yes but the dorsal fin of his pterophyllum is not ideal.. too many fish in small tanks is the reason. I have the same thing when i put them too small. He needs to raise his pterophyllum in way bigger tanks to get more quality in his angels. The dorsal fin is a marker for the general quality. I now raise batches of 200 to 250 angels in 650 liter with a very big filter full of siporax. His food is good, but he needs to grow them out in bigger tanks. the rest ? Dean is TOP !!!!
Moving my fish room to a larger room and decided to postpone the move just so I can go back and re-watch all of Dean's fish room tours so I can learn and try to properly set the room back up. He's so knowledgeable and there's always something new to learn from him.
Great information on the 55 gallon breeder tank. Three of my favorite fish. Spawning triggers and barometric pressure, as always thank you. Great information from people who genuinely want us to succeed!
Lot of interesting lessons learnt and got into this hobby from a couple of youtube channel. And Aquarium Co Op is one of them! Awesome job! from Singapore.
Soooooo great to have Jimmy back at the Co-Op!!! And Dean has forgotten more than most will ever know about fish breeding! What a great pair.... love you guys!!
I've kept fish for years and ALWAYS loved Angels. Finally got one pair to breed (by accident), but had no success in maturing the fry. I'm so glad I FOUND your channel!
Love the Corydoras. Wasn't planning on attempting breeding AGAIN, however This is quite the challenge. More so than maintaining several 5gallon or less miniature habitats. Thanks, Dean/Cory/Aquarium-COOP!!.!.!!
Love dean and his personality! Even with a mask you can see how much he loves and cares for the hobby and his fish. Thanks Cory as well for all the info and great vids
It took me months of asking every week to get my sterbai corys. Growing out my 9 for about 2 months now in a 20g. Planning a new tank currently to rehome them into
I'm keeping those 3 species in my tank and l m trying to imitate the environment that they like. I'm glad to hear from the expert that they can coexist, live peacefully and breed in an appropriate set up!!!
This video was obviously filmed before the smoke settled in, blue sky. Dean always gives great info. I'm getting interested in angles but will have to decide if I can part with my Mbunas. They definitely would be more peaceful.
The co-op has saved me tons of money by giving me the know how to not make detrimental mistakes with my tanks. They offer Integrity and knowledge with everything they do. I am lucky enough to live in Seattle so I visit every week. Thank you Cory, Dean and the whole co-op team for being so AMAZING!!!!!
I always love videos with Dean in them! He just has a crazy amount of knowledge. I think Dean and Irene should write a book on fish keeping! I think it would be awesome to have both their perspectives in one book 🙂
been watching cory and dean for years just got back into hobby and to see how far cory has come is awesome to watch and how the whole fish community is a tight and close group hard to find now a days
Breeders like Dean are a gift to the community. I feel like the Co-Op gives him the platform needed to share what he's learned with a giant audience and that it's really helping us get better at taking care of our pets in a way that's different from how Cory and Irene approach things, even if we have zero intention of breeding them.
Right? I don't even have my tank set up yet (still planning) but I already have so many ideas swirling around in my head on plants and scaping and stocking. Hardest part so far is the sitting on my thumbs and waiting.
The lessons learnt from this channel is amazing, the “Black Ram” like all Dean fishes are amazing, these simple breeding tips amazing, just wish purchasing from Canada was possible
Gotta love dean, found out recently my love for fish is no coincidence, my great grandfather bred angels from the start of the 20th century. Used to get them to breed with hamburger meat!
Here for the contest!!! Love all the videos! Loving the sponge filter and prefilter I bought from co op aquarium! My fluval fx6 is running the best then it has ever ran
One of most honest and best youtube channels that i follow. Cory work and business ethics is irreprehensible. Your sharing of knowledge is priceless! Thank you!
I know this video is 2 years old, but I just love Master Breeder Dean. The man never stops teaching. He's so generous with his knowledge and his time. He's a wonderful part of the Aquarium Co-Op Channel.
I love all the B rolls. Oftentimes it's so hard to see when ppl just show the fish in the bag, so seeing them interacting with their tank is so cool! Definitely makes me want to get more fish (RIP to my wallet)
Dean is a great Salesman, always remembers that showing products helps the breeder just as much as the store.Wonder what Dean backloads from store each time it is always hard not to purchase if at a store.
I heard that in a video a while back around same rate as we get here.I think they pay him alittle more than what a normal wholesale price is, but if you are driving 1 hour each way to drop fish of i think it is a fair price.(Not sure how true they breed for Dean but you need to cull sometime's 50% of the young)
Every time I watch a video of Dean bringing fish to the store I think of getting in the car and drive to the store, then I check on the maps app and realize 2369 miles each way is a bit longer than an entire weekend just driving... 😁. Maybe one of these days.
All you need is a couple of coolers to maintain stable temps, a few of the nano USB air pumps, the no clog air stones, and a week long vacation is waiting for you!
Really, really loved the healthy plants.. The nano air filter is perfect for my Q tank and transporting livestock. What a good value for product. Thanks again TEAM for getting me back into the hobby. Stay well and keep filming. See you Monday Cory.

in my experience panda cories most often lay there eggs on ground area or somewhere on the floor of your tank. a way to control where cories lay there eggs is if you let your tank glass get dirty then clean one spot really well on the glass and they will lay right there. ime
Quentin Fogal Thanks for the advice, I’ll have to give that a try! Their tank has a nice moss covered piece of wood and they love it under that moss. From what you said I’m betting thats where the eggs are too.

I found Aquarium Co-op on TH-cam about 13 months ago. I wanted to get back into fish keeping after a 20 year break. I've learnt so much already... and learn more with every video or Live stream. I've progressed up to a fully planted tank with Volcanic soil, and have been messing around with breeding Gold Dust Mollys. I wish I had access to your products, but I'm making do with whats available locally. Thanks for all you do for the hobby guys
No fish tanks in Jimmy's new house, Jimmy needs to get a doctor's note. To whom it may concern it is extremely important for Jimmy's mental health, that he has more than one fish tank, 10 to 55 gallon's, the Fish Doctor, for mental clarity. ✌️👍
We don't quarantine fish from Dean. We do site visits regularly, he practices the same method in my fish room of always medicating and treating fish when they come in. Fish between our two rooms can pass between his hands and mind, sometimes even just for grow out stage. at 7 years of buying fish from Dean, we've never had a sick fish yet.
Thanks so much for all the info! I've been planning my 50 gallon tank for too many years, and I've wanted to do angels, cories, and apistos. Looks like it was meant to be!
When you're telling us about temperatures remember that many of us use degrees C instead of F. Viewers in the UK will be dropping their temperature by too much. Keep up the good work.
I’ve been looking for ways to make extra money off an extra 55 gallon. Great ideas of some fish to add in with my Apistos. Big fan, watch every video! New member soon!
Dean is great at teaching the craft I'm just a beginner so when I need to learn anything about being a fish keeper I just look up one of his videos and it always helps so I thank the master fish breeder Sir Dean the great

I pray y’all are safe from the fires!!
Beautiful fish Dean!!! 😻😻😻😻
Great fish!
Dean is a true GOAT....... The fact that they don't even quarantine his fish goes to show you that he's got his sh*t together!!!
I'm not worthy, lol
@@JMACK1 Hell, if you're not - I sure as hell am NOT - hahahahaha.....
I thought the same thing!

Dean is such a knowledgeable and humble guy
I really enjoy the videos he's in. Great sense of humor and major fish expert :)
I could listen to him everyday
Dean and Jimmy together, always a winning combination.
Love how Dean gets distracted but can then pick up right where he left off, lol
Moving my fish room to a larger room and decided to postpone the move just so I can go back and re-watch all of Dean's fish room tours so I can learn and try to properly set the room back up. He's so knowledgeable and there's always something new to learn from him.
I love Dean's honest and humble approach to everything
I could watch a Dean and Jimmy video all day. I learn so much from Dean.
I never would have considered weather conditions playing such a big role in fish breeding. Thanks again for the expertise Dean!!
Great information on the 55 gallon breeder tank. Three of my favorite fish. Spawning triggers and barometric pressure, as always thank you. Great information from people who genuinely want us to succeed!
I really appreciate the way you all work together to support each other and to encourage us in the hobby! Thanks!
Awesome video. The thumbnail looks like Dean as Bain from batman. "I was born in the brine shrimp, Batman, molded by it."
I love when Dean is on. He makes me feel like I could actually breed fish.
Same! I would totally set up that 55 if I wasn’t close to maxing out the outlet...
@@alyssadavis5128 I'm Ion the verge of hiring a plumber and electrition. Lol
Debra Haney honestly, that would be awesome
I got a mention. Kinda, I’m the guy who came in 3 times. 3rd time was the charm. Rams are doing great, still small but I think I only got one female.
respect the hustle
I live in East Wenatchee, couple hours away. You wanna ship me some 😂
Kyle Rush I tell you what, if I’m successful breeding them I will do that.
