My parents both are/were huge ABBA fans, so I grew up listening to their songs. Both their new songs are like a huge hug from an old friend. Such a comforting and familiar sound, and I love it! Brings back childhood memories
Hi, I’m 65, and have heard all the old ABBA Numbers from 1972 and up, when they were all brandnew. Now we are common about experiencing a new number from the same band with the same members at the same time...a gap over 3 generations...that’s new i the history of music, I think.
I'm SO HAPPY that they are back!! I have heard a couple of their new songs & just LOVE them!! I was 17 when they came out first, The Eurovision Song Contest, in the 70's. It's from there they became famous which is FANTASTIC.Their new songs are just beautiful as always. xx
Thanks for the reaction. What a beautiful Frid lead ABBA song. The young Frida singing at the end is her virtual ABBA-TAR. Make sure to react to the Agnetha "Don't Shut Me Down" song too. Gotta show both the girls our love.
The second song "Don't Shut Me Down" is my favourite of the two songs released so far. Have you heard it yet? I will definitely get the album in November. I think what we're seeing at the end of the video is a preview of the concert, which features digital versions of themselves made to look how they did in their prime. The technology is incredible.
Hoping for a reaction there too :)) That one is more of an energetic dance track, where as this is more the sweeping ballad. I'm hoping everyone that can afford it and likes ABBA, or these two songs does preorder the album (there's more expensive hard copy versions, or the much cheaper digital). It would be cool to see a new ABBA album (their 9th!) top the charts!
It's powerful, emotional and definitely pulls on the heart strings. Frida's vocals are top notch on this, as are the harmoneys on the chorus. It's like, they never went away. That indeed is a sign of a truly great band. Long live ABBA !!!
💜💜💜. Bjorn: "lol... "There's an old saying in the music industry, "You should never go more than 40 years between albums". I'm hoping to go see them in"concert" in Abba Arena, London, 2022... Thank you for sharing!!! The ever-incredible ABBA!!

I love how so many people haven't even realized that the live concert footage at the end is brand new motion capture performance of ABBA now, but de-aged to show them as digital avatars in the prime of their youth. I think that shows the technology is a success as many haven't even noticed!
I thought everyone knew this? Although the "Abbatar" concert in a purpose built theatre in London is only going to be what I think is a much too short 90 minutes long.

AWESOME reaction! You truly appreciate ABBA. I'm an emotional wreck. I'm in my 30s. When I was a camp nerdy little 15-year-old, I wrote to Agnetha about how sad I was that I never got to be alive when ABBA was together. When they announced new music a while back, I waited patiently for its release, with full faith that it'd be amazing. Epic song. Love it. It marks the begining and the end of everything they have been trough as a band and iduviduals. One thing is for sure. They still got IT after all these years.
And 40 years later ABBA comes back showing us all that it's not only possible to heal, but also to still have it in you, and that you don't go about trying the same thing in the same way, you do it your way, in a new way, updated ways, that you do have it in you. Brilliant! Brilliant!

@@callelundberg6790 the 2 they've just released are the only ones from the new album that will be performed at the live shows as they have already recorded the live show as its all computer generated
As an Abba fan since the very beginning this is just the most wonderful thing that could've happened in 2021. Both new songs are just so good. Still brings tears to my eyes, as their songs did when I was a kid in the 70s. This song is actually about them, when Bjorn heard Benny play this for the first time his initial thought was that the lyrics should be about them. And it also rings true for all of us. We need to still have faith in each other to make this world a better place. Love your reaction.
You are so right, I've been saying this for awhile. Society has become so deeply hateful and sordid, we need some of the innocence of the past back to help heal the world and stop what society has become. The lyrics could be apt for so many things in this world at this moment, and there's nothing more universal than music (true music, not the hate breeding, ear bleeding vile tripe that's churned out today,) the holy trinity of the universe is Maths, Physics and Music and this is all 3 into one experience. I am so blessed to have been a part of this world to hear and experience this. Now we just need another Karen Carpenter in this world ❤️
Nice to know you as an american embracing a group that were neglected in the states but were and still are huge in Europe and the Far East and Australia you are America’s ambassador for ABBA
This is so awesome. They're back and I love it. I hope you do the reaction for the other song they released too. 👍 But daaaaamn they still give me chills with their singing.
Totally agree...this is a great ballad and not a dance song like the other one...I've noticed many people love the disco song...that's coz they can upload it with extra beats and so on as the younger generation do lol.😂 and that's okay....just know that this song is a ballad and is to be listened to as such...it's not for dancing...just to be admired by those who love to sip a nice fine warm red wine and appreciate the masterpiece that it is....Okay thankyou for your sincere comment...kind regards from Sheree....a long life ABBA fan.😊
thanks so much for these reaction Today is special, because is the return of ABBA after almost 39 years and yes, ABBA comes back with all yours talents intacts obiously 40 years much older, but Their voices still sound great I still have faith in You is an emotional Voyage of all Four ABBA members, Frida voice is beautiful and slow, the chorus is epic! and ABBATARS are amazing! the other song premier yesterday Don't shut me down is like a catchy song of the 80s, I feel seems another of Agnetha solo career, but with fantastic chorus I have one day on tears in my eyes, but joy in my soul... We all have an Abba song for every occasion... if there is an anthem for 2021, this may well be it. And have faith everyone - you are beautiful and unique ❤♥💖💕
The two songs released so far sound so much more like they were written for a stage musical than as pop singles. ABBA always had that dramatic sound to their music but I really feel like I am listening to excerpts from a larger stage musical. I was disappointed though that the two ladies didn't participate in the launch of this new music. I have been so very fond of both of them since I was a child especially Frida.
Both are great tunes.. I still have faith in you is also theatrical sonically in presentation, something which Frida does so very well.. While Don't shut me down is demure, sweet and bouncy..so compatible with Agnetha When both voices merge in both songs.. MAGICAL
You are right, the message is them singing to each other, like “look what we achieved, how inconceivable it is” and that “they still have it in them”, they remember everything that went down and the joy of finally seeing each other again and still having faith. It’s a beautiful song.
I never thought I'd see the day ABBA blessed us with new music. So happy they've still got 'it'. But then again performer's of their calibre aren't likely to lose it.
6:30 no friend, that is not all the footage! That is CGI holograms that they’re going to use for their special built arena in London to do shows for the songs and the album coming out on 5 November 2021!

The correct term in this case is ABBAtars, not avatars.
But... will they sing live? How should that work?
@@Silber7 No not live - pre-recorded tracks performed by the 'Abbatars'. So far as I know they do not want to go on tour or play live as they can't give the full 'experience' where the CGI will offer something never seen before
…as the world is falling all around us,
ABBA reuniting shines a gorgeous positive light 💡
They're actually building a purpose built stadium for the tour in London
The tour is basically going to be a projection of the band performing as pre recorded computer generated avatars of themselves performing the hits and 2 new songs
The residency will last for 4 years (while the band are all sat at home with their feet up) the concert has been described as "revolutionary"
wow I thought I saw they were about to announce something but this must be what they were talking about
@@deesee3622 Check out their live stream from yesterday. It's very cool.
@@Ozefan2580 I will! thanks!
No your wrong, They are releasing a new album on the 5th on november! So 8 more new songs + these two they already released
@@callelundberg6790 the 2 they've just released are the only ones from the new album that will be performed at the live shows as they have already recorded the live show as its all computer generated
Great reaction. Thanks dude.
I shouldn’t be surprised but this is so good. Great voices nicely matured and just a brilliant music track
I loved this when I heard this today.
Frida singing the lead, Agnetha coming in on the chorus.
How can you not love ABBA? They sound great!
You do a beautiful job on these reviews😘. When you stopped it the first time tonight - your sensitivity shown thru.
Besides the mature voices and production, the lyrics of both released songs has deep layers to it!
Frida and Agnetha 💖 ❤
This makes me cry with happiness ❤️❤️
Now we just need another Karen Carpenter in this world ❤️
The greatest ABBA the sweetest voice ever!
10 times better than any songs released today
As a swedish im glad tht u people respect and love our Swedish band for a long time 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
Nice to know you as an american embracing a group that were neglected in the states but were and still are huge in Europe and the Far East and Australia you are America’s ambassador for ABBA
This was my first time hearing this great new song from ABBA. It was a pleasure to share this first hearing with you JoVaughn
This is so awesome. They're back and I love it. I hope you do the reaction for the other song they released too. 👍 But daaaaamn they still give me chills with their singing.
I think it’s that they have faith in surviving together.
Yeah Björn said this song was about the four of them. Hope you’ll react to Don’t shut me down too. That one has the old ABBA sound
Really like your reactions. Well thought out, and I agree with it all. So glad to have ABBA back.
I didn't even know how badly I needed this. Thank you, ABBA. Thank you, Jayvee.
I remember them in my youth.Had all the albums. The girls voices still sound amazing.
Totally agree...this is a great ballad and not a dance song like the other one...I've noticed many people love the disco song...that's coz they can upload it with extra beats and so on as the younger generation do lol.😂 and that's okay....just know that this song is a ballad and is to be listened to as such...it's not for dancing...just to be admired by those who love to sip a nice fine warm red wine and appreciate the masterpiece that it is....Okay thankyou for your sincere comment...kind regards from Sheree....a long life ABBA fan.😊
thanks so much for these reaction
Today is special, because is the return of ABBA after almost 39 years
and yes, ABBA comes back
with all yours talents intacts
obiously 40 years much older,
but Their voices still sound great
I still have faith in You
is an emotional Voyage of all Four ABBA members, Frida voice is beautiful and slow, the chorus is epic! and ABBATARS are amazing!
the other song premier yesterday
Don't shut me down
is like a catchy song of the 80s,
I feel seems another of Agnetha solo career, but with fantastic chorus
I have one day on tears in my eyes, but joy in my soul...
In these time of pandemic
the return of ABBA
is the Best new to all the world
Now definitive ABBA it's in the Podium of all the greatest in músic
(with Beatles and some more)
Yes you have to react to " Don't shut me down" with ABBA too.
Well said. There will never, ever be another ABBA. 👍
I was in tears of joy when I found out a couple of days ago about their reunion, album AND their concert in London. A VIRTUAL concert and of course they are getting their OWN arena built for it. So deserving, so long awaited - it will be phenomenal. Check out their video about the making of it all, worth the watch. ♥♥♥
Wow!! ABBAtars! JV who woulda thought your reaction would be my first reaction to one of their songs, this many years into their music careers: their melodies sooth, their accents shine through, love that always!! Thanks JV 🎶
Love your personality..its heart n soul n excites me to know u r so real n deep.
We all have an Abba song for every occasion... if there is an anthem for 2021, this may well be it. And have faith everyone - you are beautiful and unique ❤♥💖💕
Anthem is the word! Thanks!
Don't worry, when the concerts premiere next year they'll be there. And the world will stop - just for a moment.
Both are great tunes.. I still have faith in you is also theatrical sonically in presentation, something which Frida does so very well.. While Don't shut me down is demure, sweet and bouncy..so compatible with Agnetha
When both voices merge in both songs..
ABBA is back!!
6:30 no friend, that is not all the footage! That is CGI holograms that they’re going to use for their special built arena in London to do shows for the songs and the album coming out on 5 November 2021!
You can't deny their talent. A unique band and they still have that magic that helped them conquer the world. This is beautiful.
I think ABBA could sing the Yellow Pages and it would be a Hit!
