This one is very excellent. I used to watch it under its U.S. title namely The Unbeatable Dragon c/o World Northal Pictures Distribution on NYC's original 40 Doo Wop during the 80's.

It claims everything is true, real, authentic -- yes, most of these guys in the movie may truly be trained and are monks before movie stars -- but obviously, a few of the things and moves in here are choreographed and exaggerated with special effects (much of which looks very good for 1978, and precede much of what modern kung fu movies still use, it makes me wonder if action choreographer/fight coordinator Yuen Woo-ping is involved) -- and also the styles (and hair) look more southern than northern (Shaolin) -- could it be because the 70's kung fu movie craze was mostly southern (Hong Kong) people (Shaw Brothers) mimicking and exaggerating the true northern Shaolin? I see a lot of Wing Chun too (the dummies). Or perhaps this is all Southern Shaolin style?? I'm just wondering if the exaggerated, fantasy moves parts of this film are a romanticizing of how they would really like to be..... and makes me wonder, question the authenticity of how many of these actors are truly Shaolin or even kung fu trained, and how many are just mocking/mimicking the moves for each take or scene?? Quite easy to do -- e.g., you see Zhang Ziyi, the female movie star from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and The Grandmaster, do it, an she's not formally trained.. only faking it during short film takes and cuts.

Please drop a line and tell me what you think about this movie (or the trailer).
This was one of the first Shaw Brothers films I got to know about from watching the trailer so it has some sentimental value to me. A good movie.

To me it’s a top 5 venom movie. It’s got a great story line, good pace, and Lu feng knocks it out the park as usual
MY reason tho, is because I love Wei pei and he’s only in a few movies, to me a venom movie with the snake is usually good.
This, ten tigers, 5 venoms, kid with golden arms…. All have wei pei…. Just a lil side note.
Love your channel and respect what you do
