The Kinks were the first concert that I ever paid my own money for. 1979 at Oakland Arena. Bay Area. It was the ‘One more from the road’ tour. Angel City opened and were actually really good. But The Kinks were larger than life ! I still have the tone of Dave Davies lead guitar in my mind. Probably a big reason I chose to go into music. My dad took me and smoked a joint in the back while me and my friend Chris ran up to the front row and stayed there all night. Unforgettable.
Hi I was 15 or so in the UK when the Kinks hit the charts with 'I really got you' and this one. We played the records over and over again all day! These songs just blew our minds there was nothing like this in our world. Thank you for videos, they take me back 60 years and the excitement of those distorted chords is timeless.
I seen the Kinks in Toronto in the 80's Inxs was backing them, damn did they bring it, this is one song you need to crank if you have neighbours that annoy you lol thanks Marty

@@Dluxracing I’ve been playing guitar for 5 months and if there’s anything I’ve learned it would be consistency and planning. If you don’t plan yourself and keep organized when you get to actually playing guitar (learning to read music and play chords) you’re going to get really discouraged but you have to stick with it it will pay out in the end trust me, I’m still improving!

Yay! ...and my core temperature is bearable enough I think my guitar strings aren't so tight that I'm afraid it will shatter or split wood if I strum it! I'm guessing its gonna be universally very sharp though, until I back off and retune. It will need some humidity. Still no running water for a few days. 🥶Happiness is playing again❣️ 😃
