    Chopin played this when he was nearly eight on Feb 24,1818. This got him noticed by the nobility and established him as a brilliant piano player.

    Well, being born before Beethoven and having passed away after Chopin is quite an achievement. However his style's evolution remained confined into the Classicism, whose he was a principal actor in his time although criminally ignored today. I like his music that is often at Haydn level.
    This concerto is even more rarely heard than his Symphonies, Concertante and Quartets hence it's a precious contribution to spread his knowledge. And btw it's a wonderful and crystalline example of pure Classicism worth Haydn keyboard concertos and not to be shy even upfront several Mozart ones.
