Personally, I don't believe its money that has guided the Bears head coaching woes. John Fox was no cheap hire, Matt Nagy was an OC many teams considered in the 2018 offseason that surely was no cheap hire, Eberflus had many eyes on him as well in 2022. In my opinion the problem the front office and owners have NO ability to evaluate coaches in the hiring process SPECIFICALLY Offensive coordinators. I mean just look at our last decade of OC's Adam Gase just look at how his career went, Dowell Loggains who was an absolute fucking joke, Mark Helfrich who isnt even a damn coach in any capacity anymore, Luke Getsy who after being fired by the bears went to the raiders this season to be fired again, and Shane Waldron and we all know how that went... This is why dismissing Jim Harbaugh this offseason was the most dumb fucking thing that the bears could've possibly done, a guy like Jim with the track record and experience of coaching was able to A.) Have the vision and insight of what a successful staff looks like. B.) Has the contacts and pull to make it happen. Jim Harbaugh was a guaranteed home run at the coaching position. Now we are in this cycle again where even top HC options may reconsider with GM Poles now potentially on the hot seat for the foreseeable future. The Bears are an organization filled with blind failures. This next coach needs to be someone that can build an elite staff around him, but in Bears fashion itll be some newbie HC that is clueless and will send Caleb and the Bears into a deeper darker tunnel that will take another decade to reemerge from.
