Ha, ha, ha... I think they represent bags of money or, who knows, maybe how blind society is. What is certain, you have experienced it, the difficulty for musicians that this entails.

Fine reaction 😀 Out of order is fine for Money Games, but not Jenny and Screech. The tale of Jenny and Screech is a trilogy (that includes Violets Tale) really needs to be in order.

The 3 Money Game lessons are standalone. They are just at different scales.
This one shines a spotlight on a hypothetical person shaped and trapped by the money game, while the first instalment deals with the general topic and our place and complicity within the money game.
The second instalment is a focus on the mechanics of the money game.

You gave an explanation to the "chasing the dragon", but there's a line just before "heating up a SILVER SPOON".
Jimmy was born with such gifts (brains and wealthy parents), and he using the "Silver Spoon" he was born with to self-destruct.

If you liked this storytelling style, you'll LOVE "The Tale of Jenny and Screech". It's also a popular one for reaction channels. Since you're a therapist, I know you'll appreciate his songs that deal with mental health. To name a few favorites:
    How to Be Me (live)
    Chalk Outlines (live)
    Suicide
    Crutch
    Depression
    Dominoes

Really like your point about being taught numbers instead of emotional intelligence in school. Education is our greatest strength but there's a glaring lack of emotional intelligence education.
We have the resources to meet the basic needs plus educate every human on this planet, which would incalculably improve every negative variable we are currently facing as a species.
Nurturing every human mind, creating a world for each one to thrive in it's own way seems like an objectively solid baseline worldview for humanity to share.
Ren and reactions like yours paint a clear picture for a better future that we all yearn for, within reach for future generations, if we can just get our collective shit together. Muchas g 🤙

There is an enormous differance between education and training. Jimmy didn't have the the benefit of education ,he was trained to have only on criteria for success, money .
The money game songs stand alone but do connect with each other . M.Game 1 is an overall and historic view of the game . M.G.2 is a display of the workings and pathways of the game . M.G.3 shows the personal cost of winning if money is our only criteria for success. All of the Money game songs are worth listening to and there are recurring themes musically and visually that run from 1 to 3
    Thank you great reaction

Really appreciate the verbalization of themes. A lot of rxers have "got" the message, but didnt talk about it with this level of pith and accuracy. Your analysis is easily on the same level of rxers as Knox Hill for lyrics/bars, and TCV, Ken Lavigne, or Julia Nilon for singing technique, Chase Carneson for musical breakdown

As a psychoanalyst there is so much to get stuck into through Ren’s music, I would recommend Chalk Outlines (Live) about the effects of over medication and then maybe Penitence, a deep and painful song about a relationship break up.

Excellent analysis; I particularly find "Money game 1" more impressive with a super reduced budget, comparing it with the 3rd part; which is still a masterpiece due to the coordination, Ren's interpretation and all the musical aspects: As a melody, arrangements (Including the wonderful string quartet).
There is still a lot to unpack...be patient to savor different surprises and musical styles.

Most are oblivious to the fact they they are contributors to this 'Game'! EVERY time we lie or cheat we are 'manipulating' others to 'our' advantage! Ironically humans would rather keep doing the wrong thing than accept they were doing so and change it! True and meaningful introspection is incredibly hard and often painful and thus why so many avoid it like a plaque! We can either use what capabilities we have to help or harm. And we should ALWAYS check ourselves because even 'Good Intentions' are not in of themselves any guarantee of our 'solutions' making things better! We can STILL make things worse unintentionally! As the saying goes "The Road to Hell is paved with Good Intentions".
The Change HAS to start with us (like Michael said "The Man in the Mirror"). Things will NEVER change whilst we wait for others to do it!

I was really hoping you'd address the pulling of the trigger at the end and what he was saying there from a psychoanalytical perspective. Is it just Jimmy's end and a warning to us all? Is it Ren's "solution" to the problem? I don't think so. Is it death of self? Breaking the cycle? I have ideas but I'd love to hear yours.
