Take That's Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen chat with Smooth's Jenni Falconer about their new podcast, album and much more.
Take That will soon release their ninth studio album This Life - featuring the fantastic lead single 'Windows' - which sees Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald take on a mature Americana sound. It is their first new studio album in six years and their third as a trio (four if you count the 2018 compilation Odyssey).
To mark the new album, Take That have launched their official podcast Take That: This Life, a six-part Global Original podcast, released every Thursday starting today (October 19).
While recording the series, Smooth Radio's Jenni Falconer sat down with the boys for a special interview about the podcast.
The boys also discussed their amazing Coronation concert earlier this year, their return to touring in 2024, and reflecting on their decade as a three-man band.

they are just different...
TT3 has been great, but it's always nice to see Rob with the mates and hopefully from time to time creating new songs together. It would also be cool to have the TT5 era with all of the gents during their mid-life journeys.
Best Take That have done , they have Matured Gracefully..... wasn't really a TT fan but they have proved me wrong, i think they are Awesome🤟

If Robbie came back it's possible he could convince Jason Orange to return as well. I think though that Jason is going to be like John Deacon from Queen. A happy, content private citizen who will NEVER return to Take That, even for one show.
Here's an idea...IF Robbie Williams AND Jason Orange were to return for one more album and tour, I think Take That should enlist Giorgio Moroder to produce the ENTIRE album. A dance masterpiece. Then one final tour with all FIVE...Gary, Mark, Howard, Jason and Robbie.
There's no doubt that Jason felt they should have disbanded again after 'Progress'. That would have been the perfect ending to TT that he always wanted. Them as a five, the biggest band in Britain once again.
The Progress live tours were amazing. I was in Manchester when the robot broke down they climbed down on ladders. They had such a laugh and even “re-sung” the lyrics off the cuff. Brilliance.
If Rob might come back, so has Jason 🙏🏼

Maybe Jason will for a few concerts, but I don't think he will for a new album and world tour. Jason left Take That because he didn't want to be famous anymore. The chance Robbie wants to do another reunion is much higher.
I’ve DJ’d many parties and ‘Rule the World’ has been my go to for one of the last songs and it ALWAYS works.
