I know this is an excerpt. What's missing from the conversation here, is the heart. In one of my awakening experiences, I saw that everything was illusion. However, I was still years apart from opening my heart. After years of getting over minor addictions, leaving toxic friends, setting boundaries and accepting myself, my heart eventually opened. That is true awakening to me.

Adyashanti goes into great depth about the spiritual heart and how to access it in his book “The Direct Way”

I have traded in the terms "real" and "unreal" into "unchanging" and "changing." Both are ways reality presents itself. Duality is not a problem if it is not identified as the only reality. Otherwise, everything is an expression of reality. If something exists, how could it be basically unreal? A watercolor is a real watercolor.

This is just pure consciousness talking through many different appearances...which r projected as forms...though I like it 2= quiet symphatic...fun and simple... .

At the root of everything lies the experience of everything. It's so obvious that we don't even consider it in our search for truth. And so we look elsewhere. Distancing us from the very core we're trying to find. A futile undertaking.

paradoxically spirituality is often used to stay more comfortably in the unreal !

I only say this because I had an experience that took me out of my body and somewhere that wasn't here...a place that was absolutely everything and nothing at the same time...then returned back to my body and realized you are me and I am you we are all eachother experiencing ourselves in infinite expressions...the trees the grass the animals all of it is us...I'll never be the same...my ego did not like this truth at first...this truth may not be your truth...but it's like one giant hallucination for me 🤷...it hurt at first...now I'm learning to live with it...

@@cashlaineharles2692 Yup “you” “me” “we” is just “I” and not even that. This not even that is all alone. Quite the shock when you see your true nature, which in no thing. Not this not that. Takes a long time to process that one. Neem Karoli Baba once said “To see God you must have special eyes, otherwise you cannot bear the shock”. Truer words have never been spoken. I don’t think many seekers understand what they’re seeking. In a way it’s actually by God’s Grace that most don’t find. You go all the way upstream, subject object becomes one. No mind, no me, no you, no thing at all. It is so much everything that it is nothing. After experiencing this it was clear to me that many would be left insane just by having a single glimpse. I understand why some are allowed to see it and others are not. Just want to let you know that I feel you brother. You know that you and I are not two, beyond intellect and all concepts. This you can’t unsee. I honestly feel that God takes form because his true nature is even too much for him to bear. He prefers being in form. This was my feeling after coming back into form. The form wants to be all, and the all wants to be form. Maybe it was Ego, but when back in form there was a feeling of great joy and amazement just looking at, touching, and smelling simple touching simple objects. Didn’t feel like a mistake, or something to transcend like many spiritual teachings point to. It just kind of is, and all you need to do is know yourself. Nothing more really ❤️

Yes real and unreal are both concepts within the dream. Everything just is. Adya speaks to suffering people within the dream from in the dream. He relieves suffering in the dream, and does a beautiful job doing it. In the dream suffering is experienced as real, as long as we have Ego left we need teachers to help us. Adya knows the ultimate truth, but serves at the level he serves at. It’s not a choice, it’s just what’s happening in God’s play. Ultimately when the curtain closes you find that he’s the teacher, the student, and everything else
