This is GOOD. Very helpful - it clarified a lot of things, and also proved my original hunch that there will be a bit of "playing" to see what yields the best results for the fishing I'm doing.
you would think Garmin could do better on the audio. Hard to listen to.
Set the TH-cam playback speed to 1.25x and it sounds to be at a normal pace.

Here's a request for you... allow the transducer selection to be one of the settings you can save in a "favorites". ie the units come with preloaded "bait balls" "cruising" "fishing" groupings of settings. Allow sonar setup and transducer selection within those. For those of us with multiple transducers I'd like to select my 175HW when cruising or bottom fishing in 500' and my GT56 in "shallow fishing" mode.
Also, for ppl with multiple MFDs, allow a master/slave situation where if I spend 2hrs setting up one unit and tweaking all the settings and favorites for many views, allow those to be copied over to the other units. Don't make me recreate them on each unit.

my sailboat has the B150M installed, but want to add an additional transducer for speed through water. can I add wither the DST810 or the B744V and run either combination of two transsucers together WITH the B150M?

Hi in Australia have 7407xsv sonar not working no sonar icon depth flashing 321ft trusted tm150 and gt23 both won't work Garmin not interested in fixing and won't do replacement deal as unit was in boat whan purchased is there anyone there who can fix it I'm a pensioner cant afford to buy new one please help

Hi Nick, the frequency is going to change based on water conditions. I'd recommend starting with auto and slightly increasing the gain. -MR
save yourself some time and set Playback Speed on TH-cam to 1.5x.

I've owned Humminbird, Lowrance and Garmin and the best service by far has been Garmin.
If you think Garmin has bad customer service you obviously have not tried Others. Lol
