I really enjoy leaving a comment below your videos, but it feels like useless because you never answer them. But I still love them! Thank you so much! Keep on making more videos like those because they've helped a lot of people.
It seems we have the same character, I do like talking to everyone even to those who I never met before. especially when I'm on a plane or in the boarding room, I do like looking for someone who is alone then I go there to talk. hahaha :D recently I met someone from America, David Dieterle on our flight from Bali to Jakarta, we had a very friendly conversation for 2 hours. Actually I always get bored on plane but at the time 2 hours was very quickly, because I really enjoyed the conversation. And normally I ask their CP like WhatsApp or other things to be always connected with them. So last 2 weeks he told me that he's going to come to Indonesia in the near future, it means we are going to meet again. :D
1. "Be used to something” (if you’re not used to the sound of my voice) = you are not accustomed with my voice / you feel strange with the voice. 2. "like riding a bike” = Something easy / everybody would be able to accomplish. 3. “the apple doesn't fall far from the tree” = kids are like their parents; like father, like son. I looked at the father, then at the son, and I thought, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. 4. “in a vacuum” = something is not connected to other things. TIPS: In Japan often it’s better to do something first and then ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

Pretty interesting, I love the way that you don't only teach us English, and give us tips to get fluent, but you also give us advice's and tips about life, I've seen it in several videos of yours, so thank you very much and keep doing it :)
Drew, talking to unknown people is often funny. Negative feedback is acceptable. However we brasilian like more than that, we like shaking hands, hugging people. Can you imagine complete strange people facing that? Great video again. Congrats. Cheers =)
hello drew, I'm new to your channel too (I subscribed for about a week) Thank you for making these educational videos it really helps to enrich my vocabulary. Strangely, I can catch your words and understand what you say, but I could not do an interview well. I stutter when I'm under stress and probably had ruined the meeting...
I subscribed this channel not long ago, and this is the first time I get a notification of a newest video uploaded, I open it and very nice listening to you.. I understand you, even it's the first time, Thank you for the tips as you're saying on the video...I'll try that for sure..
+EnglishAnyone I understood 100% of what you said, thanks a lot for the tips to improve our fluency, It also helps to practice the listening part watching your videos. I will tell 3000 people about your channel for sure 😄 Have a great day!
I always watch your videos, but specifically in this, happened something original, some person got into the room and the interruption turned what was a professional video into an invitation to share a real life moment. Welcome those things that we don't expect but take us off the routine. Thanks for all.
When I moved to this town, (a small town) people usually greets anyone with a simple "hello". The city grew and now everybody ignore you. To much people come from big cities, and this people are not social as the natives. I live in South Brazil, I can understand everything you said, but my writing skill is not good. I'm praticing. cheers!
I totally agree with you that we should speak with random people, but I feel so embarassed when people neglect me. that's why I rarely speak to people I don't know
i'm from brazil and here it's very very common talk to somebody that you never been before haha it's just talk about the weather, something that happens with yourself, or only "good morning", you know? in brazil is a polite's indication.
+W Wei English Fluency GUIDE - someone who guides you to fluency, showing you the exact steps to take to speak confidently, as opposed to a traditional TEACHER who just gives lessons. :)
+EnglishAnyone Thank you very much. I have been watching your videos for a while. They are very helpful. And I know the word was GUIDE :) , I was just kidding around.
Because it also means ”I'm sorry.” It's a versatile word that expresses a sense of apology. For example, when you try to get through a crowd, you say sumimasen, which means "I'm sorry, but can you let me through?," which still does give a tiny sense of apology, right? Whenever you intend to lower your position to the point where you show your humbleness or humility to other people, you could say that.
hi, I dont know why but I can listen anything that he say, but I can't translate to my language with speed like that. Something wrong with me everybody???

Are you in japan?
Yes, he is! Maybe you know it now, four years later... ☺️
すみません = sumimasen = Excuse me
Why did you say the word?
Because it also means ”I'm sorry.” It's a versatile word that expresses a sense of apology. For example, when you try to get through a crowd, you say sumimasen, which means "I'm sorry, but can you let me through?," which still does give a tiny sense of apology, right?
