Why companies relocate to States in the South. They're great with example no state tax but the flip side like Texas is a right to work State. So they can close up shop with little or no notice.

I'm with you. The previous employer was such an a hole. I was so pissed off that I quit. I did it on Saturday so that gave them 2 days to find replacement 😂 For the record, the employer planned on cutting my hours to 4 just so I quit on my own but then changed mind since other employees were fired.

I'm one of them. No notice or anything, overnight email terminated same day. I loved working as a technician at Tesla. I learned more and more every day, and I was doing great. Everyone I worked with was amazing. Also we had to fly technicians in to help us because we have to many cars to the amount of technicians. This doesn't make sense to me.
My managers told me to re-apply.
I already filed for unemployment same day because I have obligations, good thing I already have an interview lined up.

@@armanhadi777 working at a service center in Santa Clara California I did. Great team, management did a great job locally, and 99.5% of customers were great as well to talk to and help at their homes. I worked repairing and maintaining the current customer base.
Obviously our economy is taking a turn so less new things in general are purchased with increased struggle as a whole. I just don't understand all the efforts put into investing in training me and making me good at my job. Seems like the time and investment was already made to make me optimal. They currently need more techs, so personally I don't understand the reasoning. The current customer base already exists, and cars need to be repaired. I'm sure they will hire more and train them. Tesla is a good company with amazing products, that I fully support.
I'm just bummed not to be involved now. I also made investments to continue growth within the company.
Don't get me wrong, I believe in the company. I love cars and the tech skills involved with the vehicles.
I only can talk about a smaller local portion to my community.
They did end up sending me a severance package for 2 months of pay, and medical coverage. My management said they would like to have me back as well.
Overall there must have been reasons beyond my understanding.
I already found another job opportunity so ehh life goes on.

After Consumer Reports showed that hybrids are far more reliable than pure EVs and the 2024 Green Car of the year is the Toyota Prius Prime, a plug-in hybrid, the EV market has collapsed. Today, everyone wants hybrids and PHEVs, which are more environmentally friendly than Teslas, cheaper, and more reliable. When I got kicked to the curb at age 55, I got no notice. Just a call to come to the office at a certain time. They read from a legally prepared document, which took about 60 seconds and 2 minutes later, I was out the door. So, get over your absurd expectations that you will get or deserve special treatment, so your feelings aren't hurt.
