You could never ever go wrong with pothos. They are easy to find and can be found at decent or cheap prices, fill any empty corner with a lush golden pothos and it won’t do you wrong !
I just bought 4 trailing golden pothos and one marble queen. Propagated the marble queen which had a jade mixed in with it. Propagated it too. They are beautiful plants and hard to resist for sure.

I live in Queens New York, the Home Depot plant section sucks. I've visited 3 different locations and the plants are usually all really small and expensive. That white snake in the beginning of the video would be $14.99-19.99 easily.
A H In South Florida our plants stay pretty stocked all year round, but I’m sure it’s because of the climate. I would think your area would start getting more plants in the Spring when things warm up a bit.
You said it is sunny? What is the sun? We have seen the sun peek out for minutes 1 day in 2 weeks. Living in Michigan stinks. I hate winter. It is so cold and depressing. Hard to believe I was born here
I'm ashamed to say how many Marble Queens I have; I can't resist them. They tease me at my local nursery over this. I only have one Golden and I'm fostering another for my friend, but they're both huge and gorgeous. I'm going to hate to let the foster go, but it will make space for another. I love pothos, Scindapsus, and vining Philodenrons. My Neon pothos is my pride and joy. For my money, I'll take something verdant and vigorous over an overpriced 'rare' plant any day. I don't have the real estate or the will to accommodate any more primadonnas than I already have. My Cebu Blue is showing signs of brattiness already and I was not prepared for that.

I just bought a flapjack last Friday for $5.98 at my Home Depot along with a couple of other cactus and succulents.

My targets have the real plants right when you walk in by the customer service area! You might have walked right past them! 😂😭
