I think the hoopskirt she had was not made for her to walk up the stairs but her actress managed to completely pull it off without messing up the show so props to her.
I think the big issue is that the hemline seems to drop just slightly at the front, causing her to (probably) step on it when climbing up the stairs (you can see her stumble a little while Jasmine and Aladdin dance), causing a big part of the lowest flounce to drag on the floor. I'm surprised so much fabric fell off, maybe it was only tacked due to a lack of time? Anyway, that must have been a stressful moment for her ❤ and yes, kudos to her for keeping her chin up - she no doubt trusted the magic till the end! And I want to expand the kudos to the costume makers, they do an incredible job backstage, working with such complex pieces 🎉
Did DLP for my grandaughters 16th last year, we have been every year for the last 7 years bar Covid. She's now decided shes out grown it😢. Have some beautiful photos of her sat on those very stairs after having her makeup and hair done the very 1st time we went. It's such a shame that we will never get to stay in Disney Hotel, now it's been renovated . We have some beautiful memories ❤
