This is great. Thanks for making this video! We used your book 1 video extensively last year, and now my daughters on book 2, will be using this as well.
Thank you so much for this video! It's a little silly, but I was finally able to locate a song I remembered hearing my sister practice a lot but couldn't remember the name of (we live in different states, so the last time I heard her play cello was several years ago now, and she's far, far past Suzuki book 2) - Anyway! I appreciate this a lot. Great playing, also! You look like you're having so much fun :)
Wow that's awesome you could finally identify the song through the video! By the way which one was it? :) Thanks so much for your kind words and I'm glad I could help out. 😁
So grateful for these videos. A question for variation: on the up bow with the slurs is it bouncy or is the bow staying on the string for the separated up bow.
Thanks for the question! I see the up bows like a stop-stop on the string. (Think about how you first did the variation of twinkle in book 1) I think of this bowing as a good way of getting used to producing a clear sound on up bows (like a good clear hard consonant). So while it isn't bounced, it isn't crunched down with a bad tone either. I hope this answers your question!
Hello and thank you for these interpretations. Do these methods all have CDs? I would like piano accompaniment to progress and no longer play alone. A bit like cello time methods. Thank you for your reply.
Hello! Yes the Suzuki method books all come with CDs. Just make sure that they are in the version of the music you purchase. I am working on compiling my own accompaniments to these pieces. The ones in the video are all played by myself.
Thank you for your quick response. For example, if I order volume 2, will the CD match the partitions of volume 2? Are you going to make a recording of the accompaniments with a cello?

Thanks so much! I'm glad this video can be helpful 😁
love how this one has stronger vibrato than the book 1 video, makes sense :D
Thank you, this is a huge help. Your playing is beautiful.

Any chance for a “slow Sunday” book 2 with tips ?
I have a few out there, but I will try to work on some others!
