Aw hell yes, I've been waiting to see you do X4 for a while.
Now we know why Jet Stingray screams "Yeah!" every time he's diving.
Hated this level, LOVED this song. And now I love it even more. This right here is 100% genuine, grade-A HYPE. My toes have suffered major trauma from all this tappin'. I expect you to pay for my medical bills in full by means of more incredible megaman tunes.
This is really rockin'. Sounds like the song itself was meant for the Genesis; it just fits so well. I think this sounds way better than the original. Another excellent job here. Can't wait to hear how my other favorite Maverick stage theme from this game sounds in Genesis instruments, and that would be Magma Dragoon.
This would easily fit in a Sonic game, a water theme park where you have to keep running to stay on top of the water :P

MMX4 had the best soundtrack all around in my opinion.
While other titles had good songs, almost the entire soundtrack to MMX4 is amazing.
I have to agree. megaman 8 and megaman x4 are the best when it comes to music in the ps1 era of megaman. this theme seems to be made for the genisis.
Okay, I've heard them all now. The best so far in this album are: Split Mushroom, Web Spider and Jet Stingray.
...which isn't really a surprise because good ol' MD is awesome for rock and funk.

I don't know what it is about this soundtrack, but it does just not grip me at all. At least not in the way that X1 or X2 did. Hell, even with X3, I can wistle most of the tracks right off the top of my head. With this one though, not much of it sticks. I mean, I can remember Magma dragoon, this track, Frost walrus & the Sigma battles, but everything else just blends in. It's still all completely digestable & hell, when I am in the respective stage, I do get into the music then, but outside the game, I never feel like listening to it. It's a soundtrack that has no glaring weaknesses, but no striking strengths either. When I'm out taking a walk or whatever, I'm skipping most of this game's soundtrack when browsing through my Ipod.
Can't wait for you to get to X5 & X6. Those soundtracks are fucking awsome. Especially X6. Might not be the strongest games ever made (Even if I will defend X5), but they got some real feet-tappers in their soundtracks.

I know what you mean. There are select few songs from X4 I really enjoy to listen to over and over again.
I felt that way even as a kid and even worse as an adult. X4 is extremely overrated. The levels feel super boxed with less exploration and the music was just there. I just don't get hyped for these songs the way I do for the soundtracks before and after this game.
