If Nisha is still around after "Power Play", talk to her and she will give you an unnamed Instigating Cutlass. I consider the Chosen Disciple perk the weakest of the three, so she doesn't usually make it in my games, so Throatslicer is my melee of choice if I don't find a good random legendary Disciples blade.
@@JamesB-ew4jg Don't underestimate that. I used the weapon in my previous run to one I'm playing now and that weapon did very well. That 3 points of poison adds up more than you may think it would.

I had plenty of time where I'd VATs an opponent, and even if the initial hits didn't kill, I wouldn't have to free aim because the poison would finish them off. Maybe it becomes less effective later in the game, I don't know. When I do use melee I do it early game then eventually switch over to guns after a while. But at least when I use it it was effective. It's not just a 1 time hit of 3 extra points of damage, like the bleed effect it's a constant health drain for a period of time.
The most devesting weapon for melee enemies is a auto pistol with a knee capper. The most powerful monsters in the place can be knee capped and then beat to death with a tire iron.
Spray and Pray is definitely my favorite weapon. Its crazy overpowered and kills anything pretty easily, but it definitely cost me a pretty cap to keep it loaded. I definitely recommend getting it.
The best weapons are the ones that drop at killing legendary enemies. Out of hundreds of garbage tire irons, pool cues and hunting rifles with added perks you can find amazing gems. Some examples: -Gauss rifle with 2 shots, the best of all gauss rifle variants I've seen, it does damage comparable to a mini nuke. -Minigun with explosive damage, use this thing in the endless raid mode and it can annihilate a high level horde in less than 5 seconds. -Combat rifle with explosive damage, just like Spray and pray but unlike that one you can mod it into several different playstiles: spam semiauto .38 ammo without care, blast .45 at full automatic like Spray and pray, or use it like a sniper rifle with higher damage semiauto .308. -Assault rifle with plasma infused. You mod it into full automatic and it is a death machine. -Missile launcher with instigating effect that does double damage if the target is at full health, almost like shooting a mininuke with automatic target tracking and four barrels. -Plasma rifle with % damage bonus, either 25% damage against all or 50% damage against humans. If you mod it into overcharged improved automatic it is a beast

I tend to use the Overseer's Guardian, modify it to do maximum damage and then spec into stealth perks, done right it can be modified so that shooting from stealth does 4.7 times the weapons normal damage, allowing me to one or two shot most enemies in the game, even at high levels...
I make it a max damage auto with a reflex sight myself heh. But it can be an amusing to turn it into a sniper. For that i use a .50 cal sniper. If you can find one with +50% limb damage it makes those head shot sneak attacks that much more devastating.
You don't even need to complete the quest to get a tesla canon. Enclave soldiers in power armor will drop them on occasion. I got my first one after the update by just starting the quest.

On Survival the Kiloton semi-automatic is just the best. You save ammo, and with maxed out perks (Rifleman, Nuclear Physicist, bloody mess, Demolition Expert) you just melt all enemies.

However, the splash damage from the explosive bullets more than makes up for it's lack of energy damage as it is more effective on groups of enemies than the plasma Infusion
You can get tesla cannons from Enclave crates. The enclave dont respawn in their 3 camps, but the crates restock every few days. Just keep checking them and you get a ton of plasma weapons, tesla cannons, incinerators etc.

End game weapons: - Overseer's Guardian - Works exceptionally well as a sniper rifle, and gets the job done even at level 100. - Final Judgement - Upgraded with Charging Barrels, this is probably the strongest weapon in the game. Very powerful with superb accuracy! - Throatslicer - It's Pickman's Blade 2.0! Same bleed damage, but higher base damage. - Instigating Disciple Cutlass - Talking to Nisha, after finishing the Power Play quest (having sided with the Disciples), she will give you yhis blade. It's Magnificent on a stealthy melee build! - Atom's Judgement - Big hammer! Lot's of radiation damage! Think again! You'll be dodging and re-positioning all the time, and while you do that, you can reload (if necessary). This is nothing more than a regular Gatling laser. It just happens to require jumping through all the hoops to get. It's a Meme-gun!
You covered the Splattercanon but not the problem Solver which has the exact same effect as the Splattercanon, is the same type of weapon just with different attachments, and is also from the Nuka World DLC and which can be gotten for free by making the correct dialog choices and one persuasion check when talking to the leader of the Pack Mason. I’m sorry but did you say that the TESLA CANNON WAS EASY TO GET!? I did this whole quest in power armor and died at the radio tower to the bloatflys, AND the Gunnar vault wasn’t any easier. It’s an amazing weapon and one of my favorites but this quest is unbelievably hard to do
this is def ripped from a list. You're missing a lot of incredibly powerful weapons. Old reliable is a lever action with the double effect. i've gotten quite a few of those as generic legendary drops but old reliable is there if you dont have a lucky drop. the harvester is another that imo may seem weak but its basically the wind caller from skyrim and a ripper isnt bad in 1v1's as a fun weapon but due to its stagger effect one can say its op. Theres also the Hub's alien blaster which is the same thing but deals double crit and refills crit meter by 15 percent when a crit is hit. its incredibly common to get an explosive minigun or combat shotgun as well especially on harder difficulties. i have 4 explosive combat shotguns on my survival character i gave to my most elite settlers. The Radical Conversion isnt explosive like the kiloton but with max mods and rifle man i wanna say its an incredible semi auto sniper if you dont want to accidentally hit your companions. and if you like heavy guns all the harpoon gun variants are insane as well as the broadsider but that ones kind of niche due to ammo. Also in survival i think any plasma gun is insane. i got a double plasma thrower that is way too strong. and im only calling this out because you have VIRGILS RIFLE here and its an institute weapon. is it unique cuz its racist? yeah but is it good? Not really. its like putting lorenzo's artifact gun on the list just cuz its quirky
I’m still using my trusty .44 magnum that I got from the guy who kidnapped my son (no spoilers). I also use a gauss rifle for really tough opponents and make the ammo in the builder from Contraptions workshop dlc. Speccing into pistols, automatics and rifles is my usual route as well as building for maximum AP points.
Okay, Alien Blaster is, sadly, very inefective out in the field. I really, really wanted it to be good but, it isnt. Actually, I have not found any energy weapons that work, universally well. I want too. Saying this with a charecter play as high as level 230. So, it is not me leveled down saying this.
Loved most of these weapons I sold some and lost some but the vendor who I sold the weapons disappeared from the list when I tried to buy them back. Never can find the vendor who travels to vault
Explosive Combat Shotgun with maxed explosive/rifle or commando perk can bring the damage to over 200 per shot. You can die if you shoot anything in face proximity. Only other explosive weapon I use is the Chinese grenade launcher for longer range. (In level 85, very hard difficulty)
It’s WAAAAAAAAAAAAY more than that. Each pellet does 45 points of explosive damage, but it’s area effect so the splash damage hits all six body parts, so the explosive damage is X6. That’s why if you hit an object in front of you, the splash will kill you when your hit points are high.

My favourite weapon is a fairly common one, once you're beyond Level 20 or so... the Gauss Rifle! Modify it at a workbench, and you're taking out Behemoths in a couple of shots, and Deathclaws in one! I have the "Legendary Weapon" mod, and I make it Neverending, so I don't waste time reloading when those pesky radscorpions come looking for me.

You get a thirst zapper immediately after completing the gauntlet. Never even need to go to the Nukacade.
Spray and Pray also procs off the Demolition Expert trait.. so those 15 points get much bigger and so do the blast radii..

the aternus doesnt have unlimited ammo. it consumes fusion cores one after another. i got it a few days ago and it doesnt work.
never ending means it doesnt have to reload so it probably doesnt have a reload animation

the Cryolator can be gotten as soon as we get dog meat, he can be used to grab the Cryolator without needing to unlock the case.

What I do for the overseers guardian I don’t make it full auto, I make it semi auto, trust me it is so much better. I also put a dot sight on kt

You can covert the alien blaster to use fusion cells.
exploding combat is rng. just like my endless double barrel. just keep rolling it and if that doesnt help just use the violent one in libertalia.

Okay, Alien Blaster is, sadly, very inefective out in the field. I really, really wanted it to be good but, it isnt. Actually, I have not found any energy weapons that work, universally well. I want too. Saying this with a charecter play as high as level 230. So, it is not me leveled down saying this.
plasma weapons are techincally energy weapons. they have both ballistic and energy damage values.

Loved most of these weapons I sold some and lost some but the vendor who I sold the weapons disappeared from the list when I tried to buy them back. Never can find the vendor who travels to vault

Explosive Combat Shotgun with maxed explosive/rifle or commando perk can bring the damage to over 200 per shot. You can die if you shoot anything in face proximity. Only other explosive weapon I use is the Chinese grenade launcher for longer range.

It’s WAAAAAAAAAAAAY more than that. Each pellet does 45 points of explosive damage, but it’s area effect so the splash damage hits all six body parts, so the explosive damage is X6. That’s why if you hit an object in front of you, the splash will kill you when your hit points are high.

Recon marine armor from far harbor dlc, you need to buy from vendors in far harbor ...bit expensive but really good
@silverbullet7172 is wrong, you get the armor from doing the main quest line. After you unlock DIMAs memory’s it will give you locations to the armor
@@blasegoonan245 he's right actually. the "Recon Marine Armor" is a legendary variant. but you can find the generic ones for free from dimas memories or buy the zealot stuff from the children
My favourite weapon is a fairly common one, once you're beyond Level 20 or so... the Gauss Rifle!
Modify it at a workbench, and you're taking out Behemoths in a couple of shots, and Deathclaws in one!
I have the "Legendary Weapon" mod, and I make it Neverending, so I don't waste time reloading when those pesky radscorpions come looking for me.
