well looks like it time to don my brown coat and binge watch firefly and finish with Serenity again. not looking forward to the empty feeling afterwards, wishing it could have run its full story properly
This juxtaposition is nuts. I never would've thought of space and banjos. It makes sense from an American perspective. It's the final frontier after all.
I am thoroughly convinced that the organ and the banjo are the instruments of the stars-the organ to capture the majesty of space and the banjo to accompany the vagabond that wonders it
Oh, to wake up under the stars, near a campfire with marshmallows and a friend to talk with only to discover you basically have 22 minutes to save (litterally) everything you know. Such a wonderful feeling!
You know you can make it up the hill. You know that both the laser grid and the pressure mines you have seen before. Your leg pneumatics are good. Your sealant is good. You have a decoder for the system infantry defense. You'd rather live, but are prepared to die( death is serene, but getting there bites azz). Your banjo is tuned, your needler is ready, and the people you love, know it. Let's do this thing, beloved.
I never thought a Banjo and Deep Space ambience would EVER mix but they mix surprisingly well and I love it. Super relaxing and wild sounding, makes me want to go exploring.
...God, the more I listen, the more I feel like this is /home/. I miss my great-uncle and grandpa playing banjo by the firepit on a chilly autumn night, with the whole swathe of the Milky Way overhead for us all to see, since we were deep enough in the valleys to be in a dark zone. Out in the deep, deep countryside, down the old roads leading to the old farm...with the stars flying high, high above, and the memories soft in the darkness. Two old pilots remembering the skies out on the old airstrip... Thank you

"FILK" music is a whole genre of space-folk that's been slept on for too long! Look it up and you'll find a lot of music like this with and without vocals ✨
Somewhere out there, the leylines are strummed like strings. The ethereal reverberations echoing through the darkest depths where space is so deep, it's no longer blackness, but rather pinks, blues and greens.
I want to have a mind that works like your visual cortex. May the smoke of nebulae coordinate above your loved ones hearts ,may your artists pen infer and confer their harmonic light. And may a stranger's blessing ride with you, and yours.😊
Sometimes I get a little wigged out by how spot-on my algorithm is, and how personal my digital footprint has become. This time though, I'm so happy it knew I needed space banjo before I knew.
For all the people enjoy this music and vibe, I HIGHLY recommend the game Outer Wilds (not The Outer Worlds). The music scratches much the same itch and it complements the story incredibly well. The only thing I'll add is that if you do go play it do so as blind as possible. Discovery is the whole point of the game, so spoilers can very quickly ruin the experience.
Take my love, take my land, Take me where I cannot stand. I don't care, I'm still free, You can't take the sky from me. Take me out to the black, Tell them I ain't comin back. Burn the land and boil the sea, You can't take the sky from me.
I saw this thumbnail and immediately thought of this one location in the third book of the Hyperion Cantos, Endymion, that was this massive techno-organic Dyson Sphere. it was a beautiful location for sure, an impossibly vast Tree that surrounded a star, the inhabitants watering it with comets.
If we're talking Hyperion Cantos I'd associate this more with the pilgrim's initial trek to the Shrike, laughing all the way; or some of the Ousters, building a thriving civilization of exiles among the stars. That treeworld always felt more like epic druid music to me, or just triumphant music in general. Thanks for bringing that series up by the way, haven't thought about it in ages.
You know that few seconds on Pirates of the Caribbean where you're floating by that shack before descending down the first waterfall, and there's that relaxing banjo playing and all seems right in the world? That's what this sounds like, but stretched out 45 minutes.
To anyone watching this video, I pray that those who are hurting will soon be healed, and will have the worries and stress in their heads removed. May dark thoughts, overthinking and doubts escape your mind, clarity will replace confusion. May peace and tranquility permeate your life.

Maybe they found a planet, lone and solitary in the vast depths of galaxy. Maybe they made a home out of spare parts and space trash and alien planet resources. Now, maybe they have a lovely home with plush carpet made from ??? (something soft and fluffy, that's for sure). There are drawings and photographs on the walls. There are half-assembled doodads scattered on every available surface. And the lights are strung up all over the walls and ceiling, which can be activated by a switch in every room *except for the front hall switch don't do that it knock the power out entirel--* ah well. The kitchen is stocked with cuisine from the planet, from trading, from the nearby space rest-stop. The front and backyard is a teeming garden, filled with flowers and edible vegetation alike. And maybe on most nights, our space-dweller pulls the draw string on the makeshift pull-down stairs and makes their way up to the roof. They sit criss-crossed on the roof of their house, looking at the busy sky that used to be completely foreign, but with time has now grown friendly and familiar. They marvel at the stars and planets and hues, marvel at how far they've come, marvel at how content they've been. Maybe they play their banjo, their constant companion.
