How to properly prepare and paint new IBR roofing

have you recently added some new IBR roofing around your house? Perhaps you have replaced a part of your existing roof or built a shed or lean-to to cover your generator or solar control panel and batteries. New IBR roof sheets need to be properly prepared, primed and painted to ensure that they remain rust-free and beautiful for years!

Hi Cassiem, for cleaning new IBR sheets we would recommend you ask your local hardware for a "Galvanised Iron Cleaner". With regards to the primer, look for a "Galvanised Iron Primer" - all of the top paint brands make one.
