I think one of the absolute best things this game does are the super subtle scares. There's nothing more creepy and uneasy than second guessing yourself on whether or not you really saw that shadowy figure slip back out of sight around the corner.
I would agree if the game didn't play piano sounds or soft 'jumpscare' sounds. I walked by the bathroom and saw a woman walk past the door, 2 hours in and it gave me a genuine spook, but then it played the low pitched piano sound and that killed it.
especially at 1:03:18 how right after say all that stuff about the safety bubble all though he missed it well playing there was the girl under the desk

That under the desk moment was so fucking good, made my hair stand up. I love how some of the scares don’t announce themselves, you either see it or your don’t.

I genuinely don't think I'll ever watch a better playthrough of this game than this one.
From the overanalysis of the reception room leading to him being jumpscared by the presence of the boss, to catching on right away that he needed to run away from the ghost girl.

Wow, who would’ve thought that running away from an enemy in a horror game where you have absolutely no way of fighting was a big brain move? And that completely missing the entire Demonic Tenancy page and being annoyed when he got it wrong was genius?

Not gonna lie, the fact he missed that under the desk made it a lot scarier to me, like it was even more underplayed than the game wanted it to be originally
I was hoping it would come across that way. I only saw it in editing and wanted to point it out, and I thought the silent slow zoom-in was pretty unnerving, so I left it like that.

Your* basically you're is a contraction of "you" and "are" im not trying to be rude or anything but i think it might be helpful to know that in the future, but yeah, I totally agree with you.
If you interact with certain items as soon as a scare happens it will bug the game out. That's why when the body pointed down the hallway you couldn't do anything because the game still had the body in the animation of the scare but the trigger to return the body to it's normal state was never triggered. Since an item or the computer in this since was interacted with as soon as the scare started it despawned the area in which the scare took place, therefore not allowing you to hit the trigger. There is a second bug that can happen where the body contorts like it did at the end of the video but for some reason the game can bug out. You was meant to get the possessed ending after that. Hence why you couldn't interact with the body anymore. Some videos that I've seen that happen most of the time you will get the possessed ending but other times it will bug out I'm not sure what causes that one. Might have been because of putting the body back in with the mark still on but I'm not 100% sure on that.
I believe that the body assumes your in the main room with the pump because if I remember correctly that animation that it contorts in is another scare trigger pointing you in the direction of the main room. Just a theory though.
That would make sense. In the second part (coming tomorrow), the same animation triggered, but this time it led to a scare that involved a change to the space. That change didn't happen here, so there was no way to finish the event.

Didn't even realize this was being made into a full game, but seeing from the demo, I am really excited to see this
from how many times they've re-released the demo I'm kind of amazed that there even is any more game at this point, this game doesn't even resemble the first demo and I really hope the developer *STOPS REMAKING THE ENTIRE GAME* and just makes the game already.

So, the way that the cavity embalming works: first, the trocar is used to pierce the organs in the cavities, while also using it to suck out any of the fluids in said organs. While you are using the trocar to stick around and suck out fluids, we are also using the trocar to create channels through all of the organs. After that, we use the trocar to put cavity fluids into the body, and it flows through all of the channels and into all of the organs in the body.
Does this process happen if the remains are going to be cremated?
Holy shit, conflating the tools used in an autopsy (needles, tubing) with the “tools” used for injecting hard drugs (needles, tubing) is genius and I didn’t see it coming.
The mom and drug den hallucinations are fantastic. Watched some other channel’s edited gameplay and didn’t see either of those. Kind of glad I didn’t, getting to experience them alongside Librarian is great.
I laughed way too hard at the spooky presence under the desk that appeared right after he explained why he felt safe in that area.
With my main PC currently fried and awaiting new parts, I really appreciate these uploads. Next best thing to playing the games myself, and your commentary is certainly better than the usual TH-cam fake-reaction tripe.

Just a tip in case you haven't seen it, but make sure to sometimes look up while you're wheeling a corpse into the embalming room.

yes I like this about Librarian too, that he's basically calm but also capable of being spooked and doesn't hide his reaction or exaggerate it either. I appreciate that he doesn't feel like he's "above" getting scared or anything

this is honestly one of my favorite horror games, its just so good at both subtle scares and big scares, it also includes the fear of alot of different things to relating with death, thanks for playing it and explaining alot of the scares in the game

For the first time in a long time, I'm actually excited for the next video about this, normally I'll see a video about a game that needs multiple parts and not be excited for the next one, but the commentary along with the game itself got me hooked and now I really want to see how this all ends

Horror and comedy are both about subverting expectations. "Workplace Horror" sets up a lot of very strong expectations, by its nature, which makes for some fantastic horror (and comedy!)
This game is beyond horrifying and I couldn’t ask for a better TH-camr to cover it. Easily the best horror channel on the platform ❤️🤙

I feel like it was the second body, there seemed to be two distinct events related to it after the initial embalming and inspection.

I'm re-watching early "FBI Horror" episodes. This is somehow right in line. I totally got jump scared by an ad break, LOL
Idk how. The game mentioned anyone who watches this can experience paranormal activity. This isn't a joke. I was in a middle of watching this episode, and something started scratching on my window outside (I live on 2nd floor) and it vanished every time I looked in it's direction. After that door to my room started to shake from hall's side from time to time. After all of this I closed the video and went to sleep with lights on. And then I had a sleep paralysis... Idk why this happened. It's possible that I called all this things by myself but I'm scared to this day. Maybe it's a mistake, but now, after several days I'm back. I'm here because of my anxiousity of course, but also because I love Librarian's takes on games and commentary. This comment may be only for me, but anyone who read that should know I'll give updates in comments if anything more happens. Have a good night/day reader

this game completely changes literally every time I see it, you used to get a phonecall from the boss in your apartment and before that you just had notes and you were already in the office and now there's a diner scene? they keep changing the inventory hud. I really can't help but think the developer needs to figure out what they want and stick to it, this is a comical number of changes now. completely ludicrous but the game is still great. edit: after watching further i see what the developer has done, and it makes a lot of sense now, this is a great game.

I was just thinking about how much I want to see this game in VR when you said it would be the perfect candidate for VR. I’m kind of obsessed with the idea of putting more games into VR (I think Condemned in VR would be fantastic) though so I almost didn’t make this comment.
But damn, I’m VR I can just imagine being frozen with fear when the sounds kick in.

Finally a cool playthrough of this game, most horror youtubers don't do a fraction of such a good job as you do in all your videos. I'd like to suggest you to check out Autopsy Simulator on Steam, it's not out yet but it'll be mainly focused on a job simulation with horror elements which seem to be more subtle than just a horror story. Nonetheless a very good video.

If you ever go to a real morgue, or medical school lab, its not really scary. I figured it would be, but I just felt sad. Not scared or horrified, just sad.
it's the smell that does it, I think. the intense smell of chemicals on the air and the ambient quiet just completely take over any empty space you may have in mind
I've dealt and worked with cadavers during a college course Anatomy & Physiology class. It was an extremely rewarding and humbling experience. Definitely makes you think about the mortality and fragility of human life. To think a person agreed to donating their bodies to science is something. The smell, the cold, and the sheer disbelief of knowing that this body used to be alive (as my professor cut away and revealed different organs, etc) is a new feeling to take in and comprehend.
