I lived in Delhi for almost 30 years, i was born there, my teenage life, young 20s , now i am 31 year old, i have seen Delhi becoming worse and worse, over population, dirty roads, etc etc, we finslly decided to sell our house and we left and now we live in Indirapuram.

My suggestions:Increase the area that can be build in the particular space .so high rise buildings can be built . 2.Make govt employees work , I can't stress this enough . Please make them work. 3. Inforce the law , people won't fear the law no matter how many new laws you make . You need to inforce it . Build more jails , police stations and courts. 4. Hire more worker for cleaning the city and if you hire give them proper equipment. Indore model is great in this case. 5. Yamuna redevelopment like it was done with sabarmati river in Gujarat. 6.reduce the red tape than is required for opening new schools,a lot of people talk about sky high school fees but they come up with wrong solutions like fees control witch won't work. What will work is increasing the supply of school it will put a downward pressure on school fees. 7.Develope the small markets you see into high rise small multi story market complex , with small shops . and make one high rise building for parking . use remanig soace for parks or what ever is needed .Singapore have a great model for this . There are many more suggestions but my biggest one is just copy form others. see what they have done . solutions others countries have used to solve the problems .

Example of delhi power : MCD, traffic police, DJB, PWD and other imp government deptartment must be partially privatised.Govt administration is not good at any given point of time. E rickshaw should be banned. I was in mumbai few months back dint saw any rickshaw, hawker, and its a much cleaner city in comparison to delhi. They hold lesser land in comparison to delhi but still manages it very well .

Central and state government both should make affordable housing projects like Singapore did in 80s to shift their poor and slum dwellers in organised housing apartments. Government is giving money to some people to make houses in PM Awas Yojana, they should divert this money in urban areas to provide affordable housing to current and future migrated people.
Same problem with Guwahati also. So much of population influx , artificial flood, unlimited E Rickswas, Traffic congestion, people are coming for employment and studies as this is the only City in North East. I have been living in Guwahati for the last 31 years ,now it has become unliveable.

Center spend around 32% in Capital expenditure but i don't have exact figure of Delhi gov but I believe delhi's Capex budget will me lower than 20%. Govt should immediately ban migration from other states to delhi. We have to understand one thing that leaving ncr aside, delhi land area isn't so big to accept huge population. For this only reason, other major problem like lack of reaurces, crimes, theft, broken infrastructure and all other issues are increasing in delhi. My family has lived all our life from independence till date in delhi and believe me, delhi at one time was the best but now, it has become hell to live. Let me tell you an incident, i live in a well established and maintained society and we even have security guards here. Just 2 days ago, my neighbour got robbed in daylight in our own society. He was coming back from bank with some cash. 2 people came on bike and entered our society and literally pointed a gun on his head as if there arent scared of anything and snatched all money.Not only this, chain snatching is so normal here. For this reason only, people have stopped wearing any gold item in public. Now these type of incidents are not done by middle class or high income person who has a well established business or a job. All these crimes are only done by outsiders who are either poor and living in small areas or slums of delhi or illegal migrants from Bangladesh. I personally believe , govt should immediately intervene in this matter or if there's no solution, just change the capital to some other state. Even as a resident, i have to tell delhi is not worth to be called as a capital.

People are coming from here and there, but nobody is actually trying to make help build Delhi as clean city.
Maybe a strict action from govt and common people collaboratiom both are needed from equal level.
My suggestions:Increase the area that can be build in the particular space .so high rise buildings can be built .
2.Make govt employees work , I can't stress this enough . Please make them work.
3. Inforce the law , people won't fear the law no matter how many new laws you make . You need to inforce it . Build more jails , police stations and courts.
4. Hire more worker for cleaning the city and if you hire give them proper equipment. Indore model is great in this case.
5. Yamuna redevelopment like it was done with sabarmati river in Gujarat.
6.reduce the red tape than is required for opening new schools,a lot of people talk about sky high school fees but they come up with wrong solutions like fees control witch won't work. What will work is increasing the supply of school it will put a downward pressure on school fees.
7.Develope the small markets you see into high rise small multi story market complex , with small shops . and make one high rise building for parking . use remanig soace for parks or what ever is needed .Singapore have a great model for this .
There are many more suggestions but my biggest one is just copy form others. see what they have done . solutions others countries have used to solve the problems .

Thanx for bringing real issue of delhi. Being born and bought up in delhi i feel stressed living here. Jams, no governance, corruption. Example of delhi power : MCD, traffic police, DJB, PWD and other imp government deptartment must be partially privatised.Govt administration is not good at any given point of time. E rickshaw should be banned. I was in mumbai few months back dint saw any rickshaw, hawker, and its a much cleaner city in comparison to delhi. They hold lesser land in comparison to delhi but still manages it very well .

Central and state government both should make affordable housing projects like Singapore did in 80s to shift their poor and slum dwellers in organised housing apartments. Government is giving money to some people to make houses in PM Awas Yojana, they should divert this money in urban areas to provide affordable housing to current and future migrated people.

Center spend around 32% in Capital expenditure but i don't have exact figure of Delhi gov but I believe delhi's Capex budget will me lower than 20%. One of the reasons is freebies.Recently I visited Delhi, I can proudly say that my local or district Railway station is far better than New Delhi, in terms of Cleanliness, Conjustion, Easy Access etc. 😊

Govt should immediately ban migration from other states to delhi. We have to understand one thing that leaving ncr aside, delhi land area isn't so big to accept huge population. For this only reason, other major problem like lack of reaurces, crimes, theft, broken infrastructure and all other issues are increasing in delhi. My family has lived all our life from independence till date in delhi and believe me, delhi at one time was the best but now, it has become hell to live. Let me tell you an incident, i live in a well established and maintained society and we even have security guards here. Just 2 days ago, my neighbour got robbed in daylight in our own society. He was coming back from bank with some cash. 2 people came on bike and entered our society and literally pointed a gun on his head as if there arent scared of anything and snatched all money.Not only this, chain snatching is so normal here. For this reason only, people have stopped wearing any gold item in public. Now these type of incidents are not done by middle class or high income person who has a well established business or a job. All these crimes are only done by outsiders who are either poor and living in small areas or slums of delhi or illegal migrants from Bangladesh. I personally believe , govt should immediately intervene in this matter or if there's no solution, just change the capital to some other state. Even as a resident, i have to tell delhi is not worth to be called as a capital.

My family migrated from punjab to delhi during partition, So my family have seen the changes in delhi but from past 12 to 15 years delhi is just not growing. I am 31 years old now and wanna plan my future and family but I feel like I should not. I wanna stay in delhi but I feel like I have to move out to a different country because delhi ka ye haal hai toh baki states toh bhul hi jao. I hate each and ever thing now about delhi. But at the same time I love it because it's my birth city. I was visiting LA in 2017 and someone asked me do u stay here and I told him I am from India, New Delhi and the guy was like 'OH My God the city is so polluted' and I was like yeah but it's my birth place I love it there no matter what (it was embarrassing though) . I felt so so bad. Anyway I hate driving now in delhi. We don't know how to do this right I guess as citizens of this country. The worst is yet to come for us here in delhi. And I don't think we as delhi people are gonna change for delhi. The only thing some of us can change is our city's or country. I FEEL SAD FOR DELHI. WE RUINED THIS BEAUTIFUL CITY.

Sabse badi ek problem hai jis par sabhi delhi walo ko dayan dena chahiye, wo hai ki yahan bahut si aisi factories hai jo jeans ko colour karne ke baad us paani ko jis mein aise chemical hote hai jis se cancer hota hai wo use sidha sewer mein dal dete hai, or yeh paani naale se hote hue yamuna mein chala jata or isi paani ko delhi jal board wale delhi walo ko pilate hai.
