    Those small cuts with bandsaw to help split the ring is genius. Definitely will add that technique!!!

    Is that blue ring blue all the way through. I ask because if you accidentally hit it with sandpaper or chisel it would be scratched.

      @DreamwoodRings  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is blue all the way through and it is ceramic making it very scratch resistant!

    Whered you get the benches in the back from, and can it hold a jet midi lathe without it being too tall?

      These come from Home depot. Super nice to be able to roll around. I have a jet 1221vs and they work perfectly.

    I made a solid antler ring from a old shed and used ca as my finish. It looked great for about 3 months. The glue began to separate from the antler. It looked like the antler shrank away from the ca leaving a shell which snapped off later. Have you ever seen something like that?

    • @DreamwoodRings
      @DreamwoodRings  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, I have not seen that happen! Although with natural materials I would say definitely possible. Was it in a channel ring? Or over a flat core?

      @@DreamwoodRings it was made with a solidcut. I cut it at a point where it was mostly the hard outer. I was using a medium BSI. Is starbond that much better?

      I'm using the boring head tool. I actually have not shopped for the bit I'm using with it. Someone brought it to me and asked if I could use it. It is basically this. www.mscdirect.com/browse/tnpla/70913520?cid=ppc-google-Smart+Shopping+-+MMR+-+Indexable+Cutting+Tools&mkwid=%7cdm&pcrid=547379753978&rd=k&product_id=70913520&gclid=Cj0KCQjwgYSTBhDKARIsAB8KukvEPNIaKZ9Xf4sL8ZzOm_t0SiG29eT5ipTNu1J2_91LsFjgxDhx614aAnD5EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
