Yooo!! Appreciate this video G! Had to subscribe! Quick question though, would you create a aux send for the metaflanger plugin or would you put it directly on a mono vox track
how a tracking template works? if i recorded completely dry and clean, and added the same effects from the tracking templates/presets later after recording, i think the vocals would sound the same, it's like the pre-mixing stage, lowkey mixing still, but something that prepares the vocals for the final mix, so we can have an idea where it leads the direction of the sound for the final mix, easier and faster that way, right? + i don't see a big point in printing just for confidence, if you can just monitor it and have more headroom in case the compression sounds bad. also, there are a lot of leaked studio sessions from juice wrld (like 30-40), do you think maxlord also uses printing templates through plugins? cuz lol, if so, then it means these studio sessions aren't really raw
If you’re in a studio with gear it’s not raw..if you print through plugins it’s not raw. Pros aren’t mixing “raw” vocals they’re mixing vocals that sound good before they start
You need to get used to it. I don’t know anyone who records with it muted and I know a lot of industry engineers and work with artists. You hear yourself to make sure your levels are consistent
Hope you are well - noticed you were using AutoTune Hybrid - specifically for Pro Tool but I haven’t seen you use an HDX or Carbon interface - are utilizing DSP or just running it more native? Thanks for the video as always!
Hey man. Thanks for showing this. I was wondering if you’ve taken a look at pro tools artist subscription and if it’s enough for recording, mixing and mastering. I’ve been reading on it and it seems it has limited advanced automations. Would this be a problem for the mentioned use cases? I wanted to get your input before committing Thanks again
been in a constant spike of watching vids for the past 4 years of mixing and i was over complicating it sm 😂. i finally learned how to properly compress and record good raw vocals and my shits never sounded better.

can the century tube channel strip from UA be used as a mic preamp to print thru? Got it aas a bundle with my volt 1
It has a mic pre . It’s a full channel strip
Please we need a Juice Wrld session breakdown ‼️
Great video! How can I make tracks stereo or mono in FL, is there an option for that ?
Bro and how do you export it individually to send to the mixing engineer with effects? It only asks me for stems
I miss the “Ight let’s get it”
bring it back ?
If you print, with auto tune, that means you can’t playback your vocals without it?
So applying something like melodyne after printing is impossible?
You can use Melodyne still
@ aiit, thanks

When you click the "pre" button this is sending the vocals pre-fx (say we're running UAD Neve 1073)? Does this apply to mixing too?
Has nothing to do with the plugins on the track but it’s for the sends fx and it’s for mixing as well but I prep for it in the tracking stage
Another oneee! Always on point w your vids! Hook us up with another one but for logic pro
it's on the list fam, i got ya'll

she's a beauty
Aye Bro, do you recording while hearing your own voice, so you "need" to get used to it, or do you mute it until you recorded and playing it after?
You need to get used to it. I don’t know anyone who records with it muted and I know a lot of industry engineers and work with artists. You hear yourself to make sure your levels are consistent

Yeah I don’t have the hdx or carbon. It’s just native. I always forget about it being a pro tools only thing
When I set up my recording through an aux I be having latency 🤦🏾♂️

@@SKYJORDXN W, thank you
If your using an Apollo there really no reason for the print track right? Since your already printing from Apollo (if your in record mode ofc)
I’m not using my Apollo console. But you’re right
I get my templates from watching u and I just remake them, never paid for a template why wen they are free🤷🏾♂️
