I love my 4 player megacade. I just need to update it. Has been awhile since the last time I did that. Golden tee, shuffle shot and bowling are the best when drinking.

Do you have the 50”? Do you think the screen is too big? I’ll be playing fighting games so I don’t want to see a bunch of jaggies.
Would you prefer a smaller screen for any reason? I’m debating doing a 32” or 40-43” for a MAME cabinet, and I’m thinking there has to be a point where most games look bad if the screen is too large. I’ll be playing a ton of fighting games, and I don’t want to stare at a bunch of jaggies.
Honestly, I am extremely happy with my purchase of the 50-inch. Reason being, most of the old fighting games and what have you are not widescreen display. Therefore the machine puts a digital bezel around the screen and the actual game itself does not play full screen. Albeit larger than your average arcade cabinet, it's still has a big beautiful display and the pixelation is minimal. There is also graphic smoothing that you can turn on or off.

I have the golden tee all hooked to my megacade and all wires are fed up into where the controls are 8 for the buttons and 6 for the trackball. My 8 wires for buttons are soldered to a jamma board that is plugged into the IO board
I have a common ground wire for all of the buttons and I have a a wire for power for each button also originating from the IO board on the jamma .I’ve tried everything to test just the start button connection but cannot get it to work
Can you elaborate on the connection from IO board to the buttons and specifically how the wires are connected to the buttons

Hey man, sorry I missed this. I pulled the connector clips off of the existing fins on the button switches and sandwiched the stripped ends of the extension wires that I added to the GT wire harnesses back onto the button switches with the connectors. Hope this helps.

Great video. I want one of these one day. Do they ever run deals as far as prices go? Also I've checked other places and no one seems to come close to these guys.
Unfortunately, they do not typically run deals. However, once in a while they will have a megacade machine for sale that is fully completed but for one reason or another, the buyer had to bail on his machine and the company is stuck with one branded out for a specific customer. At that point, they will usually sell it a little cheaper just to quickly move it. The downside is, you don't get to pick any of your options and usually has artwork and whatnot that you also would not have selected. And yes, I researched machines from different companies for months and months, nobody comes close to Extreme Home arcades.
Dang man dragon ball xenoverse and mortal combat x are pretty recent games I thought these machines only had games up to like ps2 era that’s awesome

Honestly, I couldn't tell ya. However, people do it. You can hire movers to do it or recruit some friends. I've moved a pool table downstairs before so this should be much easier.

That MegaKade is a thing of pure beauty my Man especially with those light gun attachments (I had to put the K in there) as Mortal Kombat is sitting right beside it (: I miss the likes of Time Crises/Crises Zone & Point Blank ) ; Any way im waiting to get a Bartop arcade by the summer as my games room is crying out for one, I miss all the 90s Arcades Music/Sounds ( : To hear them again would transport me back to my 90s Childhood ( : Bring it on!!! @@PhDTracyWalker Mine is the full 50" Megacade in all it's glory. I have the light guns with recoil, PS3 controllers, Wii sensor bar, spinner, 4-player LED button playfield and custom MKX artwork. You can add a tron stick and driving game accessories as well as a ton of other custom stuff, but that's all I needed. They offer an active marquee now which I probably would've sprung for if it were available when I had my machine built.
@@PhDTracyWalker Went with the 4 player 50" megacade and basically told him to spec it identical to scantron's :) button layout and everything. I sold my dedicated NBA Jam 4 player machine and another multicade I had with 500 games and I'm replacing it with this ONE machine... can't wait.
@@Scantron5k After messing around with some other cabinets I've owned this machine will be worth the price paid. free updates, 65,000+ games and not having to build and mess with all of the wiring etc. can't beat it! Thanks for the video's keep them coming.
Awesome follow up video brother. This is still a bad ass machine. I saw some new tmnt games. I hope they get some of the raw thrills video games on there some day. I have the new jurassic park shooter game at my work. They have also done a tmnt arcade game too.

Will the home extreme arcade if buy a cabinet the will put night hawk golden tee on your arcade cab?
No, extreme home arcades does not have anything to do with Incredible Technologies and their proprietary hardware. You would have to manually by a separate machine and install it yourself like I did.

Hey Raymond, no problem! I just send mine in and look for surprises when I get it back lol. However, I believe David is able to send an Excel sheet with new games, but it may be mixed in with all of the others. Call David and ask him what he can do.
Raymond Bissonnette as a rule of thumb I usually update my hard drive with him once a year and look forward to all the new surprises

Love your video! Fantastic arcade machine. Wanted to ask you if you could play Star Wars Trilogy with a track ball. I know a flight stick came with the original arcade machine.back in 1998.

How are the speakers? They pretty loud? Is it a low, med, high setting or more less adjustable with a knob?
the speakers and sound system are very clear and loud. There is a volume knob on the underside of the playfield so that you can adjust the volume to your liking depending on what game you are playing. There is also an auxiliary input if you would like to use the sound system for something else other than your gaming. There is also headphone jack as well if you would like to keep the volume to yourself.

Just had a couple of questions.. Really interested in this.. How long does it take to get your machine after you order it? Also do they charge you to update your drives?
Hey! To lock in your machine you must put down a $500 non-refundable deposit, and that locks your spot in line. When I purchased my machine, there was a 4 month waiting period. I have been told that the waiting period is now around 6 months. As for the hard-drive updates, they are absolutely free and you can update it as often as you like for the rest of your life. I am actually updating to the Windows 10 platform on a 10 terabyte hard drive that I will be getting back sometime this week. I will be making an updated review during the month of February to showcase all of the new goodies. I know the waiting period sounds insane, but I can assure you it is the best company in the business and it will be well worth it once you receive your machine. If you do decide to get one, tell David I sent you!
Also, if you don't want to wait 6 months, I believe you can pay an additional amount of money to bump your machine to the front of the list. Just a thought.

What do you use to play games such as outrun? Do you use the joystick, controller or do you have a wheel peripheral?
I prefer to use the joystick, but you can purchase a steering wheel attachment which I have also considered. You can also use your spinner knob to turn left and right if you'd like to put a steering wheel on that. Other options would include using the trackball, but that would be the least intuitive.
Hey, thanks a ton for these videos! It convinced me to dive head first into a MegaCade with all the bells and whistles. I'm originally from the area where EHA is located and decided to drop by their shop to check it out. David and the entire staff are awesome. It just makes the wait that much more difficult.

scantron5k, I think I mentioned it to David but if I didn't I will. You didn't actually queue it up but it was on the main wheel right around the 17:17 mark. I thought it may be intentional due to the urban legends around the game.
@@ryanhorton6065 ahhhh, gotcha. There's a big difference between what the preview video on the menu shows compared to what the game is sometimes. I'll have to check that out! As far as games playing flawlessly, I very rarely come across a ROM that doesn't work the way it should.

Thank you! Honestly, I do not play the Wii-U, so I cannot answer that question. What I can tell you is that it should already have pretty much all of the Wii U games in existence for that particular console.
Can you tell me why you did not get the flight stick added. I'm thinking adding a fight stick to mind. What is your thoughts?
Sure… I'm not a big Tron or flight game guy, and I didn't want to take up the space on my palyfield. It really doesn't get used a lot unless you're HUGE into those types of games. That being said, it may be worth it for you if that is how you roll. For me, it wasn't worth paying for it.

David told me the machines take 5-6 months to make. Currently on my 3rd month. I found a machine called the sumosys that costs $159. Its exactly the same thing. But cheaper. Thinking of backing out of the deal
Yeah, the company is quite busy. However, I can assure you that if you found something for $159, there is no way it even comes close to this machine. I would stick it through and wait! You won't be disappointed.

I think teknoparrot does a bang-up job. That's what a lot of these newer shooters run on.
I can't seem to find a list of games that they have. That said I also don't forsee any that they shouldn't have, lol. Your reviews have been AMAZING for figuring out if this is what I want or not ( so far it is ! ) . I wanna see if it's got things like NBA Jam , NFL Blitz, Tekken ( pretty sure I saw that in your revew anyway), and to see how it plays driving games like say Daytona USA. I really wish they had a way to properly emulate driving games. Not the same playing with the rolly wheel. But can't have em all I say, lol.
I'd be worried about depth perception and input lag for pinball type games. It'd be pretty awesome to see them develop a pinball machine exclusively for this kinda format. That would be an absolute blast.

No problem! And I can tell you that all of the games that you named above are absolutely on this machine. They all play beautifully. You can get a steering wheel and pedal setup for driving games if you'd like to use an actual steering wheel to play them. I didn't opt to buy that because I don't play a ton of drivers, but I find that using the joystick and buttons to play the drivers works quite well. If you go to ExtremeHomeArcades.com, they have a game list that you can use to search for the games that you want. It will tell you if it is on the machine or not. However, they are adding so many games all of the time that I do not think that it is completely up to date. But you can definitely look through everything that they have for the most part!
Oh, and as for the pinball emulator, I find that that is some of my favorite stuff to play. They really have done a bang-up job on the emulation of the pinball tables. And to answer your question above, this same company also makes full emulated pinball machines using a back monitor, and a play field monitor. You can literally play a digital version of almost any pinball table in existence. I believe they call it a Frank 'n Pin. Check out their Facebook page and you can see pictures of them.
Hey scantron, my megacade will be shipping out today. I looked on the website and could not find out if Data East's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pinball is on the machine. Just so you know, if it doesn't include a game that you are looking for you can always email David and request that he find the ROM and add it to the machine. Hey Joseph, I've been running my machine tonight and I can confirm 100%, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by Data East absolutely is on the machine. It is under the future pinball category.

For the "lifetime updates"... How do they supply the update? Is it a download they offer? Or do they send you a new drive? Thanks for looking! Liked the vid! :) Need to buy me one of these!!
In order to get the lifetime updates, you just simply have to take your game drive out of your machine and ship it back to them. They will perform the update and ship it back to you and the entire process takes around 10 days. However, you have the option of purchasing a backup drive, so that you never go without having a playable machine. I myself have two backup drives. If you decide to get a hold of them and put your deposit down, tell David I sent you! He's great to work with!
Love your vids dude. Noticed you have lit up buttons vs concaved HAPP buttons. Whats your thoughts on them? Considering doing unlit buttons because they will feel better, but if you could it over, would you do the lit buttons again?
Hey! Thank you for the props, man. As for the buttons, I owned many arcade machines before I ended up buying my megacade. All of which have the concave buttons on them. I can tell you with one hundred percent honesty, that having the lit buttons affects me in no way. I play many of my favorite old school fighters on this machine and the buttons have never even been a concern for me. As a matter of fact, I really hadn't even noticed that until you just said it! So to answer your question, I would buy the lit buttons a hundred times over again.

Dont get me wrong I love this idea but...your explanation as to the legality is pretty silly. Roms and emulators fall in the legal grey area if you actually own the game or system. I'm pretty sure you cant just bundle and sell other people's intellectual property because its old or no longer for sale. And, isnt that a 1up machine literally right next to the megacade or whatever its called? I would be willing to bet that a sizable portion of 1up machine sales go to the creators of the games, right? How is this any different?
Edit: i noticed your MK is not 1up but my point is still a valid one. The 1up arcade games are bundled by the developers midway, capcom, etc..why didn't 1up just throw all the games together in one cabinet? This would increase their profit margin exponentially on just the packaging cost alone. The reason is because they cannot legally do that without permission from the game developers.
I'm only reiterating what the owner of the company has told me. We all know that these ROMs are available all over the web and can be downloaded for free. It may sound silly, but technically you are not paying for the ROMs when you buy the machine. You're only paying for the hardware.
Don't hate the player, hate the games.
scantron5k all sorts of things are available for free on the web. Replace ROM with anything other form of digitally copyrighted material and maybe you will see my point. Did I also see that this thing had movies on it? Is it legal to sell bootleg movies now because you can find them on the internet? I don’t hate either the player or the game, I’m just a neutral party softly suggesting it would probably be a good idea to be an innocent bystander by staying quiet. Playing stupid doesn’t suit you my friend.

Any audio issues with golden tee fore?
Also can you play blitz, nhl hitz or mlb slugfest with GameCube emulator on the arcade joysticks. I know blitz for sure only requires one thumb stick.
No audio issues that I'm aware of with Golden Tee fore series. I play them all of the time. As for the GameCube, by default they are meant to be played with wireless controllers, but anything can be programmed to be played with the arcade controls.

found a golden tee 2018 motherboard, is that what i need too buy to install on my extreme home arcade?
Unfortunately, no. You will need the full GT kit including computer core (Nighthawk) pcb board and wiring harnesses.
I know you made this two years ago, but what about driving games? My fav is off road and sprint cars. But you need those wheels.
I play plenty of driving games on this machine. I map all of them to the arcade controls. For me personally, it doesn't bother me to play with joystick and buttons as opposed to hooking up an entire steering wheel. But the steering wheel option is there if you want it.

Hey, new games are added pretty much daily/weekly. I prefer to update once every 6 months or so. As long as you have BOTH drives updated together, they will always work great. It's best to buy back up drives to rotate and use one while the other is being updated.

How did you connect the trackball to allow you to use it both off the io board for golden tee and usb for mame? The video doesn't really get into how you wired it exactly. Do you have to switch the trackball connection from the "nighthawk" board to a separate io board with a usb when you want to switch between Incredible Technologies games and Mame games? Love your videos! Your multicade has inspired me to have an all in one system as well. Now I just need to figure how to go from the mame interface to the i.t. interface seamlessly without switching controls over when I want to go between systems. Thanks again for any info you can pass on!
Hey dude, great question. I've been meaning to cover this in a more in-depth video. To keep it simple, all I did was tap into the existing trackball cables on my megacade using the Nighthawk wiring harness cables intended for the trackball connection. No switcher is used. Essentially, the trackball controls the Nighthawk while you are playing the megacade, but it can't harm anything. I typically just pause the megacade and hit video input 2 to play my Nighthawk games.

There are many others in arcade groups that I have reached out to that would also love to see how you did this as well. Every group I asked no one thought this was possible. I appreciate what you do! Your arcade has definitely set the bar and something I strive to achieve as I better my setup.
Does the split off the nighthawk harness go to a seperate io board that converts to usb? Not sure how you would convert to usb from the split. What product did you use from the split to get it into usb form?
@@darken8405 so I used the wiring harness that connects directly to be Golden Tee IO board. On the end of the harness are many clips that you can use for your buttons, as well as the trackball. All I did was use the cables intended for the trackball and tapped into the existing trackball wires that are there. There is a 3-inch Happ trackball in my megacade which is the default track balls used on all Golden Tee machines.
Awesome that you made another Video! I Ordered my Megacade back in September. It will hopefully finally Shipped in end February. What i can say about Extreme Home Arcades is that their Customer Support is really incredible! I asked Dave over 100 Questions regarding almost everything and he answered me every Single one. Put i have a Question for you :) You said in your Video that all the New Games are in the Main Hyperspin Wheel. (Which i dont really like, i like everything perfectly Sorted and organized). Is it easy to put these games into already set Up Wheels ? For example put games like Dead Island or NBA 2016 Into the PC Games Wheel ? Maybe you can help me out with that when i get my Machine!

Hey man, thanks for the comment and I'm super stoked for you to get your machine! You will absolutely love it! As far as organizing new games on the main wheel, I'm sure there is a way to do it. However, things are usually categorized based on the system, the developer, or the console. The new games that are being added are sporadic and all across the board. I don't personally try to categorize them, but you may be able to have that question answered by David or Steve.
As for removing the Playfield in order to get it through a door, I have not personally had to do that. I have a double front door that opens up quite wide and I was able to move it in all in one piece. I more than likely will not spend the time to remove the play field and create a video for it because it is extremely easy to do. Once you get your machine, you will see exactly what I mean. All you have to do is remove a couple of screws and unplug a USB hub, and that is it. Easy peasy.

@@rafaelhyperspinthemecreato8442 sure thing. There is probably about four or five unused USB ports as well as 3 HDMI inputs. You can always add USB hubs to increase the amount of USB ports that you need.
The main list of systems (main wheel) can be organized but you have to edit the "Main Menu.xml" This is not hard but it must be correct or the system will not show anything but an error. Best to always make a backup of your "Main Menu.xml"

They are all still there. All they do is add new ones. You never lose all of the old games it just constantly gets bigger.
This is a pretty sick machine. I've looked around the website for who made this but didn't see an option for an animated marquee, do you think it's something you could add in yourself or that they might support it in the future?

As of right now, yes. Incredible Technologies still currently uses all of the versions of the game from 2007 until present day. When they retire this version of Golden Tee and start with something new, there may be an option to have it added to the megacade systems but until that happens, this is the only way.

Hey scantron, why do you like your buttons laid out like that on your set up? I’m thinking about doing the same for my arcade.
Mainly because I like the standard 6-button layout with the "thumb" buttons. Kinda like the Mortal Kombat run button. Makes for simple gaming.
Is it possible to pair a guitar controller for the guitar hero games? If so, how would you go about it?
I'm sure that it is quite possible. There are multiple USB plugs inside the machine. You can also mount an additional USB hub on the outside of the machine as well. If the guitar has a USB plug, simply plug it in and it should be compatible with the game you're using it for. If it's wireless, just plug the receiver dongle into the USB hub and go that route. There may be some sort of configuration that the owner, Dave can help you with. Either way, these machines are capable of a multitude of additional parts and features.
I was told that if you order the guns for the arcade the USB ports double as ports for the guitar for Guitar Hero games. I spoke to David and he responds very quickly.
@@TitoCapoTito956 yes, that is true. However, I like to have my guns plugged in constantly and not have to switch USB inputs and reboot. I prefer to have an additional USB hub mounted on the underside of the Playfield. You cannot see it, but it makes it very practical to plug in accessories.

scantron5k Yeah I called them to question them about a estimate for a 32 inch bar top & never got a reply either but they are probably busting their balls working to fulfill orders. On their site I saw they want around $3,000 for a table top. I’m assuming bar tops and table tops are the same. That’s way over priced in my opinion so now I’m just seeing if they sell just the hard drive and boot drive by themselves.

What kind of skins do they have for the machine? I've seen a lot of awesome pictures on their site, and I'd like to know how you go about selecting what you want. Do they do custom art, or just a bunch of pre-sets?
The skins are infinite. You can choose something that they've already created, or you can have custom artwork made to your liking. Literally anything you want can be put on your machine.

Very interested in how you added the Golden Tee 2018 to your system. You seem very tech savvy and I’m pretty novice to above novice when it comes to the inner workings of a computer. On a scale of 1-10 how difficult would it be for me to add the golden tee nighthawk to my pedestal system? Would you recommend me purchasing the nighthawk and hiring a gaming wizard to install it to not risk damage to the machine. Last question... how many hours did it take you to install you golden tee? Honestly, my video may make me seem savvier than I am LOL. I just like to Tinker with things and figure them out, which is what I did with the Golden Tee Nighthawk. It probably took me an entire afternoon to get it done, but my suggestion would be, buy the cheapest Golden Tee pedestal stand you can find, and just take the guts out of it and install it in your extreme home arcades pedestal stand. All you have to do, is make a note of the wiring harness that comes off the Golden Tee buttons, label them accordingly so you know which button does what, and then hook it up to the underside of your Playfield by jumping off of the buttons that are already there. Same goes for the trackball controls. If you find yourself stuck, you may be able to hire someone to help you, but it's really not that difficult at all. You can plug the Golden Tee Nighthawk into the power strip inside of your pedestal. It will power up Golden Tee when you turn on your system and power it down when you shut it off as well. Super easy to do.

I know Dave has the older version of Golden Tee on the machine but if I buy a machine that old that has those games are you able to update them and convert them to a 2019 machine? I was under the impression that you buy the guts of the newer Golden Tee and since you have an existing cabinet with a track ball you just tap into that live your video shows? @@rhino2005 hey man, yes, you need to buy a newer version of Golden Tee. If you buy a version of Golden Tee that is at least 2007 or newer, it will have the Nighthawk computer system in it. I would try to buy one that has the newest update, at least 2018. You can buy update kits every year from Incredible Technologies and/or eBay and places like that. So to recap, buy a Golden Tee machine that is older, and update it yourself, or buy a newer Golden Tee kit that already has the 2018 or 2019 update, and install that in your machine. Either way, if you want to update each year, you will have to pay for an update Kit. I believe they are around $500.
Hi, can you please help me to calibrate my gun light arcade? I been having problems with that, thank you.
Sure, load up one of the older Buck Hunter games at the top of the main wheel. Aim the gun at your screen, and long press the button on the right side of the gun for 5 seconds, this will enter into calibration mode. Next, aim your gun at the three spots on the screen that it tells you to aim it to, and squeeze the trigger. Once you calibrate all three spots, you are good to go! You should rarely ever have to do this.
How to up data all new games
Assuming you're asking how to update the machine. You just send in your 10tb game drive whenever you feel like updating.
How would you rate the overall build of your machine? Do you feel it is robust, durable (joysticks, buttons, cabinet)? Will last a long time with lots of use?
Great question. To keep it short, I have owned about 17 full-size coin-op arcade game cabinets in my lifetime. The build of this machine, holds up to the highest standard of a cabinet that I have ever owned. As you can see in my video, I have a Mortal Kombat II cabinet sitting right next to my machine. The Mortal Kombat cabinets were some of the strongest most durable arcade cabinets built. I would put my Megacade up against that any day of the week. They really do a fabulous job on these machines. If you're questioning if it's worth it, it is.

There is one other guy on TH-cam, I believe his name is lethal gaming, and his reviews helped me a lot. I dug up any research I could online as well. Plus, David's superb customer service help to sell me as well. I couldn't be happier with my machine.

@@kuzushisakuraba2719 it has Time Crisis on it. Plays like a charm! You have to remember, these machines are meant to bring you mostly classic and arcade type stuff. The games that you're talking about are still being used in arcades to this day and are quite new. Whenever these types of games are added to the machine, it's just an added bonus! But that doesn't mean that they won't be added.

How do you get updates? Is it connected to the internet and downloaded directly to the machine or do you have install something physically?
There is an 8 terabyte gaming hard drive in the machine. In order to update it with new games, which is completely optional, you have to physically take it out and mail it back to the company. They update it and have it turned around and sent back to you within a week. I actually own two hard drives so that whenever I send one in for an update, I have a backup one to use in my machine while it's out. It's literally only one clip to unplug it, super easy to get to.

@@Gohan921 lol, I would definitely make the trip, especially if you could check it out before you order or even pick up your own machine when it's done. Honestly, the only space that's used on these hard drives is for the amount of games that the company puts on them. I haven't gone in to the backend to see how much has been used, but the owner is very Savvy about making sure that is machines run flawlessly and if need be, they would increase the size of the hard drive. I believe a couple of years ago they were using 6 terabyte drives, now they are using 8 terabyte drives.

Unfortunately I wouldn't have the slightest idea of where to get this hard drive other than from extreme home arcades. However, I doubt that the owner would just sell the hard drive without running it on his hardware. You can always ask! Best of luck.

You throw down a $500 non-refundable down payment to start your machine and the waiting period. Once it's finished, they send you extensive pictures and then you pay the remaining balance before it ships. You can also pay incrementally throughout the waiting period to lessen the blow if you want lol. They will reach out to you for several things throughout the process as well… artwork, bells and whistles, etc.

Yes, absolutely. There is a cheat menu for every single game in the arcade category. Any code for Sega or NES, Etc, will work when you are playing the console ROMs as well.

No, the new games are only added to the gaming hard drive if I decide to remove it from the machine and ship it to the company. They manually update it there, and then send it back to me. Free updates for life.

I'm quite sure that as far as games, etc, it's all the same. You will just be losing out on the full arcade cabinet filled with the 50 inch monitor. I believe some of the other accessories may be harder to use with the pedestal as opposed to the Megacade.

@@dominiquehutchison6030 Sure, NBA Jam and NBA Hangtime play flawlessly. My son and I play it all of the time. You can play 4 players as well. As for NFL Blitz, I'm not a football fan so I've never played it. However, I have played plenty of newer games around the year 2000 that offer the same 3D graphics. All of them play perfectly.
@@dominiquehutchison6030 as far as the flight stick goes, I believe you can play games like Tron and whatnot with it. A lot of people really like this accessory, I just don't play those types of games so I didn't see it being worth the extra money to have that accessory installed. However, I can definitely tell you that if you go with the Megacade, you will get the full arcade feel with premium sound and video quality in an upright cabinet. You cannot go wrong. If you have room for the Megacade, I say go with that option. If you only have room for a pedestal, then go that direction.
