Tangled Meet & Greet - Flynn Rider's Last Day with Rapunzel Magic Kingdom 7/2/11

We were there for Flynn Rider's last day and set at the Magic Kingdom. He is said to be coming back for hard-ticket events like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, hopefully he'll be back in the parks full time someday as well.
There were a lot of tears from cast members, guests, and Flynn himself. We even asked him to show us the smolder one last time! (Jeff asked him on the first day we videotaped Flynn and Rapunzel before the film Tangled came out). We were glad to be there today, but it was an emotional ending to Flynn's character at the Magic Kingdom.

Aw, the lanterns. How sweet! This just made me cry. The chemistry between the characters is amazing, and I wish I could have met Flynn while he was still there. :( Flynn, you will be missed! So very much!

Man these two are so good! It really looks and feels like they're an engaged couple or something! They can't stop holding hands just like Flynn and Rapunzel would be! In my opinion these two are the best! I'm so sad that Flynn is gone! Come on Disney! They work together in the movie! One without the other would just not work!

Why would they take out their most developed and possibly most beloved Disney male character? Like... WHY!?!? Even I, a full grown woman, would LOVE to meet him at Disney. Now I'm just mad that if I ever get to go to Disney, I won't. Damn it!

I was trying to figure out where this was in WDW - then I realized this is where Merida's meet and greet is now. Sad to see Flynn go... would've been so cool to meet him!

I think it was both, they took Flynn out of the parks and now only Rapunzel is there. Flynn I think only shows up at the parades and holiday/ halloween events

I was sad to hear that flynns last day was july 2nd.I was going to see him in sept. I heard hes going to be there on holidays. So thats when i plan on going to meet him. I just love you flynn your my favorite and i love your smoulder and i cant wait to see you.Love Taylor!

Whatever's available. Face characters or costume characters, I go to all of them. I think it has more to do with the fact I'm a height that not a lot of characters fit. Being short or tall is a boon at Disney. Average, not so much.

What have you tried auditioning for? I agree, personality is close to everything and with makeup lots of changes can be done, but they still look for the right face as well.
@Lekha84 Disney doesn't hire based off looks. Take this from someone who has gone to more Disney character auditions then can be put on all fingers and toes. They hire people based off the right attitude. It is NOT easy being in-character 24/7, in hot, itchy costumes, rain or shine, kid puking on your shoes or fainting in your arms. Yes, I have seen that last one happen. Looks are easily changed with wigs and contacts, but if the attitude isn't right, you will not become a character.
I want to be Rapunzel with this Flynn so bad right now. When turn 18 i really want to be Rapunzel as a Disney princess and work at Disney. Its my dream. ❤
Disney should seriously just shut down now after this travesty. What the hell were they thinking getting rid of Flynn?
