I like BF as an ascended units because he doesn't out right replace old emperor in all situations. I'll say he's preferred in most but when you need extra team wide dr or a stats up, regular emp has you covered.
He's not overhyped the biggest problem imo is people keep comparing him to awk emp when they serve two different purposes. OG emp works well as a dmg dealer with more self sufficiency being able to provide a heal and solid dps and BF emp is more of a dmg support/sub attacker. He can work as a solid dps due to his stacking TW's but he really shines in mono light comps where he can work in tandem with other aps while also being able to provide dmg res down.
After using him for about a week now he felt very wonky at first. However getting used to his kit he performs amazing. His damage res down on true arts coupled with artgen is where I feel he stands out. It feels amazing to use with certain team comps. It feels like you can true art with him and seconds later follow up with a Super arts dealing insane damage.
Cant wait for the "HELL YEAH YOU SHOULD SUMMON FOR HK ROY" and then the "pulling for HK roy" and if he doesnt get it he will make a vid titled "HK roy was always mid dont pull for him instead wait for *insert X jp ascended*"

Pulled this guy, lb7 and everything. Used alongside houka and SGliza he's cracked, the arts gen from SGliza and Houka give more than enough for him to use his SA in alternation with his other abilities. I mainly keep him slotted in the second slot for that support eq ct buff. Also, I PULLED THE MAN SHADOW HIMSELF LETS GOOO
The only thing I dislike about Bf emp is his 6 star tw, because I feel that now that he has one, the ascended units that come next may follow this trend, which would make expert Lb stones even more valuable than they already are
He came out a year ago and still no one else has one, so what're you whining about? Besides, expert lb aren't valuable per se, just rare. Since for the vast majority of units, lb6/7 is just a luxury that is often just a side grade or even downgrade in terms of slots.
I have him I think he is pretty good I use him in the 4th slot so you can get eqwipmet speed to physcal magical a support so you can have 3 eqwipmet ct buffs going on at the same time
Should I reroll for HP Isliid and Shadow?? I just started and don’t have much yet, the KOB banner hated me and have trouble clearing stuff but can level fast since days are running out for events. My daughter has both with their gear plus og Thetis, hazuki , saber alter with her true, dl vox, dark riv, og berwick, demon edge berwick with his true, og Rosetta with her true, og vox, rin/luvia with their true, and a few more but she don’t everything to get them, she’s wondering if she made a mistake and should have saved crystals, she’s currently pulling everything 30 for do vox true…she feels like she should reroll and slow down lol, thoughts anyone??
Personally, I think the biggest con to BF emperor is really using this unit to its full potential. Why don’t think new players will struggle using him, it’s the idea that you’re kind of locked off with some of his kit because you can’t really 7LB him once you get him. (Currently you can 7LB as of Nov 2024 for the extra lb you get in log in and mission rewards) Even getting the man’s true weapon, pacifically his 6 star one, to max lb is rough for a new player.
The thing is, you don't need his Lb6 or 7. Most of the time he's used, you're only using his TA. The support slot would be nice but you don't need it. The extra damage you get from his TW, you won't even notice the difference unless he's the only dps on your team.
There is no content in the game 😭 The story stages are useless after A while. Then the new stages require specific characters or specific buffs which kinda locks him out. That's the problem almost all these new units are facing. Bf emperor suffers from the lack of universal usability, that's his biggest problem. Why use him over wgfen, sunraku and many more. There's really no point when you factor in that all super awk just destroy all these old fights. Then on top of that he isn't at the top priority list when it comes to LB 7. Shirou meh is still better, DLrim, DLvox Sgliza and so on, him having A 5*supp at LB 7 is just A slap in the face. The biggest parts of the game receive little to no updates, items, equip anything at all, mines barely come back, raids are also barely here. So he's basically useless.🤷🏽♀️
Got him through multiple shafts and seeing kit is alright i guess not too overpowered or bad just a mid, though good thing is that he artgens to an extend along ( his true weapon either depends on what you want) he does decent dmg. But his main ability also depends on which team slot he's in. I got so confused why he doesn't do a lot
I pulled Emp and while he is really good, something does feel off about him. His 5* Phys true weapon feels worse than the farmable version, his True Arts doesn’t last long enough, his Arts on skill does seem low and he is missing a key element from his OG kit, being the stat up on his Arts. I would like to see them update/tweak the ascended version of Emp as the Awokened version seems better in several ways.
He definitely wasn't as obviously impactful as I expected him to be. I was as excited as when I got War God Fen, but while War God Fen lived up to it, I'm now looking forward to getting normal Emperor in Forever Summons instead xD Equipment CT buffs are pretty useful but his kit doesn't have that carry feel to it. That oomph you expect from such an "important" character. I guess what I'm trying to say is that he didn't just suddenly make the game easier like War God Fen did, but maybe it's better that way. Part of my disappointment probably also stems from the fact that he doesn't have the status up, I don't know why but I was so convinced he'd have it and I was planning about how I'd use him with that in mind. Actually i gotta disagree with you, after some time i realized, i need a bigger output for artgen with less time than less artgen but with longer duration, because most of unit paired are already have artgen with different type. That way, after using TA/SA i can use it right away I would say, he's not overhyped, but i'd say essential, i need him, but not crucial
bro doesn't now.. BF emperor has a passive 7 art/sec if not in status alliment.. and he get the skill with art gauge 20 up.. that crazy thoo.. no unit in gs got that skill and pasive art gauge.
Been using him with SGL Lcest and lucy. But if I need to tank I us Miranda or the boy Duran (just for fun and with the amount of ct buff they basically have no cool down)
Hey OP, I managed to get BF Emperor and Beta, but I also want to try getting Demon Lord Vox and Demon Edge Berwick, but I don't know if it would be worth it. Would it be worth trying to get them?
Dl vox is only good if you have other dark demon ascended units, not good for new players. De berwick is ok but not worth going for. They are not bad pickups but don't waste all your crystals trying to get them. Save for the new hk roy and crossover units as they will be much more useful

I got him to luck 32 and he is pretty darn solid not as good as WGF or Houka or Shiro but in his own right he's a good unit. Imo his TA needs to be increased to around 20 seconds and he'd be in a better spot

The one thing that hold Emperor for becoming relevant is his Art gen type is B, and as we know, there's a lot Type B art gen If only he was type A or F, he might be more applicable
While I agree that his skill and arts gen are a little week, he is still absolutely broken. With the right setup, you can keep his whole kit (aside from arts gen) up pretty much the entire time. I've been rocking Shiro, BFE, SChloe and Illya, and they destroy just about everything.

Not good as expected. If you have Shirou, he do not have critical buffer, means you need another support to have it. No support equip if not 7. Lisa is better with equip speed up. Also if want to use super art, then you need another artgen as true art only increase 80 arts. So just a good art gen and debuffer
Im new since summer fate but ive got this guy, shirou, summer miyu and regular fate chloe and im melting anything that isnt a specialty fight with specific mechanics. My team might even be trash for all I know but all i know is things are dying and the arts dont stop.
He was over hyped! Way before he came out. He is good! He is great! But he is in no way a needed unit. There is no content that he is needed to clear. Basically if you like him and get him congrats. But if you don’t have enough to pity this banner don’t waste it. Pull once and save.
to be honest i agree, obviously he's not anywhere near to be a bad unit but the moment i read his true art i instantly see the flaw. I know that 10 arts gauge per second is crazy but, for just 8 sec is a little bit bad and if you don't have other type of arts gen you basically can't use his super arts "obviously you're not forced to use his super arts but yeah it's literally a -1 mechanic of the unit because of that" And yeah I've read his WHOLE kit the moment he got into the game "and i didn't like his 7 arts gauge per second being hp based, if you're just 1% lower the passive won't trigger but that's isn't that bad" but some stages you don't even lose hp so that's why his principal passive is ok for me. And to finish this commentary i have to say "yeah he's definitely worth summoning but not a must summon", because in the future"near or a very long future" he will probably be replaced by another unit without that flaw but that's normal. I'm not hating the unit but yes he was over hyped VERY over hyped, "and I'm not gonna talk about the position passive because that is situational" but yeah sorry for the VERY LONG text, he is very good but not the type of unit you can simply trow in any content and expect him to solo. I use both of them together also. Even though they have different arts type, they still work great on a team.

Im new since summer fate but ive got this guy, shirou, summer miyu and regular fate chloe and im melting anything that isnt a specialty fight with specific mechanics. My team might even be trash for all I know but all i know is things are dying and the arts dont stop.

to be honest i agree, obviously he's not anywhere near to be a bad unit but the moment i read his true art i instantly see the flaw.
I know that 10 arts gauge per second is crazy but, for just 8 sec is a little bit bad and if you don't have other type of arts gen you basically can't use his super arts "obviously you're not forced to use his super arts but yeah it's literally a -1 mechanic of the unit because of that"
And yeah I've read his WHOLE kit the moment he got into the game "and i didn't like his 7 arts gauge per second being hp based, if you're just 1% lower the passive won't trigger but that's isn't that bad" but some stages you don't even lose hp so that's why his principal passive is ok for me.
And to finish this commentary i have to say "yeah he's definitely worth summoning but not a must summon", because in the future"near or a very long future" he will probably be replaced by another unit without that flaw but that's normal.
I'm not hating the unit but yes he was over hyped VERY over hyped, "and I'm not gonna talk about the position passive because that is situational" but yeah sorry for the VERY LONG text, he is very good but not the type of unit you can simply trow in any content and expect him to solo.

Just like normal regular unannounced emperor, this guy is meh. I got him from alch cause no thank you Smash Your Face In Holy Roy has ahold of mah crystals. Star God and Emp should find a magnifying glass and look at what might have been. Both are utterly overrated. “Oh, you don’t get SGL, cause you don’t have the units.” New Emp SGL Hazuki, and SChloe are all overrated because they are glued to their true weapons. If you can’t get light damage on their equips they DO NOT WORK! WGF (also overrated?)
SMiyu Miyu Houka Shirou Uzu the list goes on, of better units that don’t need True Weapons or weapons tied to their element to really show you what’s up. Emp has always been overrated because at one point a few years ago he was the guy, but never a SSS guy. Summoners Road, of course, I wish Perfect Posture Says Yes Ma’m Helps Old Ladies across the street could take a bullet if he wanted to Emp was actually worth it…but he’s not.
