Wow a blast from the past. Nice video.
Used to go past the Roselle goods yard in the 70s as a kid quite often with my dad and always ogle at the trains… shame it’s gone now!, Progress for the City I guess!

Did a lot of electrical (hi voltage & o/h switching gear) maintenance at Rozelle, Darlo, Flemo & Enfield yards back in the 70s. Dangerous places if you didn’t know what you were doing.
Thanks for posting, enjoyed the memories.

Superb video that refresh memories of the 90's. If it goes another minute we should see Balmain box. Thanks a lot for the upload.

Would have liked to see more of what was in front and not so much what was behind and road views. views

There was no need to rip up most of the system when the trams were added, it was a real pity. Sydney Harbour should be a working industrial harbour. Otherwise we may as well rename it Parramatta River all the way to the heads.

Jimmy Bruce, legend, still going with PN, seen him at Bathurst last year on 8122 freight to Port Botany. Was that John Harnetty also in the video, sounded like his voice. Excellent valu that video, a real blast from the past! Thank you very much Greg!

5:20 S trucks still in use, nice touch. I thought non-bogie rollingstock (single axle) has disappeared altogether by 1984. Never seen so many V/Line boxcars together like that before. Not in NSW anyway.

Great video, used to live in Leichhardt in the late 80's and used to watch the trains along that goods line. So many great memories. Good to see that it's still being used, unlike the one at Ropes Creek.
