Teide, with its 3,715 meters above sea level (and more than 7,500 meters from its base on the ocean floor), is the highest peak in Spain and the third largest volcanic structure on the planet if measured from the ocean floor. It is located in the Canary Islands, specifically on the island of Tenerife, within the Teide National Park, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007.
