Can we connect 2 swithes for start and stop operation on your controller ? Also is it possible to measure step lost during operation?

what would cause the stepper motor to stall at high rpm? cant get motor past 5/8 adjustment on trim. thanks

This is what I was looking for, I just wish you provided more information. What are the black wires for? What did you accomplish by changing jumper? What motor and controller are you using? Is this Nema 23 step motor? Can you please describe what two buttons do? Is it stop / run clockwise and stop / run CCW?

@@PhatPeatTube Thanks, I got it working and made couple projects. One is that I still use today regularly.

is it possible to control slow step 20 or 30 min interval for couple of weeks?

Not with this controller. You'd probably want to use an Arduino for such task.

Could not help noticing on floor you have plugged in another power source.. any reason.. I am trying to follow your wiring on your vid...

One powers the signal generator and the other powers the stepper driver.
Maybe this video will give more clarity

Can we instead use a frequency generator to measure the frequency of the motor?

You show it works but fail to explain how you get there. One could follow the wiring except the 5V source is never explained. The required voltages are left out and so are the connections. This board can be wired many ways and still work.

Dick Mick super old video, check this one. Yeah there are a lot of different ways to wire it up. th-cam.com/video/stxFDjTuzkA/w-d-xo.html

A better title would be How to watch someone else run a stepper motor with a PWM. Nothing here helps anyone build their own. No schematics, no details on components used.

While normally I would agree with you 100%, this particular video is on a product page aimed to a VERY specific and niche application. To this day I'm blown away how 63,000 others have found this otherwise super pointless video.
