Red light is sexy and all, but if you dig deeper into it, it is essentially a story of one person being obsessed with the other side to the point where they are already choking, which explains the chain. A red light that tells us that the sign must stop before we are consumed with emotion. It also shows that relying too much on the other side can kill you. "I can't breathe if you're around." It talks about a person's struggle with himself. Here Hyunjin and Bang Chan play the role of each other's bad sides.

I take it as being "obsessed", an obsession and how it affects you...not necessarily being obsessed with someone but an obsession to something or a habit or whatever it may be.

The song is about Chan and Hyunjin's obsession with work. like even if they are suppose to be on a break, they still find themselves constantly pushing, doing more even if they don't need to.
That is what i love about skz lyrics. It opens to interpretation and its like a conversation. Personally I love their silent cry and the new song scars because it totally represent an important stage in my life.
Love the clap at the end. Yes, it’s so artistic both Chan and Hyunjin wrote it together. Yes, story threw it all. Love it.
The literal translation of the korean title is compulsion and they made the song saying it's about obsession and fighting with the other side of you so they used the chains to portray the obsession and used the black and white outfits to show both sides of themselves and both of them represents each other's other side. It's actually a really deep song even tho they explained the meaning behind it but there are a lot of parts that require a lot of thinking and leaves the mind open for a lot of explanations

Stray Kids favorite song: Back Door. This song though is special because it's just Hyunjin and Chan together. They made a beautiful song!
If you want to know more about the process of making this song, you can watch "Howl in harmony". Chan and Hyunjin brainstorm about what to write and they have pretty interesting ideas and insights that, after watching the MV, you´ll understand better. On the other hand, I have a lot of favorite songs, but nobody almost never mention Chronosaurus and Maze of memories, and I love them!!! Boxer, Top and N/S are great too. I always wait for your reactions on Stray Kids, I like them a lot!!!
6:30 "It was like this was a nightmare, in a sense, visually..." My favorite and personal interpretation of Red Lights & the MV is that of struggling with sleeping disorders like insomnia, stress dreams, and sleep paralysis. Bang Chan has talked about his insomnia before and he's also described in a vlive how he recently tried to go to sleep early around 10pm, but ended up having nightmares and actually falling into real sleep around 1am. He said that he would start to drift off and then start thinking about "scary stuff" (I'm rewatching the clip right now) and realized he was about to fall into a nightmare and would force himself back awake. Essentially, fighting against stress dreams/nightmares for literal hours before actually falling asleep. Then, in Hyunjin's case, he is a very deep sleeper and has talked about an experience in which he had sleep paralysis and saw a demon walk out of his closet and stand over him--kind of like how Chan stands over him on the bed in this video.
Everything about this video feels like a stress dream/nightmare or sleep paralysis experience to me. The chains, the confinement, the haziness and the looming presence while you're trapped on your bed unable to move. The anxiety of it all. It's a bit "Bury A Friend" by Billie Eilish, but not as violent. Chan's also a workaholic and the lines, "No matter how hard I try to run away, set the mic up / until the moon falls asleep, even deeper" makes me think of him spending late night hours in his studio, working and recording guides and not sleeping.
Favorite SKZ song is so hard, it’s like I have a memory of of each song and at what point they impacted me, each one for different reasons. SKZis my últ Kpop group and it will always be all members are so unique in so many ways. Silent Cry has been one of my favorites lately.
The irony in the fact that it is about themselves being obsessed with work but the red string of fate in a superstition similar to soulmates and them being wrapped around their arms gets me every time simply because that is based on lovers being reunited and being together forever.
As for my favorite song it has to be between Thunderous, God's Menu, Back Door, and Red Lights. I also like one of the songs that has their old member Woojin in it which is called 4419 Bang Chan wrote that song for one of his old friend's from another KPop group named BamBam.
This was actually my introduction to Stray Kids. Everything about it is a masterpiece. One of my top 5 Skz songs still. I watch it everyday, lol.
Domino or Easy are tied as my favorite, but really enjoying Scars rn too 💜

I said all that in the previous comment but what I really was meaning to get at is this song & MV is A.R.T. Thank you for acknowledging this masterpiece. Now I have to acknowledge it took a minute to get past the original shock because Bang Chan the back and the cake, and them thighs 😮😮 in my mind he became Back Bang after 150 watches....😂 it did take me a bit to watch without blushing but honestly when Bang Chan goes away and Christopher comes out to play this is what you get ❤💥💥

Knowing stray kids they’ve always made songs that makes people think and unfortunately most TH-camrs that watch this first instead of the lyric video they tend to think it’s about a gay or kinky couple and I’m pretty sure it because they’re not familiar with their music. I’ve watched a bunch of reactions to this and the thing I like about this channel is they do their homework and ask about the meanings or at least keep an open mind when it comes to the double meanings in K-pop music. It’s not like American artist where you know for sure this song is about one thing and that thing only. I appreciate Stray kids music because you can interpret it in anyway and it’s highly relatable.
for me it felt more like a vampiric realationship, but it is kind of love and hate realation between these two, i'm inlove with this song, the choreography is awsome

For NoEasy, they boys broke into 3 subunits. The other two songs are very different. Surfing’ (Felix, Lee Know, and Changbin) is a fun, bubbly summer song. Gone Away (Suengmin, Han, and I.N) is a heartbreaking ballad with amazing vocals.
Sooo hard to pick a favorite…probably N/S (I can’t remember if you’ve reacted to it. It’s a street version video). Side Effects and Easy are right up there.
