I normally prefer the nationalities voices, but the gunner calling off the range during rangefinding can save you a second or two if its in a language you understand.
The T34 is especially strong because the average German and Soviet player don't tend to know how to react to a tank they can't just point and click on XD Stats wise it has no reason to play as good as it does, it's quite literally just an American Tiger 2 but with more nuance, but every time I take it for a spin I have a great time. Hull armor is good but has obvious weak spots when not angled. Turret armor is great but far from impenetrable against stronger guns. Side armor is thick enough to angle with but not thick enough to save you if you're out of position. Gun has absolutely phenomenal penetration and spalling characteristics but it's not APHE so you need to have good aim and target knowledge to secure one shots on tougher vehicles. Comparing it to the Tiger 2 you get: Pros: -Better Penetration and angled performance by a considerable margin -Better Gunner Sight zoom -Higher Velocity so it's easier to aim -Better Frontal Turret Armor Cons: -Weaker Hull Armor by a considerable margin -More weak spots -Almost double the reload time -No APHE, you actually need to aim for crew and ammo to secure kills so it requires better aim and target knowledge against tougher tanks In Summary: This is no wonder tank but for the first time in the US ground tree you will have a Heavy Tank that not only just survives but actually levels the playing field and most of your German/Soviet counterparts will not be ready/expecting something they can't just point-and-click or that can effectively smack them back. The T34 is a beast when played well but never forget it's a beast with flaws.
Another pro for the T-34 is if you’re in arcade for whatever reason (I don’t judge) and it just pops up as a T34 so they come expecting a T-34-85 or just some guy trolling with an original T-34 only to be met by an American metal beast of a heavy tank instead of some guy who got up tiered or something
Personally i enjoy the T34. The one i miss is the T29 but now its shit at 7.0 where it doesnt belong. Quite literally a US Tiger II equivalent (since they wont give us ragtag) yet they put it at 7.0 for some fucking reason.
@@Spido68_the_spectator Yeah there are two specific places you can penetrate the T34 Heavy with the Panther or Tiger 1 frontally. Neither are particularly easy shots but it can be done. Spot #1: Hull MG port, only about 100mm thick at this point but angling severely negates this. Spot #2: Lower Front Plate corners. They're not the most reliable if the tank is well angled but if you penetrate there's a high chance of a one shot. Best way to deal with a T34 in either is to get a drop on the side of one or to shoot out it's barrel and rush it but that's easier said than done.
@@casualthunder418 No it just sucks 😂😂 Solid shot with 15s reload is just painfull. The Soviet 122 blows up everything in one shot, so it’s alright having the longer reload but for solid shot it’s just bad.
@@kimjanek646 Sorry to say but no you have a legitimate skill issue. The T34 Heavy has objectively the best armor penetration, gunner zoom, and turret protection out of any 6.7 Heavy Tank, has very workable hull armor, has three goddamn .50s which shred light vehicles and tank tracks easily, has one of the highest shell velocities in the BR range making it one of the easiest guns to aim with. So you have a gun that is exceptionally easy to aim, will punch through damned near anything you can meet, and has beastly armor and all it asks in return is that you aim well enough to get one shots, respect its reload, and not to put yourself in a bad position. Things that most other heavies already ask of you. I have, quite literally, almost 200 battles in the thing and it has quite literally never let me down by way of fault of the vehicle itself. It is one of the best Heavy Tanks BR for BR in the entire game period and if you're struggling it's because you're not using it right.
@@ThatGuyOrby Any of that doesn't help when the lowest BR tank you fight is going to be 6.7 Tiger IIs. In a 7.3 or 7.7 game you're just dead weight. I'm using it just like any other tank. The only issue is the solid shot. T29 is perfectly fine at 7.0 with better RoF and a gun that nowadays always one shots. There is just no competetion between solid shot and APHE that overpressures. So no, for 6.7 the T34 is complete junk. I rather play the M26 or good forbid the T26E1-1.
@@TheManWho_BOUGHT_TheWorld96 Then not entirely sure what you mean. M26 Lacks firepower and armor -Firepower only slightly superior to a Tiger 1. Shells have ahistorically nerfed flat and angled penetration so it's shells can't do what they were designed to do. Can't penetrate the Panther hull reliably even at point blank range, can't penetrate the Tiger 2's turret frontally without APCR and I don't think I need to explain why APCR is not a good round, and a rate of fire that's directly comparable. -Armor protection only give or take 25% better than a Tiger 1's at a BR where that amount of armor just doesn't matter anymore -Almost a full BR higher than both the Tiger 1 and the Panther btw. -Overall you get a tank at 6.7 that would've fit in much better at 6.3 (where it was) or even 6.0. As it is the thing is just a waste of a crew slot. T26E5 lacks firepower -Same gun as the M26 but on a significantly up-armored tank. Finally a vehicle that has some reason to be at this BR but it still lacks punch to really compete. You can soak up damage all day long but that doesn't take away from the fact your gun sucks and can't frontally penetrate most tough opponents you'll see like the four different Tiger 2s, late German TDs, Soviet Heavies (save for at close range), etc. You'll almost always kill if you penetrate since M82 shot packs a lot of explosive filler but the problem is you absolutely need to outmaneuver your enemy to do so. T26E1-1 lacks consistency -Firepower comparable to a Tiger 2 but with unironically almost double the reload. All that for a gun that is incredibly inconsistent against the targets you'd expect it to be good against. Hell the thing has a tendency to bounce off the Panther's UFP, a piece of armor the short 90mm gun on the M26/T26E5 should be able to defeat reliably within 1km but doesn't. -Armor that is finnicky at best and does not really add anything to the tank besides a little bit of finnicky heat protection in up-tiers because the plates are spaced. Won't offer any protection against the rounds it was supposed to in real life because shell degradation after hitting spaced armor isn't something modelled in the game. So things like the German Long 88 or Russian 122 just won't care about your armor. -Inexplicably worse gun sights that both the M26/T26E5 despite having specially made higher magnification sight to compensate for the higher velocity gun historically speaking T92 is a solid little gremlin but nothing crazy. I also don't really play Light Tanks so I sort of just have to take my friend's word for it since he does. The only real competitor in this BR range in my opinion is the T34. Firepower feels great (I think it unironically has the most armor penetration of any 6.7 Heavy Tank), armor feels reliable when properly angled, reload still sucks but that's expected, mobility isn't actually as bad as you'd think for a 65 ton tank, gunner's sights are fantastic, shell velocity is exceptional so it's easy to aim. All around very solid tank, probably one of the best Heavies BR for BR.
