Pondicherry is going to be my retirement city :) I was born around Pondicherry living in overseas for decades , every time i visit for holiday always search for good cafe bars and hotels but always ends in lousy place this video really helps me for my future holiday , i add all your places in my good map for future visit thanks lot
It's better to think before you make the retirement decision. Except the Cafes and bars I don't think the city has nothing much to offer. May be stinky unmaintained waste water ditches running either side of the roads and streets can be offered by Pondicherry these days.

If it is not for the french colony, nice Cafes and beaches we would be only seeing stinky unmaintained waste water ditches running in either side of the roads and streets throughout the Pondicherry.
