রাজধানীর মোহাম্মদপুরে সড়ক ও ফুটপাত দখল করে গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে বাজার। এতে যানবাহন ও পথচারী চলাচলে বিঘ্ন ঘটছে। অভিযোগ আছে, প্রতিটি দোকান থেকে দিনে ১০০ থেকে ৩০০ টাকা পর্যন্ত আদায় করা হচ্ছে। ঢাকা উত্তরের মেয়র হুঁশিয়ারি দেন, সড়কে কোনো বাজার থাকবে না। শিগগিরই করা হবে উচ্ছেদ।
The market has been built by occupying roads and footpaths in Mohammadpur of the capital. This is disrupting the movement of vehicles and pedestrians. There are complaints that each shop is collecting 100 to 300 taka per day. The mayor of Dhaka North warned that there will be no market on the road. Evacuation will be done soon.

তোলা আদায় চক্রের, মাদ্রাসা পড়া পোলাপান গুলান সকলেই বেকার, তাঁদের কথা ভেবে না হয় একটু কষ্ট করেই পথ চলুন। যদি একান্তই ফাঁকা পথে হাঁটতে চান,কম্পালসারি জন্মনিয়ন্ত্রণের বিজ্ঞান ভিত্তিক ব্যাবস্থা করুন। একটুখানি পানিতে মাছের পোনা কিলবিল করলে হবে?

নারায়ণগঞ্জের রূপগঞ্জে গাউছিয়াতে একই অবস্থা। রাস্তা দখল করে500 শতাধিক কাঁচাবাজারে দোকান বসানো হয়েছে। প্রতি দোকান থেকে 200/250 টাকা নেওয়া হয়।
