Yes it probably will fix it, but what led to the steering light warning coming on? Getting to know what led to the fault will likely pinpoint the issue.
I have similar issue, it talks to module, but it constantly shows angle of 0 degrees, no matter the position of the wheel. I will change it once it arrives and hopefully it will fix the issue
Mine had the same issue and it would say "not initialized", tried to calibrate it with VCDS but it just showed 0,00° and I just decided to just change it and it worked.
No this will not fix it, the only helps for steering assist. The buttons not work is probably caused by the clock spring. Replace it then I'm certain the buttons will work if it's the issue.
@@MegatronicsZA I am trying to figure out what it is because I don’t have an airbag light on, and when I connect the scanner it says steering angle sensor bad. Should I replace it as well?
Try using a mirror, selfie camera to look in the hole where you need to put in the screwdriver and push it in the swerve it to the side it'll then pop out
It can be for many things, it could also be for when your steering is out by some degrees, it could also be for when your have maybe a faulty clock spring.
Hi I have almost the same problem as you but I don't think it's the same solution, I'll explain it to you unintentionally when changing the rack I lost track of the steering wheel so I I accidentally turned the steering wheel to the maximum and I must have exceeded the limit it will make a click and since then I have this error message what do you think?
@@kastromario8514 oh that means your clock spring is out of the range that it's expected to be on. So if you have continuously turned the steering wheel then you probably might have broken the clock spring. To fix it you need to plug in the OBD Scanner and read the degrees it's on, the adjust as required.
@kastromario8514 it's broken, it will no longer work. You need to replace it. May I please ask you to kindly subscribe to the channel if you haven't done so already? Thanks
Man, this was a PERFECT tutorial. I got mine done in no time. Thanks for making this, I’d have never figured it out myself.
I'm glad you found this video helpful man, I'm glad it worked for you too.
Great video, I'm having the same issue with the angle sensor. I will try to calibrate it and then give feedback.
Okay thank you, please do let me know if it works
My steering wheel is stiff an shows the light too will it fix the stiffness after i change this part?

Where do you buy sensor in the US.
I'm not sure in the US, I'm in South Africa.

Will this fix that buttons on the steering wheel not working and the horn ?

@@youngarch1811 yes you can replace it since the scanner says the steering angle sensor is faulty.

Is this only if your steering wheel can't turn both left or right
