For example I want to export an assembly from the Workspace as a step file and I don't want it to include any surface parts. Thanks for your work again. /Manan
Thanks to you and your coworkers for watching. You cannot export from workspace as STEP. However you can configure publishing to create a STEP file upon check-in and then the STEP can be downloaded from a standalone or embedded web browser or Windchill Navigate.
Hi, thanks for your videos! Are the objects in windchill checked out when you export them in a local folder? Why would you need to export objects? It is to work on them, maybe modify or apply changes and then re-upload them? Thank you in advance.
@@francescomeno You can check them out but they are not automatically checked out. You export from workspace anytime someone needs access to the files outside Windchill. You're going on a business trip and you can't VPN in. You have a contractor who is doing work for you. You are delivering your final work to your customer.
