What is the difference in specs? eg, the Eaton 5E Gen 2 Tower UPS, 700VA / 360W, 2 ANZ Outlets - VS - Eaton 5E Gen 2 Tower UPS, 2200VA / 1200W, 3 ANZ Outlets - I know the voltage is different but what does that mean as far as what can be plugged into it?
Thank you for the video, but... No mention of linked software to shut down computer gracefully when UPS will run out of juice if longer thatn expected power outage, and thus act same as a regular power outage with what is plugged in ? How come ? Thank you fpr any enlightment if you have the time...
We're usually here, if the power fails we can shut down things manually, so that problem doesn't really arise. If it does go off while we're out, it will keep the router and phone system going for a couple of hours, if it's longer than that then they'll shut down, but they'll reboot when the power comes back on.
I got myself a 9E 1000 because winter is coming, and with it power outages. I wanted to ensure perfect stability and quality so got a double conversion one. Never knew home voltage so easily fluctuates by +- 10V while Freq is only by 0.1 Software is good.
I bought one of their UPS's and just over a year later one of the batteries faulted and bulged out. I contacted PB Tech here in NZ where I bought the UPS, who contacted their supplier. The upshot is they wouldn't replace the faulty battery because it was out of warranty by a couple of months. Poor product and poor service.
I've been trying for 4 weeks to have someone acknowledge a parts quote request for our UPS that failed. If someone at Eaton reads this, can you please reply with an email address of someone who will actually get back to me? Your website directed me to another person, and their email address listed on the site is bad, got an undeliverable email response from your server. I NEED TO ORDER THESE PARTS! MY BOSSES KEEP ASKING! THIS IS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
