We usually face this issue during checking in.. what I generally do is, pick the objects and upload them first. Then, check it in and ignore the incomplete parts so that the ghost files get ignored.. it happened when I tried adding an image to drawing sheet from my local directory.

Your admins need to change the Creo config option save_texture_with_model to yes to avoid that problem in the future.

      Can I change that manually?

If you know from witch part/assembly/format.. is the ghost you can replace the ghost
Click on info button on the ghost object, go to actions and chose replace and replace it with object
    Example:
I have some .drw file(s) in witch I use some "a4_part.frm" (standard format from local library which doesn't exist on windchill) as ghost and want to replace it with "wt_a4_part.frm" (standard format from windchill). With this I'll lose the references to the ghost and I can delete it.

I've always had one big question, Why can't creo lock the vertical direction/keep the horizon when rotating the view? it's almost the most important thing in 3D design, otherwise, it feels like you get an imbalance of the inner ear, Is there some reason of great wisdom?

Hmm. I’ve never felt that. Are you sure it’s not you? You should look into Orient Mode. It’s something we used to teach like 15 years ago but we stopped because no one used it. I forget how to invoke it but it’s on all the Quick Reference Cards.

Oh wait, have you ever tried turning off the spin center? I get seasick like crazy in a boat but I’ve never had any problems spinning a model in CAD, so I forget all the nuances of controlling rotate-zoom-pan. It’s second nature to me so it’s hard to explain. Like when I was trying to explain to my 4 year old how to tie shoelaces.
