Neopolitan Dance by Nino Marcelli | Cellomoji Cover
มุมมอง 1473 หลายเดือนก่อน
Book: amzn.to/3WjgBlP Piano: cellomoji.sellfy.store/p/neomarcelli/ Neopolitan Dance is a quick fun piece that works a lot on left hand articulation and right hand smoothness. This is a great speed piece as well! I like how there is a contrasting middle section that works on different bow skills. It is important to remember to vibrate during pizzicato sections to make sure the notes ring out. Th...

I'm actually playing the violin intermediate book version of the song and putting it in the range that I prefer. I think the cello book is great for beginners but I didn't like it as much in the lower range. There were a co...

Piano: cellomoji.sellfy.store/p/kellydiversions/ This is a set of 3 pieces by Bryan Kelly. It was really hard to find a copy to purchase and I believe this is unfortunately out of print. Vibrato, and good tone will always help enhance a...

Music: amzn.to/3VWSUzJ Here is a cover of The Piano Guys' version of Before You Go. While the song is originally Lewis Capaldi, The Piano Guys did a beautiful arrangement here for cello and piano. This is off of their "Chill" album, which has a bunch of fun and beautiful arrangements. This is a great piece to work on vibrato, long tones, and rhythms with bowings! ;p Especially since this is wri...

Music Piano This is a slow dance that works on trills, bow control, and making overall good tones. This is from the book The Young Cellist's Repertoire book 3 selected and edited by Julian Llloyd Webber and Simon Nicholls. This is also classified under UIL level 3. Remember setting the bow before starting upbows will ensure a clean and clear sound. Also vibrato will always bring up the level of...

Region 32 MS Cello Etude 2024

Here's a playthrough of 2024's middle school etude cut for Region 32. For those of you who think this sounds like Popper 1...you are correct! Be sure to keep notes short even if you are practicing through it slowly. You don't need a lot of bow for each note. It is more about clarity. If you can do vibrato~ even better: especially on the notes that have accents on them. Good luck! And remember w...

Music: amzn.to/3xlYLBe Piano: cellomoji.sellfy.store/p/vlnlarghettohandel/ Here is a beautiful movement by Handel from his Violin Sonata Op 1 No 13. Hello Sister. To clearly understand your teaching I had reduced the playing speed to 0.75 but I could watch only till 7:28 minutes when I stopped the video. From this brief stretch of watching your video, I understood that my 72-year old brain has no 'musical centre' to receive and process the musical information you are imparting. I have the divine gift of composing Christian songs, have already brought out 10 albums, but yet, I have no knowledge of music theory. I can play at an amateur level the flute and bulbul and know that if I devote more time to them I could get better. But, I understand my limitations and decided to continue with my earliers methods of bringing out my songs: I simply song out the song in a way that sounds nice to me though I have no idea in the least of what tempo, beats and key signatures are! I send this recorded song to my music composer who decides the tempo, beat and key of the song and sends me the rough track that I use to sing the main vocals in GarageBand on my Mac. Cheers. Thanks for trying to help. Have a great day and a very blessed future. Regards Dr. Somanna
Thanks for this nice video. I have the gift of composing Christian songs but have no knowledge of music. To help me practise new songs and learn the ideal tempo for a song, I was searching the net and clicked upon this video of yours. I am minded to download the Smart metronome and tuner to my iPhone and perfect the timing of the new songs I'll compose. Do you have any video to help me along in this use of a metronome? God bless you.
Thank you for watching! There are many metronome apps out there that can be useful~ but learning to play with one can be confusing at first. Here's a video where I explain using a metronome. From there you can either download an app or use a separate device. I hope this helps! th-cam.com/video/iSHUjxIouP0/w-d-xo.html
@@Cellomoji wow, thanks for this speedy response. I had downloaded Smart metronome app yesterday and tried singing my new song. But, as you have rightly pointed out, I came to the conclusion that I don’t have the ability to know how to determine the beat required for the song. I will certainly look into the video you have suggested and try to figure out whether I can do it. God bless you dear.

Help me find the continuation of book 2. I can't find it help me with the link.
Hi, thank you so much for watching! I actually have not published past this video...yet. I'm working on getting them done though!
@@Cellomoji Teacher that means I wont practice until then, but while am still waiting for the new publication you can recommend or give me work to do. I will appreciate.
How do you play accidentals, for example in a C-major piece you fine G#, C#...Does it mean i have to be moving my thumb every time?
It depends on the situation, but in general if you have to do an extended 4 for G# or C# I recommend moving the thumb to make it easier. But what if it is G# extension 1 backwards....then no don't move your thumb from first position. Or if it is C# on the a string in 1st position or extended 1 back on the c string~ also no don't move your thumb. Some situations shifting to a different position may make the following notes easier, but without knowing where in the piece it is I don't want to give bad info :). Thanks for the question!
Thank you for making and taking the time to produce this video. I think my daughter enjoys getting to see ladies playing the cello and we are enjoying your videos together!
I'm so glad you both found my videos! Looking forward to hearing about her cello progress, and definitely let me know how I can help.
my boy loved your slow play series but he couldn’t find one for Minuet No. 3 (Suzuki book 3). Hope you will consider doing it ❤

Just beautiful! You’re fantastic. Where can you download the piece with the music in the background ?
@@ElanaRendell Thank you! I'm not totally sure I understand your question. But the sheet music to this piece is something that I have purchased. The link to that is in the description box.
@@Cellomoji thank you I will purchase and download the piece It’s just so nice being accompanied by the piano music in the background. In stead of just a solo piece I wasn’t sure if that was a Cd or a separate download / on in the background Thanks 🌸
I totally understand! Thanks for reminding me~ I forgot to put the link to the piano accompaniment that I played. There was no pre-recorded track out there so I recorded myself playing it: cellomoji.sellfy.store/p/carryingyou/. @@Cellomoji I come to your recordings often for inspiration. I'm an older adult trying to learn the cello. I've been playing for a couple of months now and have worked my way through the Hal Leonard books and am now plowing my way through the suzuki books 1 and 2. I've been a brass player for 50 years and I decided to try something new. It is harder than I thought it would be.
I'm glad that I can give you inspiration! Suzuki definitely steps things up a bit from other method books. But just like anything~ the beginning is always a bit rough and then it gets easier. The biggest thing will be patience, since you already know music it can be a little tedious with beginner songs. The physical technique will be a bit slower process, but I'm sure you'll get there. You already know all about perseverance! :)
