Well, being born before Beethoven and having passed away after Chopin is quite an achievement. However his style's evolution remained confined into the Classicism, whose he was a principal actor in his time although criminally ignored today. I like his music that is often at Haydn level. This concerto is even more rarely heard than his Symphonies, Concertante and Quartets hence it's a precious contribution to spread his knowledge. And btw it's a wonderful and crystalline example of pure Classicism worth Haydn keyboard concertos and not to be shy even upfront several Mozart ones.
Chopin played this when he was nearly eight on Feb 24,1818. This got him noticed by the nobility and established him as a brilliant piano player.
Sheer joy.. a real delight. Such lovely melodic and flowing music. Thanks for posting it.
Such a delight to be introduced to this neglected composer. Wonderful. Thank you.
