    • @ReignitedAuto

      With just a 1" drop you won't have to change shocks or anything, unless they are in bad shape anyway. I got away with just an alignment and had no issues. • @ReignitedAuto

      Truthfully with only a 1" suspension drop, the alignment won't be that far off. It's definitely close enough to get you to a local shop for an alignment with no problems at all. If you want to try to do a home alignment, that's another video altogether. 👍

    Your video has been immensely helpful! Installing lowering springs on my Chrysler 300, as well. However, as it is my first time using a spring compressor (exact same style as in this video), how do you know when it is safe to take off the nut on the top of the strut hat? I'm using a combo ratchet instead of an impact because I'm a little nervous. The bottom of the spring, where the spring sits in the rubber, is already loose and able to move around. There's not really much more that I can compress the spring, very little thread left. Please help. Thank you very much in advance.

    • @ReignitedAuto
      @ReignitedAuto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's pretty much it right there, if the spring moves freely on the perch you're good to remove the nut 👍

    • @dizzlecopter7264
      @dizzlecopter7264 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ReignitedAuto Thank you so much! I was able to successfully remove the factory spring. Didn't have to use spring compressor for new spring since it was much shorter. So, that was a plus. But now, the issue I ran into when fastening all the nuts that hold the strut in place is control arm nut seems like it is spinning when I hit it with the impact, and the sway bar end link bolt isn't lined up just right. It's not quite level. Any suggestions on how to fix these issues? Thanks again!

    • @ReignitedAuto
      @ReignitedAuto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dizzlecopter7264 you will need a large pry bar for both. First, apply pressure with the pry bar to keep the ball joint from spinning while you try to tighten it. Next, use the pry bar to lever the sway bar end link into place. These are both perfectly normal actions you'll have to do to perform this job. 👍

    • @ReignitedAuto
      @ReignitedAuto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea the rear definitely was sitting higher than the front. Generally when you install lowering springs they will settle a little bit after driving for awhile. In this case, the rear did settle about another 1/2" which made it look more in line with the front. I couldn't have been happier with this mod, no rubbing at all and factory ride quality. 👍

      Gomez gotcha, what you do is take a long pry bar, stick the end in the coil springs and lever down onto the top of the upper control arm, this puts pressure on the tapered shaft and allows you to tighten it properly 👍

    Put d2 coil overs, way easier. Simple as pulling out the front and replacing and the back I need to lift it from the middle and used some claps on the springs.

    It is so wrong to lower a car without doing the same for the shocks and sway bar adjustments . I used the eibach sport kit and it lowered 3.5 inches .my fender wells are even with the top of my tires , and handles like a gocart . I love it now . I also used a special front shock tower brace , and a hidden trailer hitch to tie the back of the car together.

      I'd be surprised if you have to do anything to the suspension to fit 22" wheels. The 20" wheels still seem somewhat small in the wheelwells, If you ran a small enough tire sidewall I'd think they would bolt right on. But I've never tried it before.
